This band absolutely nailed the perfect balance in their sound by this record, we all know wage war's fanbase is mostly chugoholics so what they did on pressure was not definitely what fanbase wanted but i think they reached that "heavily melodic" point perfectly which is what i really like.

The best drum scores drive the song in a cohesive way that fits with the other instruments and the direction of the song. When drummers go hard to show off their chops it usually takes away from the intent and impact of the song. This is a perfect example of technically deliberate drumming designed to drive and fit the song perfectly. It's probably a major reason why this song goes so hard. Outstanding musicality.

interesting that it appears at though he is playing a good amount of double kick phrasings where he could just as easily play that same phrase on a single kick (i.e. controlled 8ths or 16th doubles with one foot vs. two)
