Excellent video, was able to add transparent chat overlay pretty easily thanks to this -- if you want to have transparent chat overlay on gameplay, one option (if you have multiple displays) is to project your stream preview to one of the displays and play based on that

Yeah I'm interested too, I'm already using Voicemeter Banana even for my private stuff but I still could not integrate Voicemeter in Discord (so that my friends hear a smoother version of me)
I would lik to split the sound of the game from my microphone and discord, so I could have 3 different channels on OBS and improve the sound quality of my microphone and discord as well

hm... I'm looking on how to do this on OBS Studio, not Streamlabs version. You should properly tag/identify on the description that you're using Streamlabs OBS, and not OBS Studio.

A lot of good info here.. except that the overlay is ONLY in the OBS not in the game. Twitch users can already see what they are saying and such, its our end that needs to be able to see this in game. How would we go about getting this overlay IN-GAME? Because, THAT is what I am looking around for.

I also learned things and said there was good info. Before you try and keyboard warrior your way through CZcams make sure to validate what is going on.
Am I missing something ? I did everything instructed however when im IN OVERWATCH it doesn't show my twitch chat, however when im looking at my stream on twitch I can see it, but it doesn't show IN THE GAME itself
@Alex: To read the Twitch chat you'll (ideally) need a second screen with the chat through either a second monitor, laptop or tablet/phone. I personally use my smartphone on a stand under my monitor using the Twitch app to go to my channel's chat to be able to see it.

I love how the vb audio cable makes my mic sound but when I'm streaming it starts out sounding perfect then goes to sounding like my mics going in and out.

Add a source: audio output capture and add your headset.
I know that. What I do not know is to split Discord Audio from Desktop Audio...

He's using OBS Studio. He's only using the Streamlabs website to get the Chatbox widget. You can insert the widget into OBS Studio.
But how can I see chat in game? I only have 1 screen. How can I see my chat without having to keep looking down at my phone?
Go to the Twitch app and go to your chat then popout chat. However, I would suggest investing in another monitor if you plan on streaming a lot.

You need a second monitor for this because there isn't an option for it to show in your game.

The thing in Streamlabs are changed, now the chat won't show up unless you're streaming.
