  • In today's video we show you our way down from Coma de Eyne to the Vall de Nuria Valley and then on the second day the hike from Vall de Nuria to Ribes de Freser village in Spain. It is a beautiful scenic trail that is suitable for anybody. If you love being around scenic landscapes, meeting wildlife and enjoying the serene atmosphere - this is the hike for you!
    While we were getting down to the Vall de Nuria Valley following along the GR trail we could truly enjoy the breathtaking landscapes around us. From all the sides we were surrounded by the beautiful green mountain summits and we had the feeling of walking along the edge of it, that lovely sense of freedom that you get in the mountains. It was an epic downhill indeed. On the way we met one of the most cutest creatures - some curious marmots playing and running around. It was our first time at Nuria in summer, we've been here before in winter, and we were amazed by how drastically can change landscapes from season to season. We arrived at Nuria and found that there is an official camping site with plenty of people in there. We were a bit dissapointed by this fact but we had no other option than to find a nice place there. Later in the evening we were shocked to see a disco going on right at the corner of our camping spot. We weren't sure whether it was a seasonal thing or it was because of weekend but it looked very strange and inappropriate to us making from such a beautiful peaceful place a disco party. The next day we woke up to the idyllic quiet morning. Still in the dusk before the sunrise we saw some isards pasturing at the hillside opposite to us. So we had our breakfast at one of the picnic tables around the lake and we were good to start the trail...

    We are a couple who once fell in love with mountains and couldn't get back. So we decided to follow our heart and move from a big city to a small village to be able to do what we love and to create this content. Our goal is to promote the healthy lifestyle, to motivate people to travel more and care for nature around. We are passionate walkers who love hiking, trekking and camping. We offer the detailed information of our hikes and routes, including the map and all the directions, so that you can repeat it if you'd like to.
    We choose walking over driving and other types of transportation whenever we can because we learnt that this way we see so much more and can explore and feel the place better. Walking is an excellent activity that has so many benefits to your health and requires no special equipment or practice, so we encourage you to get the most out of it and get out walking.
    We speak English, Spanish, French and Russian, so don't hesitate to address to us in your native language.

    Hi folks. I loved this video. Thank you for posting it. I was looking for a video on the hike from Nuria to Ribes de Freser so I could see how the terrain looked like and this just made it for me. Plus, your practical tips on the poles, the noise of the camping site, the downhill taking a toll on knees makes it more interesting and useful. Its so nice to come across a video like this one, on a low key, without the clichéd self-exhilaration, self-important tone and self-pompousness of the 99% of videos in CZcams. There's a global epidemics of rowdy narcissism on social media and your video is so totally the opposite . I loved your quiet, minimalist, soft-pitched tone when you describe the small things, with only a few words, just the basics, to the point and without a drop of show-offing banter. Even your individual accents in english make it so nice, so refreshing , so much not american, and also not spanish. So, i hope you will continue true to your style and make more videos. Ive subscribed to your channel and have shared with friends to show the difference between you guys and the self-inflated noisy contents that are ubiquitous these days in social media. Stay well, stay safe and keep it up. Love from Portugal 🇵🇹. ❤️

      Hi, Miguel! Thank you for leaving a feedback on our work! It is one of our favorite areas to hike in so we hope you enjoy it as well. It brings us joy to know that our credo and beliefs in natural and true to life approach finds support among the like minded people. From the very start we decided to make our channel very honest and open and behave as natural as possible(also because we are poor actors to be honest anyway:) We agree about the social media epidemics right now, and we want to contribute to a more true to life content and hope that more people will turn to that. Thanks again for such kind words, it definitely inspires us to keep going. Take care and have a nice hiking season! Cheers from Pyrenees!:)

    Vidéo de qualité qui peut présenter un intérêt pour des randonneurs qui souhaiteraient parcourir le même itinéraire. Illustration musicale qui colle bien avec le thème et déclenche une certaine rêverie....j'ai bien aimé.

    Thanks for the video :-) Was very insightful. We are gonna take the train from Ribes to Querallbs, than hike up to Nuria (and if we have time further towards the camping ground) and back by train. I have to keep my knees 'alive' with all the cycling in the mountains :-D

      Definitly agree. The best thing about this video (and probably the entire channel) is the simplicity and back to basics tone and contents. The landscapespeaks for itself in terms of beauty, and the quiet minimalist wording fits it perfectly.

      Just on a side note, after my previous comment, you folks should consider hiking in Portugal. We're not the Alps or the Dolomites or the Norwegian rain forests, but there's lots of beautiful nature in my country as well. And your intimate style will fit perfectly with the locals, as portuguese love people like you - simple, quiet, true to yourselves. Also, we're definitly not crowded with massive hordes of tourists in the countryside during summer, like anywhere in Spain, and people are not rowdy and arrogant and in-your-face like, they respect your privacy when you're hiking and in general. You should try the Peneda-Gerês National Park or the Montesinho Natural Park, both near the spanish border with Galicia. Vídeo link below.

    Hi, friends! How long did it take on the second day (from Vall de Nuria to ribes de freser?)

    • @WalkingNatureWorld
      @WalkingNatureWorld  Před 10 měsíci

      Hi, thanks for the question! We think it took us at least 4 hours to descend down, at first the trail is quite steep and you go slow. Also it was very hot that day and we carried lots of weight so it may take you a bit less time but better to count on more time always. Hope it helps.

      Hola, creo que lo mejor sería coherencia el tren desde Madrid a Barcelona y después hay otro tren regional R3 que va desde Barcelona a La Tor de Querol. Pero se puede bajar en Rives de Fresar y hacer la caminata hasta Vall de Nuria. Sería lo mismo pero nosotros lo hicimos en otra dirección. Esperamos que eso ayuda. Alegramos que el video te ha motivado hacer esta caminata, es maravilloso. Déjanos saber como te va y si tienes más preguntas🙋

      *coger el tren desde Madrid

      Train Madrid-Barcelona Sants, then train from Barcelona - Sants to Ribes de Freser with Renfe cercanias R3 to Vic. Drop off at Ribes de Freser and take the cremallera from Ribes de Freser to Nuria. And you're there.
