This channel is a f**king national treasure. You guys have no idea how much many of us use these to stay in-the-zone and/or as a means of study, AND how much many of us appreciate all the hard work you put into them.
Welcome back Ryan.
Good to see Ryan back in the game. I need more tactical minute vids/ Info vids like this one.
yeah Ryan is back!!!
The music was so moving, it made me cry.
Finally, Ryan's back! Great vid
I have a harness that hooks into my belt for a drag. The methods you show are good!
So do you still have to physically lift the casualty up with your hands while you drag or does the harness literally do all the work?
Harness does the work and my hands are free.
Rat strap method
Your videos are awesome! You really do put loads of effort in and it really shows! Everything was executed perfectly, as usual. Keep it up guys.
good to see you again, hope to see more vids from you.
Great vid ryan, clear and simple. Cheers
Good job Ryan!!! I like the other videos but this is useful stuff!!! Do more... Please
I like the idea of these short lesson videos. But will you have a combat medic series? Or groups of tactics commonly taught together in a series of videos?
Keep up the good work. Your content is unique and more than helpful to the viewers.
Did the dummy make it?
No. He took several rounds.
And a rectangle
The dummy survived the fire fight. . . But lost his feet due to frost bite!
Dude!! Ryan!! You're back!! Beginning to wonder where you went
Trying to get your buddy in fireman's carry when he is lying flat on the ground completely unconscious with full gear on is a bitch lol
not easy.
+Funker Tactical - Gun & Gear Videos it's amazing what a man can do under pressure.
Fuck yea it is...
I had a 3" hernia( injury simulation) and practiced this with a water punching bag + 100 pounds of weight, about 1/2 mile to the beach and back.
Bitch hardly describes this.
You could take better firemancarry by kneeling down, grab under the knee, rolling over and grab the opposite arm. Is is faster, it is easier to carry the wounded up.
Awesome vid
Thats really helpful in daily life
Back!!!!
More medic videos with medic ryan please
good work soldier
Where's your body armor and helmet?
I'd like to see the fireman carry work with 60-70lbs of gear on both guys
As would I. But a strong and fit combat medic is could probably lift far more than you or I plus with adrenaline on his side I have no doubt it is possible.
Is that really the right technique for picking up a casualty? -))) What a pog...
A DRD (Drag Rescue Device) is helpful. It's what the new firefighting gear has. It's webbing that goes under the arms. Also, carrying under the armpit and grabbing their wrists makes for a very controlled drag. The downside is you don't really have access to your weapon immediately.
I know it's not heroic, but many Vietnam medics had weighted ropes arranged like grappling hooks. We would drag the soldier down trails on his back. It kept the medic a distance from the injured soldier, keeping both safer.
you have to make pulling of the TEAT right?
Good to know. By any chance where is the music from?
How about in 1:30, shooting on the move Funker Tactical? Only when you have no time? Or if the enemy is advancing in great numbers and no time to stop and engage?
nice
1:37 drops mag on friend
Do you normally carry casualties weapon/ammo etc?
A lot of modern plate carriers have a handle on the nape to drag casualties with best efficiency.
A few observations from my end (which are relevant more for a team in combat)
1. We must understand the difference between dragging a wounded soldier out of the line of fire and extracting him after the firefight.
The dragging technique is ok if there's immediate danger to the wounded.
If that's not the case, we must determine a manner which will not further hurt the wounded (would you carry someone who got shot at the stomach? Would you drag someone who blew up and has a possible spine injury?)
2. The element in contact shouldn't be the one dragging back wounded in a firefight, for obvious reasons.
3. Getting someone on your back like this in real life will probably not work, and it takes around 30-40 seconds to do that in training.
In real life combat it will take even more time, so this technique is less suitable while in combat.
Hope you guys understood my post, cheers
How heavy was the dummy?
He should try to carry this guy with a complete combat loadout (body-armor, magazines, ...) on him and the casualty...
@funker tactical. show us how to extract a causality with a rifle.
what about the new drag straps?
i am a Military Red Cross operator and these is not easy like he tel!
Is that at Rockcut ?
WERE IS ZERO FROM AND WERE DOES HE LIVE NOW???
Missed Ry
Double taps all the way....
C-spine?
Can you reload when doing the fireman carry?
In sure you could, if you could balance the casualty while both hands are free.
Hey you forgot his boots!!
good thing it was a doll and not a 180 Ibs soldier + gear/ammo.
TCCC. Have the guy treat himself if he is alive, crawl to safety, return fire. The best treatment is fire superiority. Every operator should have a handle or drag strap on their kit. Once the threat is eliminated grab the strap and run like hell. Just my opinion. Don't become another casualty.
Real fireman carry isn't that easy! Good video though!
a little slow on the draw though but definitely better than me
Casualty get a clip to the face for being a noob!
I AmUnknown *magazine
Lucky it's not real COD or it'd be a pair of testicles
lacrima
Fireman carry with someone in full kit, depending on the person, can be a bitch. I picked a guy up and fell right over, then he landed directly on his head... He was pissed, but it was a good laugh
Lmfao you dropped you magazine on your buddies throat so he died anyways... Jk jk but that had me dying
★★★★★
WTF, DOC Ryan, why do you have all the cool guy gear..while your casualty doesn't have footwear.? In my book, that makes you a Blue Falcon.
It's a dummy dude
hey, you forgot your casualty !
All back no legs baby. W/ full kit that would have been an extremely shitty lift
There's no way you're picking up a full geared man that easily. It's a pain the ass to pick up dead weight let alone by just picking him up by the arms only.
Poor guy, injured and bare foot in the snow..
6 covered huh...likes you have 12 covered and 6 exposed
This a demonstration video by one guy... He's got nobody there with him at all. Congratulations, you are stupid as the fuck. Thanks for playing.
You forgot the casualty...
What Pants is he wearing?????
Seems pretty basic. Good video nonetheless. :)
To cold to operate
50 lbs dummy, try it on a 200 lbs dummy.
At least you don't need to worry about the storm troopers hitting you
I don't like playing the support class. *dislike *
If that soldier is a right handed shooter I'm pretty impressed. I clock in at around 120-124 lbs so I need to learn the MOST efficient way to move an incapacitated ally/soldier/casualty who's larger & heavier than me. I may have to strip some heavier gear off both of us. Leaving my ally behind is not an option. I do not want to be the guy living with that for the rest of my life.
