Seeing Kirby in such a dark perspective somehow doesn’t make me uneasy. Because it makes sense due to most of the lore and how people created theories about it.

I mean, until Star Allies, there was nothing pointing to anything potentially sinister about Kirby himself. I think the characters with currently the least dark connections about them are the animal friends.

I feel like there it's representing the fact that Kirby has had to fight several different versions of the same enemy as the final boss before, all because they decided that the world was evil, and chose to follow the perceived pattern. Kirby knows better, but is generally unable to convince them otherwise.

@@rithm1280 well not really, according to kirby lore , void and a major part of the kirby enemies , including kirby and gooey, all originate from an ultimate being, when this ultimate being enter in contact with positive or negative emotion , it "reincarnate", creating dark matters , void and kirby , so the negative dark matters are made like this, their purpose is to cause chaos and destruction around them, but positive dark matters such as kirby or gooey do the oposite. Marx did choose to be the way he was but changed for the better in star allies, same for magolor, but magolor was possed by the crown, which is related to the dark matters in some way. Some other big bad evil guy are more mysterious but are more on the selfish side than the "doing good by being bad" side.

The thing I love about Kirby is that… despite how dark everything around him may get, he keeps a smile on his face, and is confident that he will see it through. Real people might not be as strong, but it’s inspiring to see Kirby always make it out alright in the end.

This could be a spoiler for who didn't play star allies, but it's also a theory, yet I'm pretty sure it's what Hal wanted us to understand.
He didn't smile all the way, he eventually lost everyone and everything, and he became emotionless, living in eternity, becoming Void. Until another Kirby made him remember emotions again, so he could smile again at the very end.
Was rewatching this slowly to see how you gave the Kirby cast such emotion...

I think what makes this so fitting and sad, even for an animation "meme", is that Astral Birth Void (AB Void if you prefer) is at least canonically intended to be a being from the same origins as Kirby but instead of having been given freedom and people to help nurture it AB Void had only rejection and hatred from tribes that feared it. They're both supposed to originate from "Void", the embodiment of a true neutrality in the Kirby universe, totally formless and unstable until it bonds with positive or negative powers. The pieces of Void that are exposed to, and bond completely with, negative powers become creatures such as Dark Matter which only cause negative outcomes as a result. Dark Matter is quite literally the "shape of going wrong", only able to survive by not just destroying but undoing the goodness around them. AB Void was basically just Kirby if, instead of being loved and being able to save people, he had no freedom to shape himself. It's not QUITE dark matter, it's still not driven away by Kirby's love and hope like Zero was, but it's easily the largest evolving mass of Void that could have become Dark Matter. It's Kirby if he were mere moments away from giving up on life and being forced into Dark Matter by no choice of his own.
In that sense Kirby going "No, you made the choice to be!" feels fittingly in denial about looking at what might as well have been himself, or his own kin, unjustly hurt and mutated into pure, unaligned chaos. That could have been him, that could be him, and the only reason it isn't is because he happened to grow up differently. It wasn't really AB Void's choice, either, though. That's just what AB Void believes it is; a living scar beginning to believe that it will never fully heal. It's faces shape itself to all different kinds of dark matter, on the verge of fully transforming, it's attacks are inspired by Miracle Matter as well (a whole different topic but basically Miracle matter is like a small piece of void already too far gone, unstable). It's a small detail but in-game, it even copies the face made by Zero Two's host body before being taken over. Not dissimilar to Magalor Soul's smiling corpse being used as dark matter's host. Giving in. That's dark matter's nature and if AB Void did the same, the cycle would repeat again and again. The way it loses it's smile in the animation fits the situation well like that even if it's all coincidentally done. You can't just tell someone they chose to be hurt by others and be taught the things they did. That they could have chosen to be different, be like you, that there's no way you could be like they are. Even if it makes you feel better about your own fine-line between who you are and the tortured mess you could have been if you were just a little less lucky, it's scary to think you aren't as willing and noble as you believe.

So... we were told that void was extremely porwefull like a god In Kirby star allies and at first It was neutral. Though void was destined to be evil because he was made of dark Matter if I recall correctly. Later, we were told that some warriors fought against this void and managed to get him encapsulated with those heart sticks (Idk how they are called i'm sorry). Well the theory says that when these warriors encapsulated void, they separated the Evil from the good that was in void because remember, he was a neutral being destined to be Evil with both good and bad sides. This good separated from void is Kirby. That would explain why Kirby is such a powerfull being and that would explain why he ends up in a situation where he has to kill a god to save dream land, because void was destined to destroy. So basically Kirby would have in his blood to fight against his counterpart (being a god basically). That was my way of seeing this. Also English is my third language so expect all the grammar errors.

I love that ending sequence where is seems to hint that Kirby is leaving because he fears he will face the same fate of being sealed away out of fear by the people he trusted and loved, just like Galacta Knight because of his resemblance to Void

There's so much lore and connections all crammed into a 44 second animation and after watching this like 50 times I seriously just went frame by frame in slow motion to see all the details and I'm just in love with this entire video! Kirby has got the most messed up content in it and this shows it all for all to see and it's about time!

