Bro I'm the same. After a shower, I am absolutely useless. I've had to move showering to the morning because of recent schedule changes which has been a pain in the ass, but oh well.
My talents were presented to me early in life, through the things that I found interesting, school or extracurricular activities. I would say, I don't use all my talents as I've grown up. I still think it's good to try and hone in your talents, because I believe anything you learn can, even indirectly, be of use in various sectors of life.
In regards to what I have observed on this channel, it feels like you're a natural at teaching/presenting. Sometimes, when I watch your videos, it reminds me of someone who does motivational speeches. I know you just quit a teaching job, but it could just be that the audience that you were teaching to was unfulfilling or how you had to teach. You're really good at articulating your ideas and make it easy to listen to. Of course this is just from the snapshot I get from your videos. I'm sure there is a lot more that you will explore.

Every time I listen to Naoya, I'm just impressed by how thoughtful and organized he is with expressing his thoughts. And that is why I don't make CZcams videos because the way I express my thoughts are too chaotic. I diverge too much.

I think 1 talent of mine is finding things: maybe it's called instinct, or resourcefulness. I used when I started teaching about 20 years ago, it to make decks quickly that are quite entertaining. Have I used it to add value to the world? Maybe, but mostly no. Also I quit teaching last year, and this month I finally started using this deck-making skills to bring some value to the world.
    Thank u for asking!
So this makes me realise, Naoya, your talent is asking the questions that people want asked of them! Omg this is precious!

You obviously have the talent of communication with others. Some talents are more obvious than others. Art, music and athletics is easy. The more esoteric ones are more difficult to recognize.
A good friend of mine in Japan is now 65 years old and a retired nurse. He always wanted to play the saxophone. He started 4 years ago and found his musical talent.
    I appreciate you.

Totally agree that Naoya is very articulate - a great communicator. Naoya, have you thought about doing podcasts and interviewing different people? Perhaps you could even think about becoming a news broadcaster for an English speaking TV/Radio station.

I'm also an english teacher for kids, trying to change my job for something I feel more passionate about. Tomorrow I will start classes for my new degree. 😊

Just listening to you, i am finding more and more myself just like you. Stuck in this crazy world without a clue where do you belong and what you want to do.
If i got you right, you are a math teacher? I think it's also sort of talent, because you have a gift to understand mathematics and transfer your knowledge to the kids or teenagers. Not everyone can do that, you know, it takes a lot of patience to work with kids in the school. And talking in front of the camera is also a valuable thing, because you are doing it with such ease that many of us wouldn't be able to do it. It's been a pleasure to listen to you and see someone who has similar problem like i or somebody else here.

I guess my talent is in writing. I used to write a lot in my childhood, including poetry, short stories, and articles in my native language. Later on, I began to write in English too. I have published some of my poems as well😊
How I found this out is that I was always interested in reading a lot. I used to read hundreds of books per month😅 I was always fond of poems and started writing when I was 12 years old. I’m in my 20s now and still in love with poetry.
I guess you can find your talents in what you are really interested in, Naoya san. Think about what you are REALLY, REALLY GOOD at! That’s your talent.

