Hi friends! Join me for an ultra relaxing and tingly ASMR wander through the beautiful fantasy world of Dragon's Dogma 2! Although the game's launch has been marred by controversy over microtransactions, bugs, and poor performance, the underlying game is excellent, and the gorgeous landscapes and soundscapes of its world are perfect for a serene ASMR wander. It's clear that a lot of care and attention went into making a beautiful, believable setting full of fascinating sights and sounds to discover. So kick back, relax, and enjoy the gorgeous ambience of Dragon's Dogma 2!
ASMR triggers include ear-to-ear soft speaking, incidental mouth sounds, and relaxing ambient environmental sounds like flowing water, soothing rain, gentle wind, cracking fire, and more. I recommend listening with headphones for the best experience 🎧

WHAT IS ASMR? 👨🏫
---------------------------------------------------
My videos are designed to trigger a relaxing feeling called ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response). ASMR is a particular sensation that some people experience when they hear quiet sounds like whispering and soft speaking or watch certain actions like slow hand motions. ASMR is often described as a pleasant tingling on the head and neck, accompanied by a feeling of deep calm and mild euphoria. Many people watch ASMR videos to relax and manage anxiety, stress, or insomnia. To learn more about ASMR, check out asmruniversity.com/about-asmr.... - Hry
People upset about the micro transactions didn't look into them, they're all items that are easy to get in gamez are one time purchases and are for convenience not pay to win. The first game would had the same mechanics like port crystals etc only you couldn't buy them and had to grind 20 hrs before getting your 1st portcrystal. People complain too much
Ok? There used to be a time when you actually had to earn things in a game, not buy them for "convenience". Why even play games at that point?
@@VogtTD What, exactly, is your point of contention? That optional purchases render playing a game pointless? That’s ridiculous. You can’t even buy ferrystones. Don’t wanna buy DLC? Then don’t buy any. Don’t make a non-issue into an issue.
@@VogtTD The Resident Evil remakes had herbs and ammo as DLC and most people didn't buy or care about those. Same situation here, it's a mix of items like that and the deluxe edition bonuses. You can earn or find portcrystals early in the game and you gain riftcrystals just by exploring and playing the game, or having random people hire your pawn.
Facts! I think it’s so cool how you’re only able to actually purchase 1 portable crystal, camp etc. but if you want more of each or anything after that, you have to earn them lol
im buying this game for my husband's birthday because he loves loves loves the first game. i remember when we first started dating he explained the whole plot to me. he even made a playlist of music for the game. im so excited for him!!! and now i get to have another relaxing video to sleep to. im a big fan of your soft-spoken to whisper transitions. not a lot of people do that, i feel.
Absolutely beautiful game, I love how the weather inteacts with your character and the world. Can't wait to play myself. Very relaxing wander!
Agreed, the environmental effects are gorgeous, and the interactivity is very cool. I love the lighting as well, incredibly atmospheric.
You can go without your pawns, if that is something you'd want to do for another video. Any extra pawn you hired can be dismissed and the main pawn only respawns when you interact with a rift stone, so having them take a little bath with the tentacle monsters would technically get them off your back. Don’t know how they implemented it in the 2nd game, but in the first that was also a good way to reach max level faster since you get more exp the less companions you have
The environment sounds in this are absolutely divine (who knew the sound of stepping in muddy puddles could sound so lovely), and as always your insightful commentary is so relaxing and interesting! ☺️ I can’t help chuckling every time the pawns keep running past
Oooh I've been waiting for this! The game looks absolutely stunning 😊 thanks for the video, Nick! Hope you've been doing well!
I'm loving the feeling of exploration in this world so far! I never played the first DD game, but this is right up my alley. And I've been well, thanks Zoe! Extremely busy with work and wedding planning, but doing great all the same :) I hope you've been well too!
This game would be an amazing walking sim if it werent for the enemies every 5 meters

was jus about to go to bed, perfect timing! Horizon Forbidden West at some point in the future?
I hope this helps you get a good sleep! And yes, I absolutely wanna pick up Horizon Forbidden West and make some content with it, that game is SO gorgeous. DD2 and HFW both dropping on the same day meant I had to make a choice, though 😅 But I'll hopefully pick up HFW soon!
oh yeah HFW is incredible ..i second this!!
Looks nice sounds even nicer
I've been really impressed with the ambient sound design! Some specific sound effects sound a bit odd, like your character's panting when you're low on stamina, but the overall environmental soundscapes are fantastic.
There is a way for you to have your solo wanders in this world as well. Just dismiss the two pawns that are not your own. As for your main pawn... well... let's just say there is a long history of people throwing their pawn off a cliff and into the ocean for their solo playthroughs 😂
But it is an option to be just by yourself if you want another video with this game. Your own pawn will just respawn as soon as you touch a rift stone.
Ohh this is good to know, thanks! On one hand, I'd hate to do my boy Inigo dirty like that 😂 On the other hand, it would be for the greater good 🤔 I'll consider it for next time haha. One question: if I dismiss my secondary pawns, can I just summon them back again afterwards? Or are they gone forever?
