#TheMidnight #CounterRecords - Hudba
Gas prices will never be high enough to stop me from driving through the night blasting new Midnight tracks.
Blew through about $500 driving down to Miami to see their concert a couple Sundays ago. Worth every penny.
Lol. With you man.
oh man I bloody love your comment!
Well said 🔥
Lies
Total 80’s hair metal vibes and we are here for it! ❤️🔥❤️🔥
This sounds so crisp. A fresh spin on hair metal for sure! I think I'm on listen #7
I'm here for it. I LOVE 80's hair metal, 80's pop, and electronic music. They somehow manage to do all three and kick immense amounts of ass doing it.
Whitesnake, Brian Adams and Cult feat. The Midnight
Beast in Black - True Believer
Hair metal? More like peak Kenny Loggins! I'm talkin' Highway to the Danger Zone!
Took a lot of money to look the part
Took a lot of pain to tame a heart
Took a lot of years to lose my fear of flying
Took a long time to finally start
Then it took a good day to fall apart
Took a lot of tears to lose my fear of crying
Of crying
Change your heart or die
Fire, ticking like a time bomb
Fire, burning like a napalm
Fire, waiting at the crossroads
How will you survive?
Change your heart or die
Took one look to find your mark
And it took a rogue wave to blow apart
Took a wrong turn to finally find the yearning
In the burning
Fire, ticking like a time bomb
Fire, burning like a napalm
Fire, waiting at the crossroads
How will you survive?
Fire, ticking like a time bomb
Fire, burning like a napalm
Fire, waiting at the crossroads
How will you survive?
Change your heart or die
Fire, ticking like a time bomb
Fire, burning like a napalm
Fire, waiting at the crossroads
How will you survive?
Fire, ticking like a time bomb
Fire, burning like a napalm
Fire, waiting at the crossroads
How will you survive?
Change your heart or die
Thank you!!!
Great hit
Thank man
I like that part about napalm
one of my favorite things about The Midnight family is that there is always lyrics in the comments. tysm 😘
"How will you survive" yep that made the hair on my body stand up. Going to be jamming this in the car!!!
The Midnight has so many different styles. This song is like an epic 80's anthem. Nocturnal has a darker edge. Kids is 80's and 90's nostalgia. And many, many more.
If you guys read our comments- please keep making this music as long as you possibly can! WE NEED THIS!!!
Nocturnal is easily my favorite. The neo noir sax sounds drenched in rain are the zenith for me.
@@SpruceCampbell 100% agreed. That is my favorite album. Solid listen start to finish. You description puts it best. Plus the sax!
@@peterhamel2927 I really hope the new album has another sax masterpiece. Endless Summer has Vampires, Nocturnal has Crystalline, Monsters doesn't exactly have one where the sax is the star of the show. I'm hoping theres one that allows the sax to jam on for a good minute.
I hope they one day do a new-wave/cold-wave goth kind of theme.
@@phaedruslive ooh that could be good. Back to carpenter brut kinda stuff eh
I love how The Midnight can nail any style and kill it. What a bitchin song.
Welcome to the 2020s, the time of the Synth Revival🌌
The revival actually happened around 2007-2015 on MySpace
@@DaftLuv this is accurate, well done.
I remember Mass Effect 1 having a lot of synth sounds and then there was The Killers doing a lot of heavy synth sounds to give a couple mainstream examples. The revival certainly was in full swing by the middle part of the 2010s with Carpenter Brut, Laserhawk, the Chromatics and of course The Le El Midnighto emerging then. Home - Resonance is perhaps the most famous synthwave song and emerged in 2014.
In solidarity though, I hope the movement only keeps growing on and on through the rest of this decade and beyond!
@@DaftLuv exactly 😂
@@DaftLuv but it didn’t become mainstream till 2020 & wtf 2007? More like 2011 was when Synthwave like this came to be. It was introduced in the 2010s.
Showed my parents this, massive fans and die hard a of an era of music, I showed them this and asked what they thought and both said “ who’s this!? Definitely from the mid eighties, we missed out “ then I told them it was super recent and they said “ music isn’t dead “
Love them and love you midnight, I don’t pass that word around
I love this comment
I'm still having trouble believing this is a new song. Can't wait to show my parents and trip them out
Cool parents
@@cake94309 Same here, could've sworn that I heard it way back. It's just that authentic to their style.
Melding 80s hair metal with synthwave. A combination only The Midnight can pull off so seamlessly. Loved this tune on tour and easily in my top 10.
