  • When you buy the Akai MPC Key 37 what is included with the keyboard compared to what you have to buy for add-ons? In this video I walk through what instrument plugins, insert effects, drum expansion packs, and even hardware that comes included when you pick up the MPC Key 37.
    While there are add-ons you can buy, particularly the extra instrument plugins and expansion packs, there's a ton that already comes included - definitely enough to make some amazing beats!

    Not a very "quick" quick tip, but hope this video is helpful for those of you wondering what's included from the factory with the Akai MPC key 37! Plus some demos of the included instrument plugins! 🤩

    MPC Key 37 include 8(+1) plugins (the lack of FabricXL hurts.). MPC Key 61 include 25 plugins. If you buy all plugins for Key 37 it will be very expensive, so it follows that Key 61 is a much better buy.

      It’s kind of annoying if you would prefer the key 37 because of size.

    • @bustagrinds865
      @bustagrinds865 Před 2 měsíci +1

      The 61 is a better buy indeed, twice the memory, more buttons, and more expansions. I'm not complaining though, because the 37 is portable (usb power delivery power bank) and the 61 stays in place. Most of the plugins can be purchased on sale and/or in expansions for a couple hundred dollars total. Still comes out cheaper, but you do lose out on the extra Sample memory (mostly useful for layering more than 2 copies of piano, strings, and fabric xl)

    I love the way you teach! I'm watching a lot of MPC tutorial videos as i'm brand spanking new and just got the Akai MPC 37. I'm finding your tutorial videos so easy to follow compared to some others. I hope you continue showing tips and tricks with the MPC Key 37! Thank you.

    Great review. You touched on a lot of what others don’t. It’s a MOAB definitely. Electronic/Techno producers DO NOT SLEEP on this workstation. It’s got music potential for producing all genres of music. I love it for its performance potential. Synth parameters are easy to access and manipulate. Not enough quick access control, easily route any external controller to do the job. The device is more than a beat machine/hiphop one stop.

    What studio Headphones do you recommend or a couple you would recommend?

    • @DSoundman
      @DSoundman  Před měsícem +2

      I am using the AKG K92's right now as my main studio headphones: www.zzounds.com/a--518275/item--AKGK92?siid=183450 I love them and got them for vocal recording so I get less bleed-through of the click track due to them being closed-back. I also have the semi open AKG K240's that I love as well, they are more expensive and semi-open, so I don't find them as good for recording vocals. Great for everything else though! www.zzounds.com/a--518275/item--AKGK240MKII?siid=59071

    • @user-fy6qf7qs9b
      @user-fy6qf7qs9b Před 29 dny

      Surely you can - it's the same system as RC-600, which I have, and it can be synced and audio interconnected. I chose MPC as master with midi sync out and record from RC to MPC.

    Can I plug my guitar and foot pedal into this and have it record it?

    • @DSoundman
      @DSoundman  Před 2 měsíci

      Yeah you should be able to! The only thing I can think of is if your signal is too low from the guitar, you might need to use a compressor insert effect in the MPC to bump the volume up after recording it.

    It would be great if Akai show a demo on how to use a third party plug in MPC key 37 natural sounding VST instruments. ( Please avoid beat making any five year can do that i think)

      @@DSoundman Nice video showcasing the abilities. Do you know how this would work with a MPC Live in standalone? Which unit would be the master? I like the idea because if you have 2 stand-alone, you will not have to worry about loading the keyboard VST's in the MPC Live. Just not sure how or if they can work together.
