With the aid of international experts and personalities on the satellite link, Clive James goes worldwide to test the trends, plunder the programmes, and take a critical look at what's on in the new and deregulated universe of ever-expanding media. Joining Clive this week in the studio is Renaissance man Jonathan Miller. - Zábava
Brilliant! This was way ahead of its time, I think. It's like a one man Have I Got News For You.
The two comedy writers who meet here, James and Miller died three days apart, exactly 30 years later.
Bro, these are great. I’m planning to only watch retro stuff this Christmas Day- I’m going to try and line up as many of your programmes and adverts as possible to form some sort of 8 hr playlist to get us all through it! 👍🏻
31 years ago. How is that possible? We miss you Clive.
He was brilliant! Nothing like this now. This and Phil Cool, good times.
He was a legend!
I miss Clive James.
What a great find, thanks for sharing! They showed a few Clive James In.... recently on BBC Four and that rekindled my spirit of why I used to love his shows, this format was a little different but it's got an air of pre-CZcams global randomness about it, the Happy Hour woman would have had her own live streaming channel these days, and the Japanese blackface thankfully blocked, great Jonathan Miller interview too, so natural.
Lord Rees Mogg! Tory government...am I in a timeloop?
DO you have the one where Crimewatch NZ is featured? Also the one where Gordon Elliot talks about pranking Donald Trump (also in 1989) There was also a great one in 1989 with Japanese candid camera
This was so funny before going to secondary school day before...
