I feel in my soul through and through this is the world I belonged to in a previous life and feel unimaginable comfort watching these videos or anything that can transport to that era. I'm probably a bit earlier, more 1970s, but this is where I feel at home. I walk the streets in the Village longing to meet with some comparable experiences one might have stumbled onto so many years ago but those days are sadly a fading vista on a distant horizon.

It's a window into moments in time that would otherwise be lost, if not for Nelsons filming. I think it's quite humbling to watch these events as I don't think the subjects could have imagined we'd be watching them in 2018. A moment of their lives captured and preserved, outliving them and representing the time in which it was filmed. It's like snatching back a moment of life from oblivion.

Adore O' Hara was my neighbor on N. Curson Avenue in Hollywood in 1977-78. Adore O' Hara was his legal name, but his birth name was Goldgerg or Goldblum or something like that. What you see in these film clips is exactly who Adore was 24/7, and that took some guts in 1977. A diva whose studio apartment was full of vintage treasures, my shopping buddy on Melrose Avenue. I believe she is in the great cabaret in the firmament of heaven now.
