My Chocolate lab passed away 8 years ago. There isn’t a day go by that I don’t think of him.
He was truly the best pet, friend and guardian I’ve ever had.
My Sally left 13 years ago. All the familystill talk about her and her gentle nature regularly

this video made me cry ,multiple times im getting a 8 week old chocolate lab in less than a month and i once had one a few years ago it was the sweetiest dog in the world i felt like she had a human soul ive had plenty of dogd in the past 25 years but the chocolaten lab hit more than a human..................
This is like a commercial for Labs. Beautifully done and makes me want to cry. I lost my working line GSD planning to welcome a field black lab puppy into my family. This video just made me that much more excited though I miss my GSD terribly.

Three weeks ago I got my Chocolate Labrador girl. Her name is Gaia. I'm happy she has changed my life a lot, I'm excited to see her grow up and see how good a companion she is going to be.

When i got married we got a beautiful Chocolate lab pup we named Bailey. :) We just had to put her down at 12 years, and i still, 6 years later, think about her all the time. :) They are wonderful dogs, and i would recommend a Chocolate Lab to anyone looking to get a dog. :)
We have one, after having had a black lab mix. We loved him, but our new chocolate lab is already in our hearts as if she's been there for years, but she's just been with us for five weeks! Are chocolate labs really more mellow than black or yellow?
@@connyjensen1877 Yellow are much more excitable, ive had both, never had a black lab though. Seems chocolate are the most relaxed.
Wished I had done a video diary of my Choc Lab bitch ( Ayla ) the way you guys have done. How quickly they grow in first year!!!. Mine is now 8 years old and understands me, and I her better than most people I have met in my life. The most loyal and loving dog I have met, but still as crazy now as when she a pup. I’ve been thinking of getting a chocolate lab as well but I’m not sure if I’m fully ready or if it’s the right dog. I’ve dreamed of having a golden retriever but there are no breeders near me and it would cost way to much to get one sent to me. Idk

my chocolate lab was born 2 days ago! my 2 year old lab marge had puppys and were keeping one. They are the best dog we could ever ask for!

My chocolate lab is amazing he loves me so much and whenever I leave he lays by the door the whole time it’s so sad but that really shows how loyal they are
Ours does that when I leave. I guess she imprinted on me :) I love having her near, except when I have to go back and forth in the house. She often follows me around, unless she is very tired.

chocolate labrador's are the dilute form of black, so basically the chocolate gene turns the black coat into a lighter color which is the brown. dilute coat colors also lighten the dogs eyes, so chocolate labradors generally have brighter eyes such as hazel or green/greenish-yellow eyes.
@@W_T_D so basically yellow is a completely separate color from the black and chocolate genes. there is no dilute version for the yellow color, however yellow labradors can come in many shades from a deep yellow to even red shade (called fox red) to even very pale cream colors or even almost white. because the yellow color is not a dilute gene, yellow labs should have dark noses and brown/dark eyes.
there are "dudley" yellow labradors which the yellow labrador will have a pink or tan nose and more paler eyes, however generally it's not encouraged to breed them and usually come from bad breeders like backyard breeders who try to sell them for a higher price to try and scam and lie to people that they are a "rare" color. dudley labradors can sometimes still pop up in litters bred by responsible breeders however the color is generally not encouraged due to breed standard

this is so beautiful, i have a 7 months choco lab too, i hope we both be ready to do all fun things together. is there any training guide you could recommend for basic on-leash training? this is where i'm struggling with him right now
