SilvaTech by Latvijas valsts meži & Startup Wise Guys

The acceleration program “SilvaTech” (silva-tech.eu/lv/) organized by JSC “Latvijas valsts meži” (LVM) and the international accelerator “Startup Wise Guys” (SWG) has ended with the innovative solutions of ten teams in the forest sector. For nine months, teams from all over the world worked to create solutions to the challenges facing the forest industry.

JSC "Latvijas valsts meži" (LVM) has been implementing responsible and sustainable forestry for 22 years, balancing nature protection, recreation opportunities and economic interests. LVM invests in increasing forest land areas and developing forest infrastructure - restoration of drainage systems and construction of forest roads. LVM manages and administers 1.62 million hectares of land in the Republic of Latvia, including 1.59 million hectares of forest land, of which 1.39 million hectares are forest. Last year, LVM paid 90.5 million euros into the state budget.
