I tried to present the gospel to my sister not too long ago...she was incredibly hostile. She talked about how Buddhism and yoga is the way to go.. I responded by telling her that the devil doesn’t always show up with horns and a pitchfork (meaning that he disguises himself as an angel of light)
She lost it after I said that. I got quiet (we were in the car) and just chuckled to myself when she got that mad. Not out of a place of mockery, but out of a place of seeing the blatant deception the devil has lured her into. It was just so plain. My heart breaks for her every day. After that she was hostile towards me the rest of the time I was visiting her. We tried to have conversations but I just can’t help talking about Christ, and brought Him up in nearly each of our conversations. By the end of my stay she went off on me saying that I was the one attacking her, resulting in me crying on the way home. I guess what I’m saying is please pray for her, because again my heart breaks for her. I don’t care if she hates me for it but I won’t stop professing Christ just because she’s by me. I don’t want her to feel like I’m trying to force my views in her face, because that’s not the way presenting Christ should always be done (or ever for that matter) but I also don’t want to just stop talking about Christ to her altogether. There’s a large age difference between us (I’m 16, she’s 27) but I still want to present the gospel to her. Please pray that the Lord will put me in a circumstance to be able to do that again but more effectively

You should have approached her in a rational, persuasive manner instead of accusing her of believing in Satan, and if your convincing fails to work, you should either choose a different approach or leave her alone. At least even by your standards you could choose to make her earthly life better by bonding with her and accepting her instead of trying to convert her in the name of love. Perhaps that will convince her to be more open to your worldview. Why choose instead to make her current life a torment?

Alan Baraka You obviously don’t know what the One true God can do or how He works His creation is evidence of His existence and that is enough evidence but for people who cannot except and reject this truth the Word of God says “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.”
‭‭This explains a lot , assuming you don’t believe in God because you told me if you prayed to allah which is a false and pagan god I assume you then believe in evolution which is a lie , as the scripture says people changed the glory of God unto an image made like to corruptible man (self made idols)(apes) evolution. Why don’t you ask me why i put my Hope in Jesus and not in allah or Buddha or the other fake gods made by religion or in evolution . Believing in Jesus in not a religion it’s a relationship.

I heard this advice years ago and not only is it helpful but it really works. Put the burden of proof on the other person. 9 times out of 10, they’re just repeating things they’ve heard and never questioned where it came from or if it was true. Challenge their beliefs and where they come from. They’ll get frustrated by having to prove them. Going back and forth with claims becomes and argument quickly but acting like a curious listener forces them to think about what they believe and why and sometimes, that’s what breaks the door down for a real conversation.

@@somethinglikeanonymous1773 God claimed for Himself a long time ago that He is God and there is no other and that He created all things. It was man who came along later and said different. The burden of proof is on man. Even from an unbelieving perspective, I find it a lot easier to believe God than sciences current theory that nothing created everything for no reason. Some would call that magic like a Las Vegas stage act of pulling a rabbit out of a hat. Nothing cannot create something and certainly cannot create everything. That even defies the laws of science and yet they throw it out there because they have nothing else to explain our existence. The Big Bang and the transformation of a monkey into a man was never seen, heard, touched or smelled as you say and yet many accept it. They don't require the same proof of evolution that they do of God. God answers all of our greatest questions. Evolution only creates more and makes life meaningless.

@@somethinglikeanonymous1773 All existence including you is evidence of God and you know it in your heart but you're rebelling against it. The fact is that you don't want there to be a God. You want to be God of your life instead but that's not working out for you. Your very conscience inside you that tells you of good and evil and wrestles with morality testifies of God since those things are from Him and have nothing to do with an accidental biological evolution. The evidence is everywhere, you just don't want to see it.
If your theory of religion being regional were true then I can't be a Christian. That began in Israel thousands of years ago with Jesus Christ. Not only that but what religion can't you find in America? They're all here and Christianity is everywhere else so that has nothing to do with anything. I also wasn't raised Christian. I didn't become one until I was 25 when I found myself an angry, drug addicted, selfish person with no purpose at all in life. I was doing what the world told me to do and it never got me anywhere. There was no peace, no hope and no reason to go on. When I heard about the good news that I could be forgiven of my sins through faith Jesus Christ and I called on Him to forgive me and save me, He revealed Himself to me and changed me forever. That's when I became a Christian and a new man.
God does reveal Himself to man in many ways but mostly personal though His Son. No one can tell me He didn't or that I didn't experience what I experienced. Not you or anyone else. I've had a relationship with God for 18 years now and I've never looked back at my old life for any other reason but to be thankful that He rescued me from it. Churches are also full of people like me who were delivered out of the world's ways that offer nothing that really matters. What God offers, lasts forever and no one can take it away. So you go on and tell yourself that I'm wasting my time but I know it's you who's wasting yours. I've lived life on that side and I know how empty it is. Nothing lasts and nothing truly satisfies. You were created to know your Creator and you'll never know true peace and joy until you do. And I pray that you realize that someday.

