Not sure how you missed that. Anyway, I love this episode. Starscream and Knockout working together to survive a horror movie is hilarious.

One of my favorite TFP episodes with the best duo taking the lead and Soundwave making his coldest scene yet.

Fun facts:
- Knock Out's proclamation of "It's alive" echoes the famous words spoken in Frankenstein. This is what, the third time in this series?
- In addition to the segmented jaw and barbed tongue, the Terrorcons' teeth also transform into vampiric fangs.
- As Knock Out indicated, destroying the head is the traditional way to kill zombies in many horror movies. But only human ones.
- This episode heavily pays homage to the 1985 zombie film The Return of the Living Dead where two humans (Frank and Freddie) cause a gas to spread across a cemetery that revives dead corpses into zombies and then plays comedy with the two trying to control the situation while blaming each other for the zombie apocalypse, much like Starscream and Knock Out in this episode. The zombies in The Return of the Living Dead couldn't be killed by headshots, either.
- There is also some homage to the film Blade II, specifically in the physiological effects of the virus. The Reapers, genetically engineered vampire mutants, possessed the same type of unfolding jaw and feeding tendril, as well as a greatly increased blood appetite due to a heightened metabolism.
- Starscream and Knock Out's conversation while hiding from the zombies is reminiscent of a scene in Dr. Strangelove wherein General Ripper and Group Captain Mandrake are hunkered down as a firefight rages around their base, and Ripper explains his fear that Communists are out for his "precious bodily fluids".
- Knock Out places his fingers on the neck of the first Vehicon that fell victim to Cylas to check for life signs. This is often done to test a seriously injured person for a pulse in their carotid artery.
- The Terrorcons' mouths open like the Predators, and they also have tube-shaped tongues with fanged jaws like the Xenomorphs.
Airacnid was bitten by Silas before she jumped away that’s y the camera switches to behind Silas to hide the bite on airacnid’s neck that is visible when the insecticon approaches her
Unfortunately Airachnid NEVER appears again in the entirety of either this or the sequel show, if I remember right she's never even mentioned again, which is a real shame.
Fr, like yea, I get that's technically payback for what she did to Arcee and Breakdown, but at least give her SOME type of ending
I'm more upset that she brought the Insecticons with her, I liked their designs
@@denzeldelaney6578 Megatron still has other Insecticons off the ship so all is not lost. I don't know why Soundwave sent them all instead of just Airachnid either.
@@angelapolinar5343 Presumably Soundwave was unsure of the range at which Airachnid could control Insecticons, and didn't want to risk that the connection wouldn't reach all the way from Cybertron and that they would continue attacking.
As for the ending, my interpretation was that Airiachnid was doomed, eventually she would run out of Insecticons, particularly since they presumably are immune to her control when they become infected by her bite and would start feeding on their uninfected fellows, and once they're all infected, they won't have any more energon to feed, and will eventually starve to death.
@@medafan53The thing is…I don’t think terrorcons CAN starve to death because of their dark energon. Meaning they’re doomed to an even worse fate; wandering that barren moon in eternal starvation…basically forever.
It's crazy how there is absolutely NO cameo of the Autobots, let alone a mention, yet this is arguably one of the Top 10 best episodes in the show
Not to mention that functionally it is the greatest victory they've managed so far, more than half the Decepticons' Military might lost in one episode, including the entire Insecticon Hive, and the Autobots didn't even do anything.
I like the call backs we got in previous episodes but a Decepticon spin on them, like Starscream and Knockout's heart to heart "if this is the end" like Arcee and Optimus in the scraplet episode where they were stranded in the Arctic, word for word "getting smack down, shot at, blown up, this is hiw our lights go out" and the Airachnid Soundwave "confrontation" ending with Soundwave teleporting her far away like a minor inconvenience like he did to Arcee when she was trying to find Optimus(who at the time as Orion) they even say scream at the realization that they were teleported away
Also Knockout being an Earth Movie fan is funny to me "at drive-in theaters"
This episode is like when the autobots had the scraplets
Fun fact: one of the Velicons is played by Peter Cullen
Remember how Ratchet said that Airachnid deserved worse than statis for all of her heartless crimes,well that is exactly what she got by getting infected into a cannabalistic brain dead terrorcon zombie (Silas was able to get a good bite into her neck when he pinned her to the wall before she broke away from him) who now feeds on her insecticon followers energon only postponing the inevitable death coming her way due to the synthetic part of the infection.Airachnid finally got what was coming to her though in the most disturbing way anyone could have thought possible
Breakdown got the last laugh on Airachnid by turning her into a Terracon.
What a dark episode this was. Starscream and Knock out comedically trying to survive a homicidal plague that they created, not to mention arachnid becoming an extension of that and now feeds on her worshippers on Cybertron's moon 💀💀

For the moon confusion, Cybertron has two moons.
Since we never see Arachnid or the Insecticons again, I like to think the infected Arachnid eventually starved to death or was killed.
She won't just die - it will literally be a living death.
This is a way worse.
At first there will be something exciting about it.
The excitement of the hunt, the taste of prey - in fact, she finally became a true “predator”.
She may even like it for a while.
She will drink Insecticons energon and probably hunt them for fun.
After some time, she will beg for death.
This endless thirst will drive her insane, there will be no energon left anywhere, and there is nothing to remove the thirst.
But the incessant agony is growing.
At some point she will try to drain all of her energon in an attempt to die.
But somehow the "dark" component will continue resurrecting her, over,and over - forcing her to live on, and prolonging her agony forever.
After some more time, “she” will no longer exist.
Those who arrive on this moon, among the drained corpses of the Insecticons, will find a tattered, squealing and chirping creature, completely lost its former grace and devoid of even signs of intelligence.
Hardly anyone who knew Arachnid would recognize her in this thing.
And they'll just shoot her like another wild bug.
I can easily say that this is my favorite or second favorite episode of the show without a doubt

I recently watched a video where Knockout is running to the Pirates of the Caribbean theme. Now, whenever I rewatch this episode that's all I see.

Usual Undead cybertronian in season 01 is more like Norse Zombies the Draugr from God of War but these new undead is more like Vampire Undead since they feed on life blood the energon and can only truly die when got shot at the heart or spark, and infect others via bites