"Heart" being the one part of the beginning chant that is never skipped fits really well in the context of Kirby. You can lose your love, lose your mind, lose control, but the heart's a stubborn thing.

Also during the beginning chant, the progression of each character through their Timeline of getting Emotionally Destroyed is so cool. Like, Kirby goes from :D - Friend Hearts Acquired - so much Dark Matter - existential depression, Susie goes from stealing the interface headset - realizing the consequences - about to sic Kirby on Star Dream - regular depression, Taranza goes happy - thinking about the Mirror - outright mourning - mourning so hard he summons an illusion of his old love, and Magolor progresses from his introductory appearance all the way through his bossfight.
And then Marx is going through normal - wish - dead - SOUL and jumpscaring me.

Dark Kirby content is the best Kirby content. These games are dark as all hell story-wise, and it's always the best when someone portrays that with the dark realism it deserves.
I love this animation! The idea that Kirby is haunted by what’s happened to some of his friends like Magolor is really interesting, especially with him noticing the similarities Void has both to himself and the Zero and having some sort of crisis because of it
Love how a simple game about a penguin stealing everyone's food ended up in so much lore that you could write 3 novels from it

Not gonna lie this is actually relatable to the actual new Kirby in the forgotten land game because I have it and I have realized Kirby had sacrificed a lot just to get to the end, for example killing many gods with upgrades he got
I want to admit Kirby has gone thru so much trauma trying to protect not only their freinds but sometimes the whole universe is put into this one poor pink round lad and I feel horrible for them on so many levels words can’t explain how much this meme makes sense.

It also doesn't help that the four characters can be compared back to the four main elements of the Kirby universe (according to Void): Dream, Heart, Darkness, and Soul respectively.
(Though one could argue whether Hearts or Dreams suit Susie or Taranza better.)

So she states that someone must give her "eternal beauty sleep" before the night ends so she may finally be at peace. Reading into it, one can see she's begging kirby to kill her, like an assisted suicide.

Twice, elfilin never betrayed kirby, it's like saying king dedede betrayed kirby because he was possessed by dark matter.
I love the fact that at the end it shows some of the characters and Kirby says "that skit was too scary", Dedede says "you think so?" and bandana is comforting Kirby :)

@@cosmikirby I just said that because in the couple of frames that Kirby looks like hi is going to cry over his hand and sees this blood in his hands, the background haves magalor, president haltman, (Susie's father), Queen sectonia and void, and a sward Wich is the sword Kirby uses to cut a volcano in two. That and I just have reed too much psychological exams (my own, mostly)

I chose those four because they stand out from Kirby’s other enemies, being people that deserved a second chance (magolor getting controlled by the crown, sectonia manipulated by the mirror, haltmann getting his memories erased by star dream, and void used as a vessel for evil), but that Kirby had no choice but to defeat anyway. The guilt is real 😔
Not to mention that for example sectonia was corrupted by the mirror, the mirror was corrupted by dark meta knight, who's master was dark mind who was an incarnation of void. Kinda looks like Kirby remembers being void and remembers his connection to their hive mind and doesn't like it.

Confronted by the Void in its primal form, the origin of his complete existence, Kirby can't deny a reality long avoided: his closeness to all the dark entities that terrorized those he consider friends. What makes him special? It's being a representation of love enough of an excuse to eradicate both the broken and the obsessed? It's his love an eternal protection from the negative emotions that had been flowing towards him? What even makes him sure that the breaking point won't appear in the next adventure? Kirby doesn't know, but something inside probably holds all the answers he isn't prepared to hear. He walks away, as it's common for him, but the only danger in sight (at least in his perspective) it's residing inside the savior of Dreamland.

Yeah this is accurate many of kirby foes suffer loss and defeat on the pink puffball then join him on his quest to stop the the jamba heart to get something out of it. Taranza loss of sectonia yet he still lookimg for a "queen". Magolor being possess by the crown and did a betray on kirby only to suffer his sanity for power he can't control. President haltmann trying to bring his daugther that drove him to complete star dream OS unaware that his daugther is his secretary Suzanna (Susie) Haltmann is right there besides him. Marx another kirby foe that wanted to rule popstar only for him to beaten and use as a projectile against star nova. Then there kirby who is actually void with positive emotion against another void with an obssesion to destroying galaxies.
Kirby being in a dark theme like that without the limitation of it being family friendly would be an amazing game premise for the series.

First off I just want to say this is one of my favorite Kirby animation so really good job to the person that made it. Second just love all the little details that you put around the characters like the little white crown for magalor and the flower for taranza. But I think my favorite part about this is probably when there is an absence of a word the character no longer has it like taranza no longer having control, Hartmann no longer having a brain taken over by star dream and sections no longer having a heart and instead replaced with cruelty.
