Do I have the best Digital Art setup on youtube?....on Instagram?...Of all time? XD
Jk I have nothing on @AdamDuffArt heheh... But just in case you all were wondering, as I have said before, this is the culmination of years of progress. This isn't some little hobby of mine at this point, it's my job my business. Many of the things you see in the video pay for themselves rather quickly, especially the cameras. You can find my much more humble beginnings here where I just graduated from sharing a tiny desk with my Dad lol. • Old Studio Tour! [an e...

Alternate title: Josh flexes on the peasants for 13 minutes straight
😂
For real ! lol
LOL
I was thinking the same thing as I watched. This video has nothing to do with art.
1 minute in and Im already like "I thought this was a recommendation video"
this man bought a cintiq to use as an intuos
🤣
stuff only kings do
I've been doing that lately too and I too blame Boro. Great channel and excellent smooth voice BTW. Only rivaled by the Crafsman.
thats a full circle right there
I know several people (including myself) that have fallen for teh cintiq trap, you think its the end all be all but when it comes to comfort you can't beat the ergonomics of a large Intuos at desk height and a a big monitor in front of you at eye level. Plus you don't have your hand in the way blocking your view (and full access to your keyboard so all your hotkeys).... yeah cintiqs are awesome, but over rated.
If you're an artist and watching this, don't be discouraged, you don't need all of this to fulfill your artistic potential.
I know right....I couldn’t afford the chair let alone anything he has.
Yeah. But it gives me something to aim for. Im excited for the future.
@@marcuscrawford2661 u better be earning $100 000+ to afford all that, or just living in your pearents basement with $40 000.
yea, start little
Me looking at my 2017 10.5 inch ipad after watching this video like:🥺 lil man we gonna be fine don’t cry 😭
Herman Miller chairs are AMAZING. I have one. It cost $1300, but when you consider i was going through 1 $350 chair every year for a half decade and the HM chair is eternal, its very cheap all of a sudden...
Is this comment section a popular CZcamsr now crazy maybe one day I'll start a art channel
Hi jazza :D
Ive got a garden chair....
I got the floor. .
Please 🥺 Check out Tom's Art Channel
As an artist, Pinterest is both my greatest ally and my worst enemy
yes. sometimes i find myself looking more at images than saving references and doing studies.
Preach!
True that lol
Whoaa ur so organised that it's inspiring!! I gotta clean my work desk now...🙈
XD
I need to clean my life! :D
Almost replied you but then I went to your channel and was like probably to popular to talk to me, nice art though
Oh heyyy I follow u on ig lmao 😂
Gotta do the dishes.
Okay so that is the mic that makes the magic
The voice makes the magic the mic just captures it for others to enjoy.
@@jenniferaboufadle9527 That's true, although even with a good voice you need a good mic to pick up the deep sounds and that gorgeous and soothing deep resonance.
The day/night transition in the beginning - *chef's kiss*
Cable management - *horror*
Waow, makes me wanna work harder 1000% so I can get there. Team RNM
Yesss Now it was worth the trouble. Rnmmmm
@@ergojosh for more perm cable mgmt i like velcro strips, but your current clamps are faster for ppl who change their setup often.
This video was very soothing
Aye thx man, I used to watch You and Dashie XD
@@ergojosh I use to watch us too lol jk great vid yo
I've never even heard of some of these items - definitely taking notes and telling my bank account not to cry too much.
This is like MKBHD of art.
True
Pretty sure that's who he was inspired by :)
@@my_name_is_love agree😜

Note: In CSP, there's an option under *Edit > Obtain screen colour* where you're able to colour pick from your screen and thereby also PureRef.
You can set this to a keyboard shortcut or put it as a button in the command bar/quick actions.
absolute hacker
thanks for the tip!!!
9:00 momma I made it
After seeing this I love my setup which is simply a laptop and an Intuos small. I don't feel like it's so much necessary to have such a complex and advanced setup, sometimes simple seems so much breathable.
Basically a “You can’t afford this” video 😂
something to strive for maybe; the skills too! dayum
There is not a single overpriced thing in this video, everything is standard stuff.
@@---ml4jd yeah that 1500 dollar chair is pretty standard.

I wish that someday i have your set up it really looks like a digital artists dream!
You can have PureRef always on top so you dont need to have photoshop in half window CTR+SHIT+A In pureref
whare are the best paid art programs on windows?
You can get PureRef to lay on top of you application. Just right click and choose always on top
Hey ergo josh can you please share your link for the wallpapers
Man he’s one of my favorite art CZcamsrs, always look forward to watching his videos.
I’m in the Architecture field so seeing this makes me very pleased! I am also doing digital art and setting up my office space conducive to everything art right now. Thank you for sharing! You are keeping me inspired!
I’m want that futuristic fan the most! Sick setup ergo Josh! I need to make a studio tour soon.
