About The Daily Show:
Trevor Noah and The Daily Show correspondents tackle the biggest stories in news, politics and pop culture.
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah airs weeknights at 11/10c on Comedy Central.
Let's just admit it:
these two are the best Daily Show Correspondents,
and furthermore,
they should have their own primetime detective sitcom together.
These are the Real life Lethal Weapon dudes.
Desi is amazing too. The deadly trio
The only thing I can admit to, is that they are all amazing.
These two and Desi Leysic doing her foxplainings
Bad Boys swirl or nothing!
When the narrator said "Nerdy Suge Knight"...I looked at the guy and I died 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
...and 30 min later, I was right there with ya!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ikr
It was Jordan Klepper who said it
"You're calling Black People? ...Lemme get that number."
Fantastic line.
Aint he something?
I just heard that line and saw your comment
Yeah it is lol.
Klepper: Who are you calling?
Roy: Black people...
Klepper: Let me get that number.
🤣😂🤣😂
Def my fav line in this
"GOT 'EM!" "White dude just said it." 😂😂😂
I laughed so hard at both Roy’s line and Jordan’s.
These two have such great comedic chemistry.
It would be fun to see how they could pull off doing SNL weekend update.
You should see John Oliver and Larry wilmore - the N word. That’s what got me to watch the daily show.
Rewatching after seeing Jordan and Roy during Roy's time hosting. ❤
This guys are just crazy. I wish this issue was this fun in real life
Every culture is mentally unstable may drinking and wild nights and fornicating and hung over should not go to controlling dysfunctional people especial that dysfunctional wild knight no not cavalier discipline of the job a lot of people who call in sick from high temperature spa happy ending ha
Hey there Malcom. Puncutation is your friend.

My stepdaughter just became a police officer in Berlin, Germany. I am beyond proud of her. Her training took 3 years. She studied besides regular Police training, which is required here. They were taught law. So now she has a Bachelor degree in law AND is police. They were taught cultural differences, also in laws. They were taught typical biases everybody has...on the police and on suspects. In Berlin we have gangs and they have fire arms...just like in the states. We habe illegal prostitution, massive drug abuse, trafficing and so on and so forth. Just like in the states.
There are differences though...
My stepdaughter has to take debating classes. She had to take de-escalation classes. Situational training. Classes on mental illness.
And really only little fire arm training. Her first year in school, she didn't even touch a gun.
The way i see it, over here, police are prepared to understand situations and deescalte them...without hurting anybody or getting hurt.
..The last two words, really. Just about sums it all up, don' it?
cool! i didn’t know that and appreciate ... greetings from berlin
I'm happy for u n your stepdaughter. Congrats
Germany and Germans seems superior to America and Americans in every way and the German police therefore will be superior too by transitive property. I would like to see a country as racist as America that has a non-racist police force. Like France and Spain. Those people are pretty awful, I wanna know what their police are like to minorities.
But then who will think of the assault rifles?
“Nerdy Suge Knight” I’m dead 😂
Same!
😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣😂
Both their timing is Excellent. Especially when Roy wood ask that white lady why she is crying.
The "police academy" in Sweden last over 2,5 years, including 6 months of "ride alongs". How long is it in america, 6 weeks?
@WachSein don't forget making sure they don't hire anybody even slightly intelligent
Different departments have different lengths of time. But you're not fully an officer in most departments until after a couple of years. You'll get about 6 months on average in the academy, and then you get another year and a half to two yours of on the job training as a rookie. Any mistakes during this time and you'll wash out.
There are 5 simple solutions to drastically reduce police brutality.
-Police academy must be at list 2 years with a major focus on de-escalation, community building and conflict resolution.
-Only college graduates can be recruited.
-Increase police salaries (yeah I said it!)
-Payment for proven brutality claims and wrongful deaths must be taken from the collective police pension fund of the entire state!
-End the police union. Public servants shouldn't have unions.
@Tea Clarke It depends, really. If a large chunk of the training is "You're under attack, everyone hates you, you need to defend yourself, here's a couple of guns" giving them more training is not going to help. They need more proper training instead of the militarized fearmongering they are indoctrinated with now.
@@SGGCREATIVES Realistically, only your first and fifth make sense. Maybe the 4th, but less so.
“ A black dude without earrings” lol ...
His wink after that 🤣
Or without tatts.
Just taken mine out
We need jordan kleppers show back
Yea and can that fool Trevor Noah Klepper is so much better and actually funny
I love Jordan Klepper to bits, but man the premise of that show had nowhere to go; proly the suits or something but trying to do The Colbert Report as Alex Jones did not work my dude. I'd love to see a new Jordan Klepper show, but I don't need that old one.
we need more of these two together
@@Noms_Chompsky The last show was amazing.
@@AZOffRoadster That's cool, I feel differently, maybe I'm not the audience for that one
This was honestly the funniest segment I've seen on daily show
Yes, I agree. Along with Foxplained with Desi Lydic.
Except the skits Roy does as his alter ego!!
Jordan Klepper playing the bad guy is hilarious. Him together with Roy is comedy GOLD
Legendary rendition of bad Boys right there. They should just star in a buddy cop film already
I'm an old white lady, I wouldn't want to rely on Jordan for protection.
I would totally pay to watch that.
“I’ve seen bad boys”
“Yeah I bet”
😂😂
"Stop crying!"🤣
I weezed hard!
"Nerdy Suge Knight"
I absolutely lost it here 😆
I am not going to lie, they have great chemistry. They could star in a couple of episodes of Brooklyn nine-nine.