Check out Beware the Beast by Carpenter Brut
@@SunEagle666 Yeah. That song rocks. Not as heavy on synth with keyboards and I prefer Tyler's voice but still an epic track.
This exactly what we wanted first as well, but sadly we had no dope vocalist :( But the music was pretty much hair metal vs synthwave. Hotter Than December if you care
Dragonforce could probably pull it off.
seen them in Brixton a few weeks back, blown away.
I've always thought The Midnight were destined for a David Lynch soundtrack but almost directly lifting a quote from Twin Peaks: The Return confirms this marriage is meant to be one day.
Either this is a crazy coincidence, or The Midnight love Twin Peaks.
Also, how the hell you transition from world class electro-pop/synth-wave to fucking hair metal and still make it work?
I'm bald yet swinging my head to feel the vibe of 80s..🤗
Synthwave turn into rock vibe and we love this
Solid Days of Thunder energy, vibes and overall mood, summer's gonna be kickin'!
Definitely reminded me of that album but it's got a more aggressive style.
Hooo-freakin'-yaah brother👊
days of thunder on guitar
These guitars are more Def Leppard than Def Leppard 🔥
This takes a lot of cheesy 80s music tropes without being cheesy. It's dope AF.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh reminds me a song from the 80"s !
The energy is strong in this one.
Vibes of Steelheart, Firehouse and all such 80s classics that were forgotten are cherished in this song .. Love from India ...
Great to hear from one more fan of The Midnight in India 💜✌️
@@AdityaSingh-hs6tg9vu3u They actually have a huge indian fanbase, believe it or not I was shocked when I was in northeast every band at least played one of their songs live.
@@fakerskraa2555 Oh really? that's so cool. But you know what, I become a little selfish about the fact that not many people know about this musical miracle(The Midnight) in this world and I appreciate it subconsciously and I don't want others to know about this band coz' it is like my personal pleasure. And I know for sure this is the story of many fans across the world. But at the same time as a true fan I also love to see it grow and become well known in the music world. How weird....ha ha
Yo...this is so rad mate!
I was born in '92, yet this feels oddly nostalgic to me, like I've always heard this song before now. I guess that's just the power of The Midnight.
Feels so familiar hey
I hear ya, but the thing is.. 80's music was still fresh in the 90's imo. Born '90 but the 80's sound brings be back so hard
thats called Anemoia - feeling nostalgic for memories you never actually experienced
At a get together, doing karaoke, my 13yo son and his friend chose this song to sing to. Others in the group had never heard The Midnight...one thought she must have heard it in the 80s but couldn't remember who it was, lol. It's great that there is still some great, hard hitting music being made for my kid to enjoy.
The Midnight
Low-key King Of Retrowave
Holding Up The Entire Genre To The Light
Keep On Bringing The Sweet Nostalgia.
THEY CAN'T MAKE A BAD SONG. 10/10 every time guys well done.
This song has the vibe of the 80s training montage
That amazing feeling that u have when u hear the midnight, having nostalgia feelings without even being close to lived in the 80s.
I'm a contractor and the crew wanted me to tell you that they love it. Out here building a deck while we listen to this masterpiece.
The creativity, the variety, the excellence, The Midnight.
Hitting that "Change your heart or die!" line sounding like Lindsey Buckingham and I love it.
I was just thinking this, omg!
The Midnight Keeps Us All Alive. Remember all that You Hear.
The Midnight is more pop than pop music, I friggin love you guys
bro and this banger released on my BIRTHDAY too!???? best BDAY gift EVERRRR
I gotta be honest, I wasn't too big a fan of the vaporwave type stuff The Midnight have put out lately (although full respect to them for experimenting with different styles) but I LOVE this.
Never have I listened to a band that makes me nostalgic for a time I never lived thru…. Favorite band!!
80s hard rock and synthwave are the perfect mix!
I discovered this band a week ago and I’m obsessed. And I’m 50 years old. What is going on? 😂 #retroforlife #80schild
Dude I just went to one of the concerts and there was an insane amount of age diversity there ranging from 19 year olds to people easily in their 60s.
@@asdadassdassdassdsds I believe it. I’d definitely would go If they make it to the east coast!
Go see them live!! Mega
our musical souls are really just 12yo kids dormant for 38(and 34) additional years. that kid is still in there... The Midnight set it free!
This is the renaissance of our Gen, brother. Enjoy the ride. We all are!
Royce Whittaker is an unbelievable guitarist, and his addition to the band has been the catalyst to take this band from great to unreal. Saw them in Denver in September for the 3rd time in a year and a half, and the dude just SHREDS. These guys have become a can't miss-show for me evert time they are in town.