Its worth its weight in eye candy
some how i thought he would have a fan on one side and a heater on the other side for when the weather starts to change :P
This looks like an amazing setup. However, it also looks way out of my budget. I am literally using a door as a desktop lol. The door came off of the closet and I am using it as my workspace held up by two nightstands. ”make it work” 😆😆
A DOOR how crafty
@@unnecessary111 yes a door, the tricky part is the doorknob spot. Where their is a will and a broken door 🚪 😆😆😆 I can’t complain that it is too small 🤣🤣
Oh acctually you could use the door knob hole to string through your wires, then you never have to worry about tangles.
this setup and the word "budget" don't go together lmao
A door honestly sounds amazing! Although it depends on whether or not it has a lot of grooves, haha. I've contemplated using a door as a desk before, and using the hole for cables and such. I've since moved to a different part of the world so I'll be having a custom desk made instead (and then crying about the state of my wallet). I'm glad someone's running with that, though!
Yup it's the best one I've seen so far! Anyway I actually having interior planning assignment for digital artist room and this is very helpful in the right time!! Thank you!
That sounds like a cool assignment. Figuring out a workspace is deceptively difficult!
Thanks so much for your great content man. I started watching your videos during the quarantine, and I have felt nothing but level up since! I appreciate how thoughtful and thorough you are, your passion for your work and your community is so rich. Thanks!
😱An artist dream studio! Love it 🔥
oh my god this is the exact video ive been waiting for, i always look for digital art setups for inspiration and i can never find them! Thank you!
Glad I could help!
Thankyou Josh! I love to know artists setup, just shows where they work, to me its interesting lol😂
Super awesome video, thanks for sharing your set-up! I'm barely getting to the digital art scene, and this is definitely inspirational. love you tutorials!!
The cleanest youtube recording setup (lighting, angles) on youtube. I'm not into 2d drawings but I can definitely appreciate the art of lighting, corlors and camera work :)
Absolute beast setup. I could just like the video for the cable managment stuff. Most of youtubers dont have their cables organized and its quite gross to see them randomly occuping the part below the desk. Great job man. I hope someday i will have a similar setup. Im using a Huion kamnvas pro 22.
Your studio must cost as much as a new car
its probably more useful to him than a car
assured
No more
Haha yea I drive the most common car on the streets in the usa
@@ergojosh nice, I like your priorities, lol
Yess! Kitchen / Dinner table for the win!!!! Love your workspace! 😁
Love how techy you are! Your setup is amazing.
The digital art setup I aspire: *This video
The digital art setup that I can afford: *An android phone with cracks on screen* ;-;
Hey! We got the same setup :D
Same XD
Legit my setup right now lmao
soooooon we all are gonna have these too! i know it! good night sweet people ♡
Why is every non existent art supply comment so sad ik it's sad btw I relate too😶😭💀💀
Dude, that part about PureRef... I feel like a caveman who just got taught how to make fire... Thank you so much!
thoughtful and awesome video, congrats bro, love your workstation
Your set up is amazing! I need to watch more of your videos! The last few tips where great!
This video is calling me brokeass at many different levels
This is depressing lol, a setup that most of us can only dream about.
I'm actually inspired to do a makeshift setup. I'm gonna buy my computer parts cheep for black Friday and build it ( I think I can get it under 800 total). I don't plan on recording anything so that takes out a good chunk of expenses and the furniture I can also buy/make cheap. The most expensive things are wacom cintiq and the razor. Already have a intuos I dont need to upgrade now, and I think I can just buy a gameing mouse with keys and program macros on it for the hotkeys.
I probably will never get to making a setup that cool but I think daydreaming about the possibilities kinda helps.
Most people save and work for what they want...
If it is something you really want to do and are serious about, these are things you will invest in. It will also last you for years! See it as an inspiration and something to work hard for and comprise in other habits
That's because most people only dream and don't do. Think about what you can achieve in 5 years.......5 years from now you will be looking back on what you "dreamed of", so will you see someone who did everything to get what they wanted? Or will you see someone who wasted their time away?
@@PROWL.Q coming from someone who was homeless as a teen, I believe in you and I you’ll meet your goals. Godspeed.
This is amazing, thanks for sharing your space.
keep striving for greatness creative brother!
Me: *listening to ergojosh talk about expensive tech*
My wallet: _"nO."_
Yes paradise my art desk is basibasically my laptops lying around with sketchbooks and pencils and colors stuffed in few pouches💀
Ergojosh, what i did for cable management, since i moved cables a lot also. I bought some of those 6 inch velcro strips and hot clued or stabled them to the bottom of my desk all around the back about 12inches apart. This really cleaned up my cables and still gave me freedom to move cables.
Wow, I'm drooling over your set up... I don't even do art, but this is inspirational and I eventually want to aim for a look that is this pleasing. Lots of trial and error ahead.
Cant believe I'm this early...without getting a notification lol
Same!
Same bruv
same
Your work desk is exactly how I wanted mine to look. Lol
Thanks for making this video! Your setup is very nice, love the flow. It's been very helpful for me to change up my setup as well. Also, definitely going to add my Razer Tartarus to my art flow now, was only using it for gaming.
You have come so far. Sick setup that is perfect for you.