@@theASMRnerdInigo, it was nice knowing you 👀
When you go into the rift, you can look up past pawns you hired at some point and specifically summon them for re-hire if you liked having them around. You also have the option to favourite specific pawns, making it easier to pick them back up later again when they ideally have levelled up some more with their own player as well and can help you with your current quests, as they will always stay on the level you hired them at :)
Also: you can hire pawns from people on your friends list for free, even if they are a higher level than you. No rift crystals needed to hire those, which can give you an edge in combat.
@@SuperInu That's all super helpful, thanks!!
this game is so fun
It IS, I've been loving it so far!
Can you make a whispering version of it??? Pleeeasssseeee😢
Where did all the enemies go?
holy crap. is this without addons? what Skyrim could have been lol
Im playing on PS5 and it's running great so far for me. Shame to hear a lot of pc players are struggling with a bad port. It's a fun game so far.
If you wanted to do another wander and the pawns are too much, you can just chuck them into the water and they will go away, including your custom pawn, who can be spawned back in at no consequences at the next rift stone
Talk to ne when they release another deadrising 😔 lol great video Nick, as always.
I miss the days where you can play a game on launch. I'm looking forward to playing this but know that i should probably wait a few months after a few performance patches have been released.
Indeed truly sad times we live in. I remember not having to worry about if a games gonna be actually finished and polished on release
Please do another one of these once you reach the malachite forest (elven lands)!
I’ve been seeing lots of negative reviews (steam) which has made me hold fire on buying. Is the game worth it?
There’s been a pretty big misunderstanding with the microtransactions in the steam page. But truly, I’d say give them a little time for a performance patch, particularly on PC. It’s fantastic though.
I agree that there has been a lot of miscommunications about the game, specifically the microtransactions. Personally, I have no qualms with the game. I also bought mine for PC, and it runs beautifully. I have a mid-level custom built PC. Just make sure if you are buying it for PC that you check the system requirements to run the game! I love the game so far! I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the beautiful atmosphere and cutscenes.
The game definitely has some issues at launch, but the extreme negativity of the Steam reviews isn't reflective of the underlying game. Rather, people are mostly upset about microtransactions, bugs, and poor performance, all of which are fair criticisms. While the MTX are pretty ignorable, Capcom did pull a bait-and-switch by adding them in at the last moment, AFTER all the critics reviews had been published, which is pretty scummy. And performance in populated areas is ROUGH, even on top-end hardware. Aside from those specific issues, though, the game is excellent. At the same time, it could definitely have used a bit longer in the oven, and I dislike Capcom's deceptive business practices. If you're on the fence, I'd say wait a bit for a sale and for the performance issues to get patched.
@@theASMRnerd Agreed! I’ve decided to beat dragons dogma 1 while I let them cook 2 a bit longer. It’s sitting in my steam with a little time played, hopefully when I revisit we get that sweet dlss 3.0 :)
The game itself is great. However if you don’t have a high end PC, you will definitely encounter performance issues.
You definitely gotta do a video like this for Horizon Forbidden West 🤩
Honestly I like it so far. Some of the complaints are ridiculous to me. The micro transactions you rarely see and the performance issues are to be expected when releasing a game. It overshadows the beautiful graphics and fun playthroughs.
Stop damage controlling.
Dude, the performance is some of the worst I have ever seen in my entire life. Like worse than cyberpunk at launch. Way worse.
You can sprint past NPCs, before they even spawn in. The draw distance for AI, enemies and NPCs, is so bad dude. Worst I have ever seen.
Always love youre vids. Game looks great just can’t justify 70$ for a game thats pushing MAYBE 30-40 fps on pc let alone the crashes idc as much ab the 30 fps ( even tho the standards easily gone to 60) its the tripple A companies man. Id rather wait a decade then play incompleted work
Do the history of oil
Thanks for the interesting suggestion! I'm no expert on oil, but I've considered doing a video on the history of BEER! Also, you're CERTIFIED FIRST! 🥇
Oil? Wtf? 🤣
I'm pretty disappointed. Idc about the mrx. The game is a technical nightmare and extremely buggy. It makes my cyberpunk experience at launch look polished. The game can be incredibly dated. The ai is outright bad at times, when thats like half the game.
It fruatrates me how fake the media can be about this stuff. No one told me about the npcs not even spawning in fast enough before id literally sprinted past them already. No one told me I got one save. No one told me about the crashes.
Those same outlets who are all "we aint payed off in our reviews" IMMEDIATELY after do a sponsored gameplay ad for the game. I literally just saw igns sponsored lets play pop up. Its insane.
I've noticed over and over, that the games that are clearly well made even if not perfect, if they aren't being payed to advertise it somewhere or invited to these press events and all that, they are a hundred times more likely to bash it.
Looks like a beautiful game. But I'm not rewarding Capcom for their shady stuff by buying it.
Truly your loss🙏🏻. Haven’t purchased a single item and loving every minute.
Reward yourself, they did nothing shady
@@Bamfony0 well they did release a unfinished broken game but that is normal these days
Which is that?
The underlying game is fantastic, but I totally understand your position regarding Capcom's business practices. The MTX themselves don't bother me too much because they're pretty ignorable, but the bait-and-switch where they added them in AFTER all the critics reviews were published is absolutely scummy, and shouldn't be allowed. And the game definitely feels like it was pushed out the door a bit too early. I feel for the devs, because they've made an amazing game, but its launch had been marred by crappy business decisions from above. Sucks all around.
