Good stuff but I still haven't found the ticking in my car. I have searched a book and youtube. My ticking is in a 2003 Impala. It seems to only occur when I accelerate from over 30 mph. It speeds up and slows down when I accelerate. At high acceleration, it is fast. The engine light flickers. It seems to be upper. I have let it sit for a couple of weeks. I have only run it to and from a grocery store, 1.5 miles away and didn't run it over 30. No tick. What do you think? A couple of mechanics think it is a push rod but that doesn't seem to fit. Another one guessed a control rod for the throttle, which sounds good, but isn't that only in diesel?