Opening shot pans to the biggest cintiq I've ever seen: 'lets talk about my table'
this chad bought a cintiq pro to use as an intuos
the ultimate flex
I did not know about the sub view window! I'm going to check that out! Thank you for these tips.
I also use the Tartarus and honestly it's a huge productivity AND health benefit. Having all my hotkeys on hand is great, but also I don't have to worry about finding a comfortable place for a keyboard to be that also doesn't obliterate my back, shoulder, elbow, and wrist.
Bruh he is rich HIS PC IS insane his hardwork did paid off man awesome
That Razor Keypad you were using for all of the shortcuts. Does anything like that exist for your right hand? I'm a lefty so I draw with my left hand and I just noticed how that is purely designed for a persons left hand to use it.
Not many, but I have a few suggestions for you:
1. The *Azeron gamepad* is a super weird one that is customizable and can be ordered for the right hand
2. *XP-Pen* shortcut remote (simple and cheap)
3. *X-Keys* programmable keypad (pricey but high quality)
4. Remap a cheap *USB numpad* using hacked drivers
5. Take the red pill and see how deep the *Arduino/DIY controller* rabbit hole goes.
@@arkanthorartist__maker8328 lol thanks a lot I’ll definitely take a look at those.
Cooler Master Controlpad
This is soooo inspiring. So clean and just sleek
It's perfection hearing his voice with headphones on. I feel really relaxed
The guy has his setup on war mode lmao. very inspirational ^^
Haha thanks Keith
Super clean!! Nice bro!!
Hey man! Am I the only one here who would like to know more about your Tartarus Pro setup? Like, what keyboard shortcuts you have where, what you'd recommend, etc? Might be worth its own video, or at least a layout image?
SWEET setup, btw!
Now to get enough money to get all that 😂
He’s living the digital nomad life in his cave
clips, kitchen table and under table keyboard are great ideas
OMG. super nice and perfect customized work space
His chair alone costs more than my whole setup wtf
One day... One day imma have a cool drawing setup like that haha
One day.... but not today
Ye one day... But not today
All an artist need is a small studio, their minds are endless. I can sit in my closet for hours just drawing.
Wooooooooow!!! Fantastic! Control everything. So Fast! OMG it is Wonderful!
No need to work at a big studio company, we're gonna work at your place now
yo dudeeeee, i cant afford any of these stuff lol, im saving up for the ipad pro first
Hi @ergojosh always is an smart pleasure back to your channel!!
You're setup is so goals for me. As of now my setup isn't that bad but it's nothing like yours. Right now I am saving for a new drawing tablet. This video got me so excited about my own setup that's to come.
I would ask you to stop being so asthetic, but like it motivated me ya know. I know that youtube you only put your best, but still it just motivated me to try to follow through on my set up.
Early, niiiiceee
Your so blessed to have this
Daaaaaamn! Definitely love it!
Early :D
Thanks a million for pureref! Exactly what I needed to motivate myself to use more references.
Love the setup!!!
MAN!! Congratulations!! I`m still far away from buy that equiptment, but it´s very inspirational!!
Came here to see a sweet setup, left with new workflow app and CSP program tips (and I got to see the sweet setup, holy crap I'm jealous!). Awesome stuff!
Found this tour amazing! I'm just getting back into raw drawing, and am interested in ink/watercolor sketching art. I'd like to gravitate to digital art. My son, the Computer Science student & future game developer told me about Clip Studio Paint - so far I'm very impressed with it. Thank you for your most comprehensive gear demo.
looks smooth, nice
This set up is everything
Awh maaannnn I'm soooooooooooooooooooooo envious of this!!!!!
this workstation is purely awesome 💕
I was so inspired that I'm literally building my digital art setup like this after this video. So excited to come back to Wacom again after a few years of Ipad Pro
God tier setup & perfect audio! I love this!!
I am really glad I found this video, it brought a lot of ideas, and I am snatching your Rzer Tartarus set up, Cheers keep up the great work
Your studio is like a door to another world
so jelly of ur set up!!! love da art h0mie!
Wow very sweet workspace !!! nice and clean und well selected Hardware !!!
Congratulations you have a nice and wonderful set up
Dude thank you so much for sharing about the pure ref! That is a NECESSITY
Also that shortcuts keypad you have. The fact you can easily rotate canvas with it too really sold me haha
Honestly the clips are a great idea. Your set up is so nice! And that sennheizer mic is so great 👍
Awesome setup thanks for sharing.
You clearly have an understanding of how to use tech optimally. From your discussion of the sennheiser microphone, you've lived on the bleeding edge in order to gradually evolve your choices, but the system is very compact, yet extremely high quality!
This is a digital artists dream. It must have taken so much work to get all that though. Thanks for working so hard and bringing us amazing art videos ♥️ you're so inspiring Josh!!! 😊
Awesome setup, bro! 👏🏾
This is June 2021 and the first time I saw your video, but want to say you have a great set-up and I laughed about the cables. But the cables don't matter this is one of the greatest set-ups I have seen. I can see a lot of thought went into it and want to say you did a great job!
Sick set up!!!
