What if he is the missing frontcourt piece going forward?
He might be the best kept secret flying under the radar since day one.
He really grew into his body and has all the tools.
Really interested to see how his path is going to play out.
After Dub made all the headlines from this draft, don’t be surprised to see him being a valuable rotation guy next year along Wigs and another frontcourt addition.
I've been thinking the same aswell. When he gains some confidence he could have a big impact.
I mean 6'10 Point-Forward who can self-create, facilitate, shoot from 3, and guard 1-4. He wasn't getting those "kinda like PG" comps for nothing.
The only thing about him is that he's really raw and seems to struggle with the speed of defense and physicality of the "Majors" versus the G-League. But in Arena's & Brandon jennings own words, "It takes at least the first 2-3 years just to get your body fully nba grade".
He showed alot of flashes in the G-League too being able to create for himself and others and switch appropriately.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if Wiggins, and Kenny are gone and hey give Dieng those 12-15 minutes to fully earn himself a role. If he can even just live up to 80% of what the team needs him to be, then its a win-win.
