- 👉 Learn how to find the partial sum of an arithmetic series. A series is the sum of the terms of a sequence. An arithmetic series is the sum of the terms of an arithmetic sequence. The formula for the sum of n terms of an arithmetic sequence is given by Sn = n/2 [2a + (n - 1)d], where a is the first term, n is the term number and d is the common difference. Where the last term is known, we can use Sn = n/2 (a + l) where l is the last term.

Your students are so mean!! I appreciate you as a teacher, though. You made the concept of summation and sequences VERY easy and it helped a lot preparing for my GRE exam! Thank you so much. :)
Online school is so hard, your concepts have helped SO MUCH. Thank you!
You are very welcome Gabriella

@@brianmclogan Thank you for your work. I hope you'll preserve through whatever life hurls at you.
I am in an asynchronous math class and this just saved me for my first math test of the semester. I'm in school to be a teacher! Thank you for all you do!
The best math teacher to learn from.
The guys who kept replying so disrespectful, anyway i am very thankful this helped alot
happy to be able to help
@@brianmclogan may i ask why you subtracted 2 at 4:35 ? i don't get it
@@keipoppy6415 38=3n + 2
So 2 goes towards 38 which results in 36 and 3 divided the 36 which gives 12. Simple
@@dominiclhouvum8231 thank you but I understand it after watching the whole video. I should've deleted my comment HAAHAHH
@@keipoppy6415 well now ur infamous hahah. God bless
Thank you. I’m not even in school because of the carona virus.
You are the best math teacher that I have ever seen. Your students should be fortunate that they have teacher like you. keep up the good work. You have literally saved me on my homework.
Your students are very disrespectful. Thanks to you I finally understand this. Hopefully I can find a video showing geometric
Very true. They should get themselves together.
Lol it’s a class of 15 year olds chillax
@@jackmister1258 its a matter of showing respect, even if you don't like the teacher the least you can do is not be a bother for your classmates that actually wanna learn.
@@jackmister1258 uhh no idk about the 15 year olds you’ve met, but as a 15 yo I would never treat my teacher this way.
@@colonelh.s.l.3834 They arent that bad for year 10 math class lmao. What do u expect from 15 year olds? Also only 2-3 of them were even interrupting.
They’re so lucky to have a teacher like you . Let me be in your class math😭😭

kjayson rodriguez His response to this comment was so random just an ok lmao
great explanation , I wish my teacher was like this. She simply assumes we know how to do it :/
Mine too!!
That really very wrong 😄
THANK YOU ENTIRELY FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. Because I am so confused and my math teacher thinks that he is doing something but man when I tell you you help simplify things, you really do! God bless.
Bro they're lucky to have a teacher like this.
This was super well explained thank you! Don't get discouraged by the students. You are so important!!
I've been trying to figure out the amount of terms in this same sequence up to 755 all day. I found your video and finally realized that I was placing a minus 2 after 3n instead of a plus 2 , lol wow. Total number of terms at 251 finally makes sense to allow me to calculate the sum of the sequence. Thank you!
Thank you so much! This helped me understand. My teacher hasn’t even talked about it and we have a test soon so thank you!!!
you are very welcome! happy to be able to help you out!

thank you from the bottom of my heart
Thank you for these videos. It seems that you are not only teaching what I need but, you use the same text. When you referenced "9.2", I knew I was in the right place. You're a life saver. (side note, not a HS student. I'm a 38yo college-for-the-second-time student)
awesome same text! happy to help
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I’ve been watching your videos for a month now and you’re a life saver! THANK YOUU!
I would have not been able to turn in my assignment if I hadn't watched this video. My textbook is just so text-heavy and my teacher just wouldn't discuss our topics if our homeworks are not submitted. Thank you so so much sir!
Thanks a lot for this video. Helped out a lot. Having a test in two days and my teacher didn’t teach it the way you did. This goes more in-depth

Thank you very much Sir!!! I really had no idea about what was Going on!!! Thank You again 😎✌
Thank you sir it helped me a lot. I am thinking of my poor classmates who listened the online class for 1hr and I covered everything in 6 min!
I've been struggling because of online class this helps a lot thank you ❤
Thank you for your clear discussion. I wish my teacher in math also teach like you. He's good but when we are asking questions or when he see us struggling he will have this smirk on his face and saying we're already college and we should know simple thing like that. But the fact that we already forgot about it and he assumes like we still remember it after all the years is annoying.
Wow, your videos helps a lot better than my 2 hours class. Thanks a lot. For those who can't see final answer due to suggestions when the video ends cancel auto play and it will show the answer.
You are very welcome!! I will adjust the endscreens, thanks for letting me know

Appreciate it Aneek!
This help me so much for my module thanks sensei!
Thank you very much!! You've helped me much enough :)))
THANK YOU FOR EXISTING! now I understand
Very cool explanation!! I would suggest a way to make remembering and understanding the second formula a little easier, as you can imagine Un = U1+(n-1)d as the nth term formula, aka simply another way to count the nth term formula, from an nth term sequence.
For instance you could find the formula of the sequence : 2, 3, 4, 5..., by simply realizing that it goes up by 1 in your head, and then thinking how much you'd need to get to the first term by addition, (1, since 1+1 = 2), and therefore understanding that the formula would be 1n +1.
HOWEVER, you could also use the formula Un = U1+(n-1)d, and substitute the first term and the common difference in, Un = 2+(n-1)1, and then solving the equation to get Un = 1n +1.
-Un is just another way of saying the nth term basically.
I would be happy to be in his class this kids don't deserve that teacher.
Tommorow is my exam and you're the one who help me Thank youuuu
