In this episode you get the chance to value a pair of antique Chinese plates, a vintage Rolex Explorer watch and a 200 year old dining table...I’ll also give you some multiple choices to help you decide on the items real value.

I absolutely loved this quiz! The only one I got right was the plates haha 😂! I just went for it despite being dubious about the markings on the back. The others I was hopeless at, but I know Philip Serrel would be disappointed about the table as he does like his old wooden items! Great video David, see you next week xxx

Interesting as always David. I'll bet those plates went back to China. Lots of rich business men over there now all competing to buy back their history from the west. People are crazy. They would rather pay a fortune for cheaply made new furniture thats going to fall apart in 5 years than buy a piece of hand crafted real wood furniture that will last another 150 years. 20 pounds for that table is ridiculous. I wish I lived over there David I would furnish my entire house with that "brown furniture" all day long. Stay well.

Got the watch dead bang before the prices came up. Can't say I'm surprised about the table. I was thinking maybe 100 on a good day, before the options came up, and it wasn't a good day. Brown furniture is coming back a bit in North America, but it's relative.

Yea on the Rolex! Okay, let’s go for the table. People aren’t into brown furniture anymore sadly, but, it is versatile especially for more compact spaces, so, I think the price is 200 pounds 😬

The plates did not surprise me but I chose the middle figure . The next two I was correct and saddened by the table . If i had a barn I would be filling it up with pieces like that .i just hope they dont get broken up or upcycled !!

20 pounds for the regency table, wow. We have an entire regency dining room suite, many pieces-belonging to my partner’s family…he will be disappointed to know it’s current value. It is lovely though.
Sadly I got the Regency correct 😔. How repulsive to realize firewood is more expensive than these awesome pieces. Smh.
Why environmentalists haven’t picked up on this and are not advocating us buying antique furniture, I don’t know?

I only got the "brown" table right. I don't understand the Chinese plates as they are not really matching and was just off on the Rolex by overestimating it. Time to buy some "brown" furniture.