It's not too late to know that u are not in a rush. Everyone in this world has their own journey and path to discover themselves. We all have our own talents that make us different from each other, and I think this is a gift from God.
I have many talents as 20y , tbh. Let's start from the first one that I have discovered:
    1. Art: I love drawing and painting. I've been doing it since I was a little girl, and I enjoy it whenever I have free time. I discovered my talent for drawing in a school art class. It's my fav, but recently I've been feeling a bit tired, so I'm taking a break.
    2. Designing: I especially luv using Canva to create my stickers and posters and make vision boards that motivate me to follow my goals. I even have a small business creating sticker sheets. I discovered this talent bc I was bored, and it just happened lol.
    3. Learning new things: I enjoy studying and learning about new topics by myself. I know it sounds crazy, but I love writing down any interesting info I come across. Recently, I've started carrying a small notebook to write down any new and interesting info and then memorize it in case someone asks. I feel like I sound educated, haha :)
    4. Learning languages: I luv learning languages and being able to understand people from around the world. I discovered this hobby during the COVID-19 pandemic when I decided to start learning English from scratch. I realized how beautiful it is to learn other languages and how it helps us communicate and live together. I luv this.
    5. Public speaking: I enjoy public speaking and dream of giving a TED Talk one day. I discovered this talent in high school when I gave a confident presentation. In college, I received positive feedback on my presentation skills, so I joined the English club. I'm proud to have this ability.
    6. Graphic design: I discovered this talent last semester.
    7. Taking care of cats: I just luv these creatures, and I think it's a talent to be able to be kind to any pet or animal.
    8. Listening and comforting others: I discovered this through my life experiences.
    9. Working with others toward the same goal: I discovered this while I was a student.
    10. Self-improvement: I often read about this because I tend to feel bored quite often, and I think I still need to read more on this topic.
    11. Exercise: I luv working out because I love myself.
    12. Podcasting: I discovered this in college last year when my friends and I worked on a podcast together. I realized I had a talent for it. Unfortunately, the podcast is no longer available, but I hope to try podcasting again someday.
All my hobbies just came about bc I was bored and started trying anything until they just happened. Maybe there are more talents I need to discover. I feel like this is my journal because I write a lot lol 😭 .

I appreciate you sharing your talents. I don't know how to put it, but it just hit different. First of all, it's hard to believe English is not your first language. It shows a lot of effort and commitment that you have put in, which is inspiring.
I'm also grateful that you brought up the 9th one and the 10th one. I recently realized that I truly love working with others toward the same goal. I like comradery. I hope I can create a group where people who have the same goal can work together and help each other.

It's very hot where I live too, southern state in USA. We have heat advisory almost daily.
I haven't really tried to identify my talent(s) but I will say that I meet people easily and same with animals too.
I have been in the health care field and did well and I also care for animals and have taken in dogs that were discarded by others.
Not sure it's a talent or is just my love language 🤗

I guess the talent i currently use is being good with numbers and logic, but understand this: i was not this good with numbers and logic when i first started. You don’t have to be a prodigy to be talented at something. It is probably more important to work at it and be passionate about it. I know that you’re intelligent (studied abroad, learned English, probably other stuff we’ll get to know later on) and that you’ll fight for what you’re passionate about (you’re story about finding a restaurant job to remain in Canada helps me make this conclusion). These are the building blocks to not find, but build talent and skill.
Life is not a race. If it is, i’d want to come in last place, the finish line isn’t exactly rewarding! It is human nature to compare ourselves and it’s necessary to do from time to time. Do not think because you are 25 and that there’s a 18 year old with a self made net worth of 100 million that you have lost.
You mention you want a 2 way street for this community but then mention you want to find and work on talents. There is a way to set up a 2 way community and have people support you. The important part is that you do it, even if you have no idea what you’re doing. To master whatever it is you want this to be, you must try! I am going to suggest something myself and others have in the past: set up a Discord for community, set up a Ko-Fi for ¥ support (from what I understand Patreon is not operating in Japan).

I never thought about this as well, it took me a while to think but probably my talent is drawing? Idk.
I was good at drawings since I was just a little kid, I joined a tournament when I was on kindergarten and got 2nd place. And since then I stopped drawing in 2nd grade, idk why, maybe because I found new hobbies like playing badminton with my friends. But it's ok now because I recently got back into drawing in 9th grade and I realized that I'm still good at drawing and drew more. I hope I don't stop because I can actually make a living with this talent, alot of people like my drawings especially my classmates.
Day 40: Today is the last day of exams but we ncae students are not done taking exams. We still have to take especial exam on Monday because we missed some subjects due to the ncae exams.😞 But I'm still happy because I passed the hardest exam without studying 🎆🥳🎉🎊 the topics my classmates studied hard on wasn't even on the exam. I'm so lucky.
