In 1981 I was in L A County Jail and met this brother.I was 18. I had never been in there before and it looked like I was on my way to prison. Frog schooled me and put me up on the ins and outs of prison life. Kept everything 💯. Told me when I get to the pen get you a shank and wrap magazines around your waist so you can't get stuck when the riot hit.😎😂 💯 Super Solid Brother.💪

The original colors of the Black P. Stones in Chicago were black and red because they wore red beret hats in Chicago and this is before the 70s. BPS started in the late 50s on Blackstone Avenue where the name came from. What happened when it branched to Cali is unknown, if the Stones in Cali wore blue then that means that the Cali Stones changed the original color which was supposed to be black and red instead of blue. But if the Cali Stones wore their original colors from Chicago then they'd have worn red before any Blood gangs wore red.
If Bloods didnt start in Cali until the mid 70s then BPS which is much older than the Bloods, would technically be the first black gang in America to wear red if you count the original Stones in Chicago. If T. Rodgers and them Stones in Cali switched to blue then that was just something that the Stones in Cali made up.
