Jokes aside, this is really informative and easy to digest- you dont dilly dally on filler words or over explaining. Thankyou for a great video.
You're welcome, I'm glad you found it helpful :)
✮ *IMPORTANT NOTE!* ✮
• To soften *Sculpey/Premo*, use vaseline, baby/mineral oil, or Sculpey Clay Softener.
• To soften *Fimo*, use water!
Once your clay has been softened, start mixing in Translucent Liquid Sculpey or Fimo Deko Gel to create the icing consistency. It doesn't matter whether you use TLS with Fimo clay or Deko Gel with Sculpey; you can mix various brands together. But Sculpey and Fimo are formulated differently and so you have to use different things to soften them before you add the liquid clay.
Thanks fo this comment!
misteryhorse No problem, I'm just glad it helped someone ( ´ ▽ `)ノ
flayuhat So, I can use fimo clay and liquid sulpey. Even if I bake them together????
I use rubbing alcohol sometimes, it works good as a softener but most importantly it cleans your clay as well.
flayuhat can you use lotion instead of liquid clay?? please answer meee

Looks like Nutella and really realistic too

Hello, can you use oil pastels to color white frosting and or chalk pastels, and how do you make colored glazes out of Dr ls and oil pastels,or chalk pastels? I cant seem to remwich one works better and won't burn
your work is very nice! I have one question, can i use a substitute for the translucent liquid clay? If so, what? thx
cool.😊
Please make a video on how you blend polymer clay legs, arms, etc. that would be very helpful!
Hi Ruth!! This tutorial is really great! I suck at making icing and this really helps! For the title of the video did you mean back to basics. Because for me it says basic to basics. Any how great tutorial :]
I would love it if you can put a shading tutorial !!!!Please make a video.
Ahh Ruth so helpful !! I hate mixing clay with liquid clay xD but now I know how the master does it , it will make it easier for me ;D Ruth I hope your okay and we all love you ^O^
Yes you do x
can you use anything other than liquid clay like something that you would find at home to make the icing typed consisity?
Oh my gosh...that's exactly what I do! :D
I have a way of doing air dry frosting, it looks so realistic. I use it on my clay donuts.
Very helpful !! Thank you ^^ p.s can I use fimo liquid clay instead of TLS ?
I love this style of frosting! Using it on my cupcakes now :) 😄😄
Can you do a video on how you shade your charms?
can you add more liquid sculpey to make it thinner? How much is too much?
If you want to make clay frosting but don't have liquid clay u can also use something else! I'll leave my recipe down below
•Glue (white or clear)
• Clay
•Water
1. Break the clay into tiny pieces and add into container
2. Then add your glue and water
3. Mix until u get the consistency that u want!
4. Add clay if it's too watery or add glue/water if too hard!
5. You can also add paint is you want it coloured but you can leave that out if you like
TA DA YOUR DONE! You can also use this for clay glue but leave out the colouring!
Hope this helped!!
That's one of the ones on the list :D
Instead of translucent can you use white liquid polymer clay? Thanks
This was so helpful! Thanks you so much!
If you haven't got liquid clay what else could you use please? Thanks
