It started as a cover of one of my favorite science CZcamsr's intro theme song...then the comments seemed REALLY insistent that I make a full version...so I did!
I tried to capture the song's crazy energy and I crammed it full with as many styles and references as I could.
This song also includes my lowest and highest recorded notes as a singer. Which is kind of ridiculous

OMG I just realized how the main theme of this song has the same chord progression as the JEOPARDY theme song (as shown in the video when they were stacked/mixed). Maybe thats why I'm still obsessed with those verses. That part of the video was perfectly put together 😅

I really like this take on the mind electric, where the original was very dark and hopeless, this one seems sort of humorous.
The Jeopardy melody reference from 0:29 to 0:41 was something I genuinely did not expect, but it somehow goes perfectly with the lyrics.
However, 1:04 has to be my favorite part of this version. It matches with the energy of the original song, basically having someone overpowering you and telling you “No, I am in control” with such a sense of authority.
The segment of you singing the phrase in French actually suits the song well. I absolutely love the inclusion of the church organ whenever Judge Marvin declares that he's in charge. His voice sounds firm and cold, I love it.

the visual during "here in my kingdom i am your lord i order you to cower and pray" is pretty much like the image I see in my head during that part except a nun instead of a judge (I imagine the line is said by the nuns electrocuting him) the lighting dramatic angle etc its pretty close to how i imagine that part

After listening to this I looked up "The Mind Electric metal cover" and this is the first thing that appeared. Shocked there aren't any more covers in that vein. I guess people saw this and realized "wait shit none of us can do it better". Also, the french was unexpected, but sure. As Palpatine said: "A suprise to be sure, but a welcome one".

You should invest in another's Tally Hall/Miracle Musical songs, like Ruler of Everything or Time Machine. That will be incredible
No wonder the bands called the MIRACLE musical
The different genres work surprisingly well as a replacement for the glitching in the original that served to really emphasize the feeling of the narrator loosing himself. Wasn't sure how to feel about it at first but yeah I dig it.
Also throwing up a pronunciation guide for shrieking absolutely got a laugh out of me, but for anyone unaware of this tidbit the mispronunciation in the original is very intended!!! rather than just the word "shrieking" we get the word "Shrike King," as in the shrike bird. Shrikes are also known as butcherbirds, as they store food by piercing it on any nearby sticks, and have been known to substitute for barbed wire as well!! The most gruesome little songbirds, I love them so.
Oh, that makes sense! I thought it had something to do with shrikes, but I didn't know what.

Ok I love this!! Like how have you NOT blown up yet man? The switches in genre kinda put me off but then i realized it actually contributes to the chaos and insanity of the song itself and somehow works lol. The effects in certain parts like the little in-between clips are also fitting. This was amazing so I newly subbed

The constant change of styles make it seem like simon was a great music fan and now the electroshock therapy made that all the song lyrics and melodies he knows melted and mixed between themselves