Reminds me of those 80s rock music my dad plays when out on a drive
This is Kenny Loggins AF and we are ALL here for it!
yay for my birthday! I' can't stress enough how grateful I am to know The Midnight exist
Love how the midnight is making the transition between late 80's to early 1990's sounding songs. Get ready for retro 90's soon.
90s becoming retro, 00s becoming a throwback era & 10s showings it’s own aesthetic…..what a time to be alive. Time flies by quick 😞
@@RetronicBruh 10's, sweetie? what aesthetic? 10's are DONE.theyre gone , dead.!
@@giovanylopez2853 In your logic so is anything before the 10s are also “dead” make It make sense ya dipshit.
@@RetronicBruh It's high time we got a band like The Midnight, but aping the style of like, Happy Hardcore or those tracks you'd find on Newgrounds that slap way harder than you'd expect some 14 year old in his grandpa's attic to be able to make them slap. Those distinctly 2000s sounds.
There are few things I can look back at from the pandemic and smile about, but discovering The Midnight is a highlight. Every new release is amazing, can't wait for an Australian tour one day
Same man! I discovered them mid June 2020.... Best find of my life music wise... What a trip!
They've been in Australia before actually, met them after a spectacular show in Richmond in August of 2019. They're amazing people.
I have so many mates to drag to a show when they tour here again hahah
I'm addicted to this song, I loved
Great song, it's really 80's again for this band!
O M G 💥💥
cool song guys 💥 I've been with you since I was 18 years old. With your music, I traveled to different places, met my girlfriend and spent evenings at the seaside, showing these songs to my friends. I love you ❤️🤍 Olek from Poland
Guys this song is sooooo good! 🔥
This is the worst song out of all the songs I've heard by these guys...But, I haven't heard nearly all of them....Cool, w/ the guitar in parts though !! Just saying :):)
@@davidgeerling1879 breh wut the hell is wrong with you
Ay up Chim!
That guitar solo is life
They CAN'T make a bad song. Seriously. This is amazing!
True !
Another classic from the best band that was not active in the 80s (but you sure wouldn't know it) :-)
This feels like it was ripped straight out of the 80's. Great music as always
OMG! 80's forever!!!!!!!!!
Nothing like a real old television set and when MTV played real music videos all the time. And I am not even from the 1980’s, but I sure connect to it. Love ya The Midnight, your one of my top fave synth wave bands ever, nice rock anthem. 😎 😘🥰😍🌟✨📺🎶👑🎵💎⚜️♥️🫶🏻🎷🤩
Heard this song live and I've been waiting for it ever since. By far one of my favorite songs so far!
Excuse the language but LETS FUCKING GOOOO, favorite band of all time. Cant wait to see live
This song came into my life at the exact right time. My father died, I was in a bad place.... This song spoke to me. I hope that you know; you can change your heart. Death isnt the only option.
Шикарно, как всегда the Midnight на высоте. При первом прослушивании почувствовался запах VHS кассет со старыми фильмами.
This song makes me wanna get a workout trainer and do workout scenes with a final fight scene at the end 😈
Sweep the leg!
hahah
@The Midnight.
Thank you for the gift of your music. ♥
Yup, wanted a new song on repeat... Who else but The Midnight ?!;❤️
Already purchased it and yet I’m still back listening to it on CZcams!! I just can’t get enough!
Epic, 80's AOR is back baby! I'm literally drowning in nostalgia right now.
I run a local college radio station where I live. The students have a unique taste in music. One student in particular introduced me, and now our listeners, to The Midnight. When I listen to your music, I hear so many influences - Phil Collins, Mike and the Mechanics, etc.. The list goes on. Keep up the amazing work and keep the sound of the eighties alive.
Gawdd damnnnn
This makes me want to wear sunglasses in a dark room
One of my absolute favorite artists ever, consistently coming out with the best music I've ever heard.
The Midnight never makes a bad song. Love this 80's nostalgia!
It's like Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Journey, and The Midnight all in one! This is amazing!
Perfect marriage between song and movie clips. Pure adrenaline rush. I loved Drive and adore The Midnight.
Cant wait for the new album! It's going to rock hard!
Wait when's the album coming?
@@harrytimmy5070 If they follow the same timeline as Monsters and Deep Blue dropping, maybe two months?
@@harrytimmy5070 Its supposed to drop around May/June I think. They answered this question at a Q&A for their live concert.
