I think we’re all witnessing a great thing. I never listen to this genre but I can’t turn his music off. The raw talent and emotion. This guy is transcending race, political ideology, gender. He is speaking to and uniting people all over the world with his music and I think it will have a lasting impact. He makes people feel heard.

This was about the mental heath problems he was suffering with less than 2 months ago and was drinking it away in Farmville VA. Home is Heaven. He wanted to leave. Till Music and god saved him. 👉👉Gen X U.S. Navy vet here. Just happy to see he's finally in a happy place, having fun, living it up and enjoying his life with his fans. He's that unstoppable train in the night heading to the sun and we're all invited along for the ride.
I don't know if it's just incredibly good marketing or actually the truth but when he said that he got on his knees and prayed and just gave it over to God - then 2 weeks later he's the number one artist in the world,

I think this was a past state of mind and his past reality. He is releasing it all now...As he said he would, by using his music as an outlet for his feelings and a way to heal and possibly help others to heal.. i think, after seeing him on several interviews and talking about what he wants going forward, he is in a healthier place now. He also trusts to share it. I think because he knows people are listening. They hear him and they know hes being real.

Apart from his incredible voice and delivery, his storytelling is epic, part of what I love is that like Peter Paul and Mary said in " I Dig Rock n Roll music " he lays it between the lines, every one can expand and give a pretty close interpretation of what is the meaning...Me personally I think that he was suicidal or possibly wishing for Armageddon in the first segment however by the second segment it's more that he wants to go back to simpler times but doesn't know how to get the new world back on track. He just knows that he doesn't like or understand the world that he wakes up to day after day. That said that's only my guess... He was definitely in a bad place
Its the feeling of being done with this world and ready for the next, if your a religious person. Being a christian, punching your own ticket is deeply frowned upon so he is asking to be taken.
What i love about his lyrics, although simple there are multiple possible meanings that all point to similar feelings. Like the concert. Did the grandson sell due to not being able to afford the taxes and upkeep? Or did he sell out for an easier life instead of putting in the hard work to run it.
Or there is always a bill due. Fiancially is the easy one. But emotional or social tolls are also a thing.

I am not an expert but I think the way to describe that sound you are hearing is yodeling with a vocal fry.
It' sounds like Appalachian-style, deep-woods country, so yodeling would not be out of the question.