Perhaps a physicist or astronomer can answer the question for you. Meanwhile, as someone in a biology-related major, for the evolutionary divergence of humans from chimpanzees is evidenced by structural homologies, genetic similarities, and hominid fossils demonstrating transition among other things. I liked what J. Warner Wallace said. Don't state your position, let them defend theirs. This reminds me of Tactics, by Greg Koukl. Let's see if I can get this right. When you want to win an argument, there are some points you want on the table, but if you put them on the table, the person you're talking to is just going to take them off. Instead, ask questions designed to get the other person to put your points on the table. Now they're going to be more difficult to take off. So, in this situation, don't be agressive and attack their beliefs, because they're just going to get hostile and defend something they may already know is false. So ask questions, "What do you mean by that?" and listen intently to their answer. Using their answer ask other questions so they will have to defend their belief or prove yours, without realizing that's what they are doing. In the meantime they are putting all the major points you want on the table for you, and because you're asking questions they're not threatened and open up. They are no longer hostile (in most cases). Is it easy? No. Biting your tongue usually isn't, but if you look at what they are doing for you and how you are actually enjoying a good conversation with them, that's got to count for something.

Toooooooo many express the Love (as they understand it) and will not engage into the battle which really is the difficult part. Walking around sprinkling warm fuzzy Jesus speak on everyone is easy.... calling out sin is NOT and that's where many battles start... expressing the need for a Savior because their are living in sin.

There is no surprising here to those who have actually read the Jude-Chrisitan Bible that warns of this very issue and to expect it once one has accepted the truth and seek to share it with others, especially those who reject it in favor of the lies that they prefer. (Luke 21:10-13; John 12:40-50 & 15:18-19; 1 John 4:20; Titus 1:16; Romans 12:14; Proverbs 12:1,13:3, 15:7, & 29:11)
Yes, it is always best to pray before, during, and after such encounters--NOT just for assistance, for those who wish to remain in darkness and refuse to come into the light. (John 3:20-21)
A Judeo-Christian must master the art of fighting without fighting. (Matthew 10:16)

I don't think we are lazy at all. The devil is a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Many Christians bend over backwards to help their families and loved ones showing Christian love and caring for them as Christ does, to only be attacked, maimed, accused and blamed for things and taken advantage of. Most Christians I know are very hard working, sharing, caring and will go the extra mile and the enemy knows this about followers of Jesus Christ and stand waiting to accuse them of not being forgiving. We are living in the last days where the dividing sword is separating the wheat and the tares. Micah 7:6, Matthew 10:21, Luke 12:53, for me I have had to surrender it all to Jesus because I do not want to be tempted into sin by things they do to provoke and tempt me with. I just waved the white flag of Jesus Christ as my banner over me and surrendered it all to him for his glory, not mine. I have been shunned, wrongly accused, taken advantage of and slandered and much more. And I come from a "Nice" family, on the outward appearances, it seems. My brother-in law is a pastor of a four square church and my sister teaches the children's classes. My mother had been a church school teacher and my other sister is a full time preschool daycare provider who is well respected and well liked in the community. When it comes to family though, there are things under the surface that others don't know or see that become festering wounds and cannot heal without prayer, repentance and forgiveness. Jealousy, rivalry, popularity, pride, inheritance, power, control, prestige are just a few things that become "idol's" and there is where the problem is. "Idolatry", "False gods", "False image", "False worship". This is a spiritual battle. Keep the whole armor of God on at all times.

