Insym’s level, as shown in the beginning of the video is 7870.
(7870+1+1+1)/4 = 1968.5 which is close enough to OP’s original answer.
Phasmophobia should have a mode called “Traitor” and one person in the group is actually a ghost
Or a doppelganger, but it's really really hard to code it to look natural, and easy to figure out
On wii u you can play as a ghost and catch your friends. It's the closest to phasmo i had played before 😀

Refreshing to see someone that actually understands the game do a playthrough, i've been watching IGP, Icy, and Drae play this. While the bickering and rookie mistakes can be entertaining it would be great if they would take it seriously for at least part of the video.
I wish they would take it slightly more seriously just so that I can watch them play it to its full potential. I only watch drae and icy because igp screams way too much lol can't enjoy the game when everything pisses him off or scares him lol but yeah I agree with you is what I'm trying to say
It was the same with markiplier, wade, bob, and jack when they played. none of them had any clue what they were doing(except wade kind of, but not really?). It was fun to watch at least though, probably mainly because I myself knew nothing about the game either.

Wait, multiplayer lobbies wouldn't just kick you at that level? I couldn't join multiplayer lobbies without getting kicked until I was at least level 100.

I literally just had the same situation, joined a discord channel being level 6 and this group of people with the one guy at level 2000 just took me into a safari on the assylum pro. XD

Insym indeed has so much experience in this game, that at this point putting most Phasmo players in a lobby with himself, would result in an obvious skill difference. Playing this game for the first time back in 2020 was scary in itself, can’t imagine starting off the game with all the new ghost interactions and noises. So many more horror based features make the game probably even more horrifying to start off with.

orbs + freezing is the best pair on nightmare - you can always 100% define the ghost (excluding pairs that leave only two ghosts)

It was fun watching you two. Good times! I'm new to this too. I'm level 14. I had an attic ghost on Bleasdale and was to scared to finish the mission. I didn't have enough equipment to cover that area. I had no idea where to place my stuff. I just guessed the ghost and left, got it wrong but oh well. Thanks for the videos!
Getting a thermometer usually helps locating the ghost. Ghost orbs and salt too
@@windrunner8497 yeah I got two of the three evidence. I didn't see ghost orbs, didn't notice freezing temps. Not sure I could get fingerprints since there is nothing up there that leaves them I don't think. I never saw emf either. I guessed and left was afraid the ghost would hunt and murder me, lol. I'll remember to bring in thermometer next time. I'm only playing on amateur right now.
I've died so many times trying to hide behind that door to the garage. I must not be doing it right.
I think it’s because we aren’t holding the door, like we get behind it but let go of the mouse key and lets it go. That’s my only assumption.
A few important things, you need to break line of site before hiding, equipment turned off, and hold the door. If you still get blasted through the door than it means it had a way to locate you there.
Man this beginner is brave, and he is doing well.
Puh... I feel like the biggest coward in the world for being level 160-something, and never having played on professional or nightmare, cause I'm scared to go in alone
My advice as an equally cowardly level 70 something? Learn the sanity thresholds for when hunts can happen.
To my knowledge, no hunts happen above 80 sanity unless you use tarot or a voodoo doll or something, and if you pay attention to that number each time you're in the truck and just use pills or bail when you think it's getting dicey, you'll quickly start to improve your survival rate. 60 is the magic "Almost everything can hunt now" number, And 50 is the "Now you're in REAL danger" level because even the ghosts with weaknesses like mare in a bright room can hunt. Lower than that increases the frequency of hunts.
Also remember your sanity freezes outside the house and you cannot be hunted there; take a breather if you need to. Candles and turning lights on also stops sanity bleed inside the house, but ghost events/activity can still damage your sanity. If you're really afraid, Candle+Smudge+Lighter is a kit that allows you to stop sanity bleed, have a quick emergency escape, and just explore the map to find a suspicious area. No Electronics in that also means you never accidentally forget to kill your light and die to that. Just mute your mic and run, and smudge if you're unsure.
Remember, you lose nothing if you leave early, but lose everything if you die. There's no shame in continuing to live for another fight.
Nightmare is a different beast though; I only recommend professional unless you're a masochist.

I played my first solo game yesterday and I got a perfect game. I was so happy because I’m usually terrified at solo but it all worked out.

Lol I felt that part abt getting off when it’s scary. I watch phasmophobia game play all the time but when I play alone it’s too scary that I’ll get off after a few games lol. But thankfully since insym teaches us so much about ghost behaviors I’ve been able to apply the knowledge and figure out the ghost when I’m too scared to get my last evidence and it’s normally always right

the one problem with glass door spot is that since the ghost occasionally checks spots inside the room (spots the game knows exist) or maybe even wants to walk inside the washing machine room when the ghost walks out if you don't know how to do the spot correctly the ghost will soo your head peeking out and kill I've seen way too many players say "this is the best spot on willow" then die the next hunt.

the second he narrowed it down to Obake vs Banshee, i knew it was an Obake cause of how it didnt leave fingerprints on the lightswitch early in the mission
It just comes down to remembering the events at that point. Also do note he is streaming and teaching at the same time and a lot of stuff eludes you at the moment in time due to sorting information
I got bamboozled by a Rev in Nightmare recently. I hid during a hunt and heard that it was really slow, so I thought to myself "Oh, this must be a Hantu, because these rooms are warm!"
I completely forgot that Rev is suuuuuuuuper slow without line of sight on you. :|
I also forgot the recent Hantu changes mean it doesn't really get THAT slow even when it's warm.

I can tell Insym was a teacher or something because he remembers he might need to explain basic things. It's hard to explain but he has a teaching style when he explains.

Started quite recently with my friends. One friend had made me play it a few times on vr before I got my computer. They are still around level 20 because they only play with friends and I'm soon breaking 100 because i didn't know playing alone was viewed as scarier than with friends 😅

My first game was in nightmare mode. That is one way to get good real fast
Me, a fellow decently experienced friend, and a somewhat experienced friend took another friend who we only did one mission with to asylum in nightmare with starter items and strong flashlights. Somehow we all survived, but we got the ghost wrong due to mixing up the hidden ability.
To all the jaded pro Phasmo players: Stefan's reactions are a wonderful window into how we used to be; it's so much fun reliving the game through fresh eyes! That being said, Stefan is well studied in the school of Insym. There's so much more to this game now than when it first released, and I almost wish I could erase my memories and experience to hop into the game as it is now!

I thought the first ghost already showed obake in the first five minutes? Because even if Insym missed the interaction time slot the fingerprints should still have been on the lightswitch? Am I the only one who noticed that?
