4:23 hits harder than any other Periphery song even though it's far from their heaviest bit. It just contrasts so hard with the rest of the song that it's insanely powerful. She killed it
I remember asking you about this song before the Columbus Ohio concert earlier this month. My skin was crawling throughout the entire song, you hit every note perfectly, and the timing was so spot on. There were a few screams were I thought Spencer was legit screaming through you. Please keep doing more Periphery covers, you are amazing at them and I would love to see you either play with or collaborate with them on a song. Thank you so much for putting out amazing music!

This is the performance of a lifetime. The way you added so little so tastefully of your own style, your own feelings, like you knew this song better than Spencer himself. Like it was telling your own story. And then you just knocked it out of the park, even down to the realistic imperfections that he channels himself purposefully. Except this was your mark. Just masterful, the only version of the song I can listen to now...

Heard this one for the first time a week ago and I can’t stop… I can’t even count the amount of times I’ve listened to this straight through ON REPEAT. Omg… idk if you are aware how absolutely healing and moving your voice is. This cover in particular with the lyrics… Jesus Christ, my heart is regenerating. Thank you for this one. Music in general is so healing, but I’ve not heard anything in my 33 years of living that struck me as this one did. 😵❤ Your voice is a fucking gift!!

I was about 25 when I first heard Periphery and was really enjoyed them musically...fast forward 17 years and now I'm just an old fart dealing with anxiety and depression. This cover hits right where I am at the moment. Thanks Lauren. This and your live version of Father Said are on constant rotation lately.