THIS IS THE TRUE GOSPEL!! OBEY Christ and His commands they are not taught in traditional churches nowadays. First, The Laws Christ commanded are the perfect Law of Love. They are these 3 that fulfill all the law.
1: Love the One True Eternal One with all your strength, all your heart , and all you have.
2: Do Not do unto others/creatures as you would not want them to do unto you.
3: Do unto others/creatures as you would have them do unto you.
The teachings of Christ in Lections XLVI verse 12 We are taught that if a person desires to be a disciple of Christ we must Not eat any flesh from any animal or bird. In the beginning in Genesis 1:29-30 YAHUAH stated very clearly that He gave the herbs, fruits, and seeds for meat to sustain mankind and to sustain the animals. We were never ordained to eat any type of flesh meat that had blood in it. This may be a hard saying but we dine with demons that have influenced men to slaughter innocent animals and birds for our pleasure. This is a great sin and if you are a true follower of Christ we must obey it! The command "Thou shalt not kill" meant not to kill anything, for pleasure in food, or for profit, nor torment any living creature which has the breath of life in it given by YAHUAH. This is in Lections XLVI and Exodus 20:13. I am open to spend more time teaching on these subjects and laws given through Christ but one must have an open heart and an ear to hear. Moses gave laws on certain animals to eat out of the hardness of their hearts in the wilderness even though Yah commanded them not to and they ate and fell by the thousands from the plagues that consumed them from eating flesh meat. Roman Emperor Constantine in the 4th century changed the food laws in scripture that it was ok to eat meat. It was never ok. Praise the Father YAHUAH

@Robert Dunn Brother read Genesis again. You are wrong, study the gospel of Nazarens and Holy 12. Christ specifically reinstates the Fact that ALL creatures are not for eating that have life which is blood in them. I will not listen to a man that has provided no proof it is in several places/texts and the original hebrew word for "Thou shalt not kill" is "Lo Tirtzack" which accurately translates to ANY kind of killing period. You are living a lie and must repent and stop eating slaughtered animals for pleasure and food. Period! Praise YAHUAH and it is pronounced correctly I wont get into a debate about that ive done plenty of study on all the original teaching. You should worry about getting eating habits back in order since you should know by now brother. Amen

      Spiritual Fullness in Christ
6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him,7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces[a] of this worldrather than on Christ.
9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. 11 In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh[b] was put off when you were circumcised by[c] Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.
13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you[d]alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.[e]
      Freedom From Human Rules
16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. 18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind. 19 They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.
20 Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules: 21 “Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”? 22 These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perishwith use, are based on merely human commands and teachings. 23 Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.

@Robert Dunn Robert if you read all of the bible in its entirety you would know that it has been corrupted sir! Paul himself is a false apostle and directly contradicts Christs teachings so the simple fact that you believe the bible without a doubt has no errors tells me you have not studied it well enough you have only read through it burning the pages that rest on your eyes! Christ and James both said we need good works proving our faith and we must OBEY the commands given to earn Salvation! Paul teaches in opposition to that fact and has misled millions upon millions just like Christ warned us about! Say what you want but the teachings are available to those who search with all their heart and want truth! You just want a free pass and do as you please like most "christians" today. Its a sad case of egotism and ignorance and it wont save you or forgive you! Help me help you Robert, open your eyes. Amen

@Robert Dunn You said a lot Robert. You and i have a lot in common, but I do not want to over load your donkey. I will pray about this situation and leave it in Yah's hands but everything I said still sticks because it is the Truth. Satan comes in many shapes and forms and to deceive, so please don't use vain words against me, it only hurts you. Just remember this, "Many will come to me in that day and say, Lord, we performed many miracles in your name, and i will tell them to depart from me because i never knew them". So your telling me that with your own hands you would kill an innocent animal and then eat it with no shame or remourse? Christ came to end ALL sacrifices and to set free every creature Yah has created, so yes everything i have said is true. And if you wouldn't do it with your own hands you are still responsible for the taking of innocent life because you ate it for pleasure. No difference Robert, have a good day sir! Amen
