@Dsleaz Jason Statham wasn't the main draw for that movie, it was the reuniting of Sly Stallone and other 80s action stars, IMHO.

I love how the old guy always comes to see an art house film and always gets irritated when movies, like an action flick, is anything more than MINDLESS fun. That would be like me going into McDonald's and being disappointed that it doesn't taste on par with a meal prepared by Wolfgang Puck. He knew what he was getting himself into.
I love grace. She actually seems genuinely interested in movies. Most entertainment reporters just seem to put the information out there but Grace gets you excited about it. Thanks Grace! :D

@indymogul you are totally right. the 80s came back in a big way in that picture. i was shocked as hell to learn that Dolph Lundgren was still alive,
The guy with his blue hat is right. You go to an action movie for explosions, guns, chases, and well.. Action. You don't really want to think for a while, you just want to blown away. This is even more true for a stratham movie.
I might be wrong but I think the reason Statham keeps getting jobs despite low numbers is those numbers are just from the box office and not counting DVD/Blue-ray numbers and I think a lot of people buy his movies and watch them at home and not at the theater, which I think is true for most movies they make more money on the DVD market.
I liked the movie a lot... You have to watch it for what it is, AN ACTION MOVIE!
Old guy tried to see deep character in an action movie, its like trying to find the horror in Toy Story.
Does anyboby know the name of the writer? I want to search him on IMDB.

he starred in The Italian Job and that got over 50 million dollars, ppl will say that he wasnt the main character, but Grace never said that Statham had to be a protagonist....
The Mechanic is a good movie. But that garbage disposal scene was a very tense scene.
Statham's house in this movie is my Mom's boyfriend's house. Don't believe me? The property is called "Three Rivers Sanctuary" :D

i was really suprised that jason statham movies werent doing that good because ive enjoyed all of his films that ive seen alot. especially the 3 transporters
Guaranteed goosebumps every time I see this scene... So good movie on filmsi.co.cc. So much is conveyed in those 3 minutes. You can say so much by saying so little. That's the magic of film. Their love felt so real.

Lol I don't even watch many of these movies but I just love Grace's reviews.
The original I liked because Bronson's acting on the role was so intense and he had that air of superiority without being so full on like Statham. I like Jason but I don't think this film is one of the films he should be in unless he is interested in broadening his acting into more than just high energy acting.
It's called the Mechanic for a reason but the way the film came across to me is that it should have been called "The One Man Army"
Jason' Statham's films probably don't gross over 50 million dollars, but you have to look at the profit margin. Most of the movies he makes are small budget by action standards.

My Dad took me to see the first one so, I was kind of looking forward to seeing this. Looks like I'll be waiting for It to make It to the Dollar theater, he wouldn't have cared he was cheap too.
I watch so many of these but i havent seen the majority of these movies!!!

you know the place that he lived at that exploded? i lived there i got to see them put together the movie. this one time, it was raining like crazy so they let us under a tent and we drank hot coa coa. it was really fun.

An overall good movie, but fails to exceed beyond typical action affair, ultimately Statham needs to learn some new tricks...3 out of 5 stars.

@ScrabbleDiva what?! He did not hate the film, he just said it did not have the quality up to what makes a good one. Like a good story, good characters, theme, tone, phasing, meaning, the experiences/adventure though the main characters eyes and more.

Cliche characters, standard story, cookie cutter action movie with more blood then the average gore movie and some of the most visceral violence I've seen in a while.

I LOVE Jason Statham movies! Everybody knows these days that the box office is not the criterium anymore to speak of a hit movie or a flop, only the DVD's, tv-rights ...etc is what matters and believe ALL the Jason Statham movies are big money in distribution rights! So yes he is an action star and will make many many many more movies! That is as it should be! LoL

I personally like The Graverobber, where he robs graves and kills people and stuff, because they entered his stuff. Also, he's already dead so he's immortal and can fly through a bulletstorm.

Yall tripping this a 10/10 movie, how u expect lots of fighting during this film, when the whole purpose is to eliminate ur opponent and make it look like an accident
it doesn't matter how much a movie grosses for an actor to keep working. the bank job was amazing. he's not a terrible actor.

i say that this movie is an all out action movie from start to finish myself i didnt think hed stand up to crank 2 but he came through as useuell (sorry bad speller) i rate this a 8-10
8 out of 10. It's what the movie 'Hitman' should've been.
Sadly, writer guy was most accurate. The movie could have ended after the first ten minutes and would have been better for it. I've always been a Statham fan, but this movie was like the Transporter, Jr. but with hand-to-hand combat and comedic turns replaced by gore.

The original is a superb movie, a remake was always going to be a bad idea. Explosions and stunts do not make for an interesting movie, the stuff in between does.

@volcomskater2390 i am australian myself so i think i know my own accent when i hear it! i dont see how people can get the 2 accents confused with each other, and what does it matter if he mentions england or whatever. god it anoys me so much when people on youtube say that the persons english when he/she is actually australian!
