I have the utmost respect for her and I miss her so much. her loyalty to her late husband was something. man I'm trying not to cry now lol.

I also grew up without a real father figure, I had people guide me along the way but to be honest, 9 times out of 10 they only told me how to do things the right way so I didn’t mess something up. So speaking as a guy who’s also had to grow up learning a lot on his own here’s some other helpful tips: you ARE going to nick yourself a few times, no matter how many times you shave it’s gonna happen. Use an aftershave which has little or no alcohol, it really really dries out your skin and can be damaging. If you’re using a straight razor, don’t get too caught up in how many blades it has, I have very thick hair and I’ve found that any amount of blades past 3 is typically just a waste of money cuz they work the exact same but last the same amount of time. If you shave in the shower, shave before you use your shampoo, not only will that make getting all the small hairs off easier as the water flows down your face, it’ll also help wash off any shaving cream or butter you may have missed. And last but definitely not least, take your time, yeah you’ll get better with every shave, but even my dad was still nicking himself up until he was 47 when he passed, it doesn’t matter how many times you do it, you’re gonna nick yourself every now and then. Some extra tips: - Shave right after washing your face with warm water - Let the cream settle for a bit before starting - Don't push hard, don't pull too far at a time, don't shave a spot too often to avoid bumps - Don't go overboard with multi-blade razors, less blades is better for your skin - Close your pores by cleaning up with cold water

Pro tip, children, if you shave with the grain, then against it afterwards (carefully!!!) you get a tighter shave, showing less of the cut hairs

@@fhetsoh-nu2zc if you want to know how your hair is growing, look at it in the morning, not after a shower, whichever way it points is the grain but it can be dangerous if you cut yourself… I gotchu man, I taught myself how to shave, so it’s all good 👍
