    I took home the AWD LE in September. Taking advantage of the $1,750 in incentives, free roof rails, window tint, running boards, oil changes for life, and out the door for 24,900. Surprisingly I went for the XLE originally, but there's not much I'm missing for my needs. I used the extra money I saved on a set of Black Rhino wheels, and Toyo AT Country 3's.I'm not a big fan of the radar cruise control or the transmission, but all in all it's a good purchase for 25k.

      @@kevinkiss3340 I sold it in January back to the dealer for $4,200 more. It was honest the worst car I've purchased in years. The steering wheel had to be replaced. The passenger seat needed to be replaced. The passenger door needed to be re-hung, and the list goes on. Toyota has always bragged about quality and holding it's value. Well, the quality has clearly left the building. The value was in the shortage, inflation, and a greedy dealer.
      I built a Ranger Super Cab XLT with a 302A package, black package, towing package, FX4 package, and a few extras for $40,200. Tool it home 2 weeks ago. Great vehicle! The only compromise made was 10 MPG.

    XLE is for sure worth the extra money. The full keyless system alone is worth it, the convenience of not needing to mess around with your keys out of your pocket or purse EVERY SINGLE TIME in and out of your car is SOOOO nice. One of the better convenience features on newer cars....
    But then you get the Alloy wheels, the fog lights, the nicer interior, the power driver seat, the dual zone climate control, plus extra safety features that can save you on insurance... XLE Worth it for sure.

    Xle by far has got to be the baseline you have to start from with those useful features. Also, not 3500 more it’s at max 1500 more vs the LE. Due to the market experiencing inflation and chips shortage amid pandemic, we got these LE variants coming in at almost same price as the XLE it’s crazy. Local Toyota dealership marking up prices on both by 2500! They also didn’t have much cars since people are buying up cars earlier before things might potentially get worst 😟. I personally am eyeing the XLE and trading my car which still has good residual value.

Just bought a used 2020 in phenomenal condition, and it has those as well as everything else you showed here. I’m not sure if that’s a different add on package or what, but it works for me! I love it! The most modern car I’ve ever owned. I’ve owned 2 cars previously, both Toyotas, a 2001 echo and a 2009 Yaris both of Wich obviously had no real bells and whistles like they do now on these cars.

    The only real noticeable difference is the fog lights. So if you're wanting to save a few bucks and you're not worried about the extra stuff that the XLE has, then you're perfectly fine with the LE, cause you could always change rims and you can just stick USB ports in the 12 volt sockets.
    Both vehicles still come with cruise control radar, lane assist, automatic high beams, sport mode, Pre-Collision Sense, Road sign assist, brake hold, etc.
    So you're still getting a really good car either way.

I also learned much about the differences specs wise between European and USA versions, let alone the differences that exist between the various versions regarding the country of destination in Europe. I own a 2020 AWD ECVT Swedish specs version of the RAV4 that is, you guessed it, not available in The Netherlands. It resembles the XLE with some extra’s but lacking the power rear door and sun roof. I bought a Rav 4 X LE, Love it but am disappointed that Toyota wants to charge me 389 for mats...After, spending so much for a new car that's the least they could do.

    Why is the driver seat not power? Honestly it’s 2020; how can you have an electronic hand brake, but a manual seat

      If you don't mind me asking, how do you like the LE? My uncle is shopping between a Rav4 and a Honda CR-V LX

    • @rightlanehog3151
      @rightlanehog3151 Před 3 lety +5

      @@KevX1127 The RAV4 started out as an affordable utility vehicle. Today's LE sticks to that formula while including standard features unimaginable in earlier generations. Adding thousands of dollars in options to any RAV4 really makes no sense to me. In the past, I would have considered the CR-V as a near equivalent to a RAV4 but Honda is not as reliable as it once was. I threw in a quick comment on this video but I would be buying the LE Hybrid not the regular model. The Hybrid will save you a fortune in gas over its lifetime, require less routine maintenance and it comes with standard AWD for a very small price premium over the non-Hybrid. Of course Honda now makes a Hybrid CR-V but once again, Toyota is the proven master of reliable Hybrid production while other brands are desperately playing catch up.

      @KevX1127 Před 3 lety +3

      @@rightlanehog3151 I really appreciate all the information you provide here. We're gonna go with the Rav4, I tried talking to my uncle about going for the hybrid model but that's really outside their spending range.
      It helps from the tech side, the Rav4 base model exceeds the base model for the Honda CR-V LX. Nowadays dealers have lower inventory due to corona so seems like getting a hold of a unpopular LX is difficult anyways. Thank you again for your input on this!

    On the xle is there a push button on/off or switch for the stop and start engine because I don't like that feature. So I will choose the le and one thing can I put the alloy wheels on the le that they have in xle or premium models..

    • @geraldevans2535
      @geraldevans2535 Před 3 lety

      XLE has button to turn off the stop/start. You will need to turn it off each time you start the car. Not that big of a deal really. When stop /start is turned on, the engine only stops if you push hard enough on the brake pedal.

    I preordered a RAV4 Prime, I'm blown away by it. Unfortunately I won't see it before probably March/21. I don't understand why Toyota chose to put two exhaust tips on the Prime. First there is no reason for dual tips as it's an inline 4 but for real I'll drive mostly EV so I don't want the tips so visible. I may see about removing them and getting black turn-downs or something.
