This is the best bow video hands down. It's easy to follow, it get straight to the point, no intro, simply uses ribbon and scissors - so it's super easy, non need for metal ties or other supplies - and you can even get a decent bow without the scissor cuts with this method.

I finally found this video; I'd seen it about 2 years ago, but didn't save it. I LOVE the first bow made with that stiff-ish ribbon. I used to work in the gift wrap dept at JC Penney many moons ago, (of course, most places now only have gift bags...BOOOO!!!) Anyway, we used this type of bow. Of course, we didn't make them from scratch; they came looped up, with the center notches there and we just had to pull the loops up from the inside, just as it shows in the video. Thanks!!

I followed your bow tutorial on a package I just wrapped. But instead of using ribbon I used a spool of 3" wide tulle made by Wyla, Inc. I purchased at Jo~Ann Fabrics. It turned out beautifully and I was so pleased! Thank you so much for your easy to follow demonstration.
Beautiful! Thanks!! I'm so tired and annoyed with those "stick-on" bows!! This has been a great help! Just one thought: if you have pinking shears, you could use them to cut off the edges of the ribbon at the end, instead of the scissors.

Great tutorial :) ... But just so you know, you can't buy that ribbon at Hobby Lobby. We haven't carried it for at least the 5 years I've worked there. The only time you can get it is during homecoming and it's only sold by the yard :( There is one that is similar, but it is not quite as stiff so you won't get the same result. You can buy the satin one, though :) :)
