You play A natural minor scale until you get to E major chord.. That chord should be covered by A harmonic minor.. Hope that clears some confusion. Btw, chord progression is Am, G, F, E... Enjoy !

Thanks! I see now the E major includes g# or the sharp 7 of the A harmonic minor.
I’m just getting to grips with chord changes and finding those intervals.

Mesma cadência de "Eu Navegarei". It's interesting how knowing the scales and chords opens doors for you to identify how the songs were designed when they were created. Here is a famous Christian song in Brazil, with the same chord cadence, that is, under Harmonic Minor... czcams.com/video/ND1mnEVi0lw/video.html

@@iangarza990 Minor keys are represented by three scales: natural, harmonic and melodic....so, it's not unusual to create or hear progressions blending these. It's a great sound; something I love. Happy jammin', friend.

@@iangarza990 Well, another thing you can do is look at the makeup of each chord in the progression and follow the chords closely with the notes you choose. If you're looking for ultra melodic playing, that's the thing to do. So, simply choosing the right scale for the progression isn't enough if you're really looking for melody; the right note at the right time.
