  • In today’s video, I want to show you how to answer 14 of the toughest F-1 visa interview questions. These are based on the experiences of the many students I have mentored as well as other people’s experiences. If you get any of these questions wrong, your visa will be automatically denied. Some of these questions are not asked often, but when they are asked, you must answer correctly.
    1. Suppose you got admission into 3 schools, but you chose one of them. The question is: why did you accept ABC University over XYZ University?
    2. Suppose you were denied in your previous visa interview. The question is: what has changed since your last visa interview.
    3. What are your plans if your student visa is not approved?
    4. What is your backup plan if you're not granted the F-1 visa even if you reapply?
    5. Suppose you are applying with a loan…The question is: what if you don't find a job in your field of study after graduation?
    6. Consider a scenario where you don’t have any funding from the school and no scholarships from anywhere. The question is: who’s sponsoring you?
    7. Suppose we are in 2024. You completed your bachelor’s degree in May 2020. The question is: Can you explain the gaps in your academic or employment history?
    8. Suppose that you just got married. Why are you leaving your wife behind?
    9. Suppose you have a graduate assistantship. The question is: How did you get the assistantship?
    10. How do you plan to handle the challenges of studying in the U.S.? How will you adjust to life in the U.S.?
    11. Are you going to utilize OPT/CPT? What if you get a job after your studies?
    12. If you are planning to stay for two or three years, how will you finance your education and your living expenses?
    13. Suppose you have a job at the time of the interview. The question is: why do you plan to leave your current job to study the US?
    14. Can you tell me why your GRE/TOEFL scores are so low?

    I was denied after I was asked how many schools I applied to,I know I didn't do a good job. I wanted to know,the form they gave me didn't give the reason for my denial. In case they asked what changed,do I have to respond that I couldn't demonstrate the financial readiness of my sponsor or on being nervous. Thanks ❤

    • @ShaiGuides
      @ShaiGuides  Před 2 měsíci

      You can say your dad is your sponsor, and mention his job and income. If asked about your aunt, you can say you used her bank statement because she is also willing to sponsor you and that you used hers because your dad wasn't around. Add that you don't think you would need her funds, but if you do, she's also willing to sponsor you.

    good afternoon, my visa interview is in a week and i have a brother in the us and i stated this in my ds160. he studied the same course im applying for but in a different university in a different state and is currently in an opt there. what do i say about this if asked and whats the best way to approach it while showing i still have planels to ccome back and change my country

    • @ShaiGuides
      @ShaiGuides  Před měsícem

      Focus more on your plans after your ties. Always try to talk about that if possible. If you answer your questions well and have some scholarship, I think it won’t matter that your brother is in the US. It all depends on you. Don’t change the facts about your brother.

      @ShaiGuides i don't have the best ties to my country, just my family here as I'm still a monor in nigeria and just graduated secondary school. I want to add as a tie that I'll be returning to build a corporation which is a plan I've had in mind for a long time. I want to add that I'd like to be one of the people that contributed to the growth of the industry here in my country as it's still a growing but in demand field and also that for my gap ywar participated in an online programming course to understand the basics and hope to further my education in a place where i could be consistent with my education and in a technologically advanced environment so i could properly understand what my country needs to grow from this course so i can build it

    The only thing I know they check how much money ur family earns and how u will pay the loan or survive in usa. And second thing they don't want u to stay in usa after graduation. Unfortunately it's very difficult to show this. Cuz most PPL go to usa are middle class or poor. And most ppl literally want to stay in usa so by earning dollars so they can uplift their family from poverty.
