    I have been using this fondant for a long time now. I would avoid microwave the fondant to help need to soften. What happens all the moisture goes so when you have covered the cake ,the flexibility to sharpen edges is not going to happen. Yep it’s hard work kneeding from the packet but it’s well worth it

      Thank you for your feedback. Im a big fan of The Sugar Paste now after usjng for so long. Ive never had an issue with using the microwave to soften. But i only leave it in there for around 5 seconds at a time. Just to help work on it. My kitchen is very cold!

    Great review, thank you for testing it out!...I’m with you on the Couture and Massa, I too use both of these but have wanted to try The Sugarpaste so will definitely give it a go, especially as you say it’s extremely white which is great for the wedding cakes! and also will work out cheaper because of the delivery cost 😊
    Very helpful, thank you 👍🏻

      Yes I can definitely now happily recommend it as an option to use in place of Massa and Couture. So much better as well with the delivery charge from The Cake Decorating company being less too.

    Best one I've used, no tears or Elephant skin. So easy to work with !

    Hi! I've just watched this as I'm having trouble sourcing Massa - the only sugarpaste I use to cover my cakes! I'll give the Sugar Paste a go, based on your review. Thank you for putting this review together

      Yes, it really is reliable and great to use for tall cakes. I use this all the time, and I have also gone back to Couture by The Cake Stuff, where they have improved this fondant.

      Hi @pattiecake6694 How did you get on with The Sugar Paste. I am getting so frustrated with not being able to get Massa.

    I wouldn't use any other than The Sugar paste, it's amazing even in the heat

      Yes I've been converted after testing it out and have switched from my go to which was couture and massa.

    Hi thank you for your honest opinion. it has been some time since you posted this video, are you still very happy with the sugar paste or have you gone back to using couture. its impossible to purchase massa.

      I still really love The Sugar Paste and now use it exclusively. Couture has a new and improved formula, which I havent tried yet. So they may be able to match more premium brands now.

    I tried this product the other day but had such a hard time rolling out! It was so hard that my husband had to do it in the end as it was to hard for me to do! You mentioned putting it in the microwave to soften which I didn’t think of, is this what you would suggest doing as I did like the way it covered my cake once it was rolled out! Thanks! X

    • @cakemebysurprise
      @cakemebysurprise  Před 3 lety

      Yes you definitely have to soften it in the microwave. I had the same problem at first, and if you use massa ticino then it's just the same. Way to hard to roll out at first. I put it on a medium heat for about 10 seconds at a time, just so that it feels more pliable, but not too long that it gets hot.

    Its way to hard and dries very hard as well. Much prefer Massa.
