I can't afford Hot Toys figures and I don't know where I would place them... but I can appreciate what is done here. It will have taken almost 46 years for any company to nail the Mark Hamill face. Sure, it's based on the de-aging technology but wow! And yes, seeing him with Ahsoka as you posed them is incredible... The legacy of Anakin Skywalker as a Jedi Knight lives on.
This is probably the last figure to feature the interchangable lightsaber arm. The figure was announced before the USB light up feature.
Him and Ahsoka posed together look so good.
Gahh, can't wait for mine to arrive! This is peak Luke for me. A piece I believe I'll keep all my life. My one and only wish were for the lightsaber blade to be 1. USB powered, and 2. a more vibrant green. Otherwise, he's OUTSTANDING!

Good review, Thanks for putting the old ROTJ Luke hair piece on the new face sculpt. Hopefully, we get that new face/old hair in a ROTJ 40th anniversary reissue Jedi Luke later this year.

Ryan! Man, your posing skills are Jedi Master level! The pose with Luke, Mando, and Ahsoka is sick! I just paid off my Mando Luke and can't wait to get him.

What I think is a very cool thing with this set is the fact that you can actually buy a Dark Trooper take it apart and put the damaged part on top of it that is cool
Okay, now I'm thinking that at some point I need to see live-action Luke and Ahsoka fighting together....particularly after seeing this pose with your fantastic action figures! Nicely done!
Awesome review! I got the dx22 and I swapped out the hair part for an extra hair piece I got a while ago off eBay from the Jedi knight Luke and I think it enhances the figure amazingly. I do wish they had the dang eye knob thing that moves both eyes at once over the individual eyes, I thought that would be what distinguishes the dx line but I guess now it’s just the packaging? Still, one of my favorite if not my favorite figures in my collection!
I agree with the eye movement...it's easy to get crosseyed
@@toddalan9383 hello! The hair piece I got was from the first return of the Jedi luke, mms429. But the Endor version mms516 is also compatible! And last I heard the snow speeder version and the new bespin dx are all compatible with one another as well
I pre-ordered mine a couple months ago. Hope it arrives soon. So far, it looks pretty damn good based on this!
Really enjoy your figure reviews and you recommendations on figure collecting in general. Very awesome Luke indeed. I have the snowspeeder Luke and am astounded by that headsculpt especially in hand. It’s difficult for me to judge on camera, but where would you place the Mando Luke head sculpt with the Snow speeder head sculpt? Better, worse, or about the same?

I'm late to the party but I just got my Luke in and OMG am I having so much fun posing him. He really is an incredible figure! I got the regular version so no Dark Trooper but that's alright.
To me ultimate Luke would be a combination of both. Mando head sculpt and body with ROTJ Luke hair and outfit.
To my eyes, the Return of the Jedi Luke looks better, at least head on. I think the new one looks good, but a bit on the emaciated side. I don't need Luke to look beefy, but he does need to look like he's not on a crash diet. To each their own, but I'll stick with my Luke Jedi.

Oh man this figure looks awesome! Still waiting on my Ahsoka and this Deluxe Luke....i purchased both like 2 weeks after they were announced and still no figure..im so excited i want it now lol.
Am I the only one who absolutely hate the swoosh effects for the sabers? I mean, it makes the sabers seem as the movement is soooooooo little. When Jedi uses his saber the movement usually is big and the swoosh effect as well...

Such a great figure. I usually don’t go for human headsculpts, but I might make an exception for this one.
I think the USB feature for the SW hot toys figures start with the Obi-Wan series' figures if I'm not mistaken.

you could always use the good dark trooper half in like a 3d printed hanging mount that moff gidioen is inspecting (similar to the half iron man suit diorama set)

I missed the previous Luke with the swooping hair and Endor gear! Tried to get the Endor version but it’s out of my budget. Come on Hot Toys re-issue! Lol
It's not a fair comparison against the regular ROTJ Luke. The deluxe version of ROTJ has a slimmer body (much less fat suit) and better paint applications on the skin and hair. Also, the tayloring of the deluxe ROTJ is better than the regular one
Hi, just wondering of you've had any staining problems with the robes ? Just got into collecting and got Mandalorian luke. I want to display him with the robe but I fear it will stain my figure after reading comments about it happening with other robed figures...thanks
Sadly no this figure doesn't have the USB saber. The first figure that's going to release with it is that Kenobi show Darth Vader.

I’m really tempted by this but I had picked up the Luke Mando upgrade clothing from OT Customs a while back and I don’t think I can justify another Luke that’s basically RotJ. I may try to grab the head off of eBay eventually.

Mando Luke is amazing! They botched the ROTJ versions. Ugly sculpts.. bad tailoring in the outfit. I wish I had the hair pieces tho. Lol

Definitely not the ultimate Luke, and you can hear in your voice that you don't think so either, even though in this vid, you clearly *want* it to be!
It's a highly overrated figure that only had the hype because of the epic scene in the show and you only have to look at the amount of these Lukes being sold on eBay for okay prices to show peoples' disappointment in this lacklustre DX offering.
The Snowspeeder Luke and the unpadded RoTJ Deluxe are so much better than this figure.
In fact, personally, I'd choose the original RoTJ Luke over this one - and after seeing your obvious unsureness at 21:20, I'd hazard a guess you think so too! 😅
