You play A natural minor scale until you get to E major chord.. That chord should be covered by A harmonic minor.. Hope that clears some confusion. Btw, chord progression is Am, G, F, E... Enjoy !

seriously.. best harmonic minor backing track.. all the others are way too tryin hard to be authentic middle eastern backing tracks. not saying that this is authentic in the mid eastern culture necessarily , but much better than other raised 7th backing tracks

If you're looking for ultra melodic playing, that's the thing to do. So, simply choosing the right scale for the progression isn't enough if you're really looking for melody; the right note at the right time.
