However, how she keeps divorcing herself from the actions of that day by throwing it all onto her ex boyfriend is showing that she isn't taking accountability. Regardless of what her role was in her mothers death she was still just as accountable as Nick for it. They both made choices to do what they did. They're both accountable. That's why the court of law put them both in prison. She only got a lenient sentence because of the abuse she went through with her mom.
