    Hello sir,
Your tip, that of first trying and practicing only Sa Re Ga Ma (without going to the mandra saptak) for a week or so, proved to be of immense help. I bought an E base bansuri (for the first time; till then, I played F# or above ones) one week ago. On day one, I thought I had made a mistake and that, I was never going to be able to it. But I tried the method you recommended and voila! today, i.e., one week later, I have mastered (well, not really almost!) these notes, and even been sometimes able to play pancham. I am now confident that I should be able to play that too effortlessly.
And yes, the other tips, of holding the bansuri in the right manner so that the thumb - or the wrist - does not ache, also were great help.
    So thank you.

When I try to play E base after G base, I find it easy to play madhya & tar saptak than mandra. Just opposite of what I faced while learning G base