@@JJDon5150 I can't wait
Yes FINALLY a guitar driven GEM! And a great hook to boot! Been waiting YEARS for this sound from the MIDNIGHT! A Massive fan here and a pro keyboard player in Vegas - THANKS for the inspiration. You don't know it yet bur I WILL be in The Midnight eventually - LOL
Amazing music
Going back in time to 1982 over here. This is epic 💚
Amazing song. I really like the 80's rock style in this one.
If this had been released anytime between 1984 and 1987, it would definitely have been all over the radio! This song is incredible!
This couldn't have come up at a better time. Going through some rough shit right now and this really helped
Chin up mate .
Your shoulder's are broad enough to bear it .🤙👍🤙

@@steverogers6572 hey i was just trying to be nice and encouraging to a random person on the internet.
What's your racket sonny boy
just when i had a need for 80's music, WHOS BETTER THAN MY FAVORITE BAND
When I get my truck back from repo, this is the first song I'm blasting on the speakers. The freedom of driving coupled with the BEST band ever will be the greatest joy on the planet.
i love the midnight they constantly make me nostalgic for a generation i was never born in
Damn, they're like a real good dealer, just keep feeding us into that amazing high with that new new.
❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥 saw The Midnight live in Cincinnati. The best concert I have ever saw!
Today is a sunny day, a beautiful day to listen to this! congratulations guys!
Tim has absolutely NAILED the aesthetic time and time again, but this just takes the cake! But sorry to say it, I think maybe Tyler wins this one, cause that soloing was FUCKING AMAZING! I remember meeting you guys at SCALA in London years back, and I can tell the same energy is still there. My signed endless summer LP is still one of my most prized possessions!
Stay incredible guys! See you in May!
this is the first time in a while, like definitely since the start of the pandemic, that new music has had me grinning from ear to ear. this rules, thanks for sharing it with us all.
I heard them play this song live at Ace of Spades in Sacramento, CA. Good times! 🎶
THIS SONG MUST BE LISTENED TO ON TIDAL!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 That punchy bass...... 😁😁😁
Can't wait to sing this at the top of my lungs with the crowd in May. Absolutely stellar single! 🤘
There is SO much energy in this track, way different from most of the midnight's fare and I am ALL for it.
Back in the 1980's there was a particular sound called macho music. It crossed multiple bands that would release a song or several songs that had that particular sound. This is so reminiscent of that sound and style.
Long live 80s
Loving the heavier hair metal sound on this one. It was epic live when I saw them in Buffalo. Can't wait for the next album and tour!!
This song would be right at home on the "Streets of Fire" soundtrack ❤❤❤
I absolutely love this.
i don't want a thumbs up for this song, i want a fucking love this heart button.
It physically hurts me how good The Midnight are. This is getting ridiculous!
Another absolute banger! This feels like my theme song for the whole winter I survived this year.
For the love of God I literally cannot stop playing this song on repeat. I've listened to you guys for years but this, this is it, this is the one. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
80's ROCK!!
Getting goosebumps from the sound of synthesizer and quitar...Amazing Amazing Amazing...44and I heard a lot of music but this is super awesome..
How will you survive?
Change your heart or die!!!!
I cannot wait for more of this 80s rock they have going with this! Super excited to hear more stuff! We had the Sax and now we get the epic guitar!
Just when I thought your music couldn't get any better. It might sound a bit ridiculous, but after having had some rough months this song's made me feel an energy and joy I hadn't felt for a while. Music is magic sometimes. 💜
Only slightly obsessed with this song, thanks to the Midnight once again. Love the vibes here 👏
U ever go to a concert and a band plays their older hits then tries to debut a new track? Midnight did this to me on last tour w this song. Blew my mind and changed my heart. I didnt die. Incredible jam. Xoxo
Oh my god... You have no idea how long I've been hoping for this. I've been a big Midnight fan for a long while, but I've always wanted to hear them truly turn it up and *rock*
Sounds like that's where this next album is going. Can't wait!
SML...Grinning EAR TO EAR. The Midnight keep exploding thru the glass ceiling over and over again. Better and better every time. Got the goose pimples and well....this is just the jolt of energy I needed.
OMG THIS SOOOO GOOOOOOOOD GO GO GO THE MIDNIGHT!!!!!!
Holy hell how good are the midnight?? How have I slept on synthwave for so long easily my favourite music genre now and I am an old skool raver. If trance and 80s metal had a lovechild
This is my favorite song period. I say that when you come out with a new song, but this is BADASS! Great feel and taking me back to the 80's