Nah, Lethal Weapon sitcom
I heard a women on NPR say that, "I know lots of cops who are absolutely not racist, but they're terrified of Black men. Mind boggling. Total ignorance of what racism means
That sentence conflicts with itself in a lot of ways
"Hello Black twitter" faarken dead asf 😂😂😂
@Mot Doai easy spam report
The question was, "Are police racist?" and Mr. Dietl answered with, "Not all cops are racist."
"Nerdy Suge Knight."
Wowwwwwwwwwww. 🤣😅
Great book on implicit bias: "Biased" by Jennifer L. Eberhardt, PhD. This book didn't come up on a lot of last year's reading lists, but it should have. Eberhardt is a neurologist who uses brain scan experiments to study implicit bias. This combined with powerful personal stories prove that bias is a real thing, and how training police helps overcome implicit bias in real life situations.
Thanks for this, I will def be reading this!!!
It's on Amazon Audible!! Thank goodness, sometimes it's hard to find these books
@@GreatDayEveryone I also bought the Audible version, it's read by the author and is great.
My first husband (now deceased) took all the tests (mental, emotional and physical) to be a cop. He admired and respected them. He passed physical tests easily, barely passed emotional and psychological testing. They convinced him to see therapist. Years later he was emotionally ready, but too old physically. I think this proves that most people need time to gain the wisdom a cop needs. Bias and anger are much more in control with age and experience.
“Black Twitter” 😂😂
... can you “unteach” hate ??!
Definite, "YES"!!!
OR... just teach to hate hate.
I don't think it's hate, it's worst like sickness
It's like I'm looking at Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert in their youth. Hilarious.
This was funny AF. These guys should team up more often
"Somebody who gets shot next month ..."
Parents watching their kids go out the door every day with that time bomb ticking. Heartache.
Intercat - And sadly I don't see it changing. They still put the gate at the bottom of the stairwell. Why are the police being called in - domestic violence / thieving / mental health - isn't easier to sort
This is the funniest thing I have seen in a looooong time
I just screamed.. "NERDY SHUG KNIGHT" 😩😩🤣🤣🤣
"Black dude without earrings, Nerdy Euge Knight." Funny. Made me laugh out loud.
Kidding aside, bias training does work, and it must be part of recruiting, training, policy, reward, and leadership strategies that promote commensurate force.
Agree. And I want to poinf out another thing is that officer did the right first step: admit that there's a problem.
Officers also need more training before they start working. They are woefully under trained for what is expected of them!
Somebody's woke! 👏👏
So you are saying we need to give the police more funding for extra training?
"nerdy Suge knight" had me crying laughing.
Roy: Why am I in the back seat. SO SUBLIMINAL 😂😂
Yes it should...you cant have a man handcuffed on the floor and choose to stand on his neck for 10 minutes because your ignorantly believing his cries for air is a form of resisting arrest. Enough is enough.
Resisting cardiac arrest
@@optioningthabears861 yt pipo in America reallly dont thibk blm...can watch a black man be murdered and not care at all. Just like hangings back in the day. The evvil runs deep...bot all yts but it seems like most
The unstoppable duo yess
But I question Kelpers sanity sometimes lol
The only thing that will help is accountability.
Actually it's not. I mean accountability is important as well, but it's only a reaction to another tragedy. If you wanna tackle those incidents before they happen, you need prevention i.e. bias courses, extended training, conflict resolution training, etc. And of course, take their tanks, battle rams and other military equipment away.
@@crisrer4720 Yes, it is the most important aspect. Accountability. That is why the George Floyd case was a milestone in history.
I don't know if you ever heard of Beau of the Fifth Column? He used to train the police. He quit because the officers said to him 'it doesn't matter, we write the report'. That was while he was giving class to officers in de-escalation!
Training does not remove racism, escalation, targeting of minorities, .... It never has. It's getting the bad officers out of the police force. Yet, that doesn't happen.
Never gonna happen there is no accountability when the US regime invades and occupies countries around the world the Application of violence for gain will continue
I died when the turn around happened
Roy and Jordan together equals comedy gold!
I died of laughter when he refered to the researcher as”nerdy Suge Knight” lol 😂
I’m sold! These two definitely need their own show together.
These two need their own show
Black Twitter🤣🤣 3:55
End Qualified Immunity, hold them accountable and watch their behavior change. Done and dusted, home and dry.
And pay reparations to victims out of the police pension fund.....
GET ON THE GROUND! ...dying here. Jordan is the best.
Not all cops are racists but some are and need to checked big time 🤨🧐
I agree ☝️. Here’s my take; “Not all black men have a criminal mindset but some do and need to be Incarcerated but not lynched by cops who took an oath to serve and protect”.
Yup. It’s as simple as that.👍🏽‼️
@@WonLotto100M and that’s why we need to view everyone as an individual rather than from an identity group. Problem with society today and big media is that they categorize individuals into groups (ex: black=criminals, cops=racists) when in fact, it’s all individual actions. A criminal commit crime cuz he is a criminal not cuz he’s black, and this is the mindset lacking in today’s society and media.
This is the best daily show field report I’ve ever seen. Keep these two together!
I have worked with retired police for almost 10 years. Here is the opinion of retired police officers. Police need to be on the street no more than a maximum of 10 years. Once they hit that amount of time they start to become hardened and need to be removed from the streets and put into a new role.
So they want to wok for 10 year and retire? That sounds pretty nice to me too tbh. Especially with a union more powerful than the DOJ and a solid pension plan.
I was with you until you called the gentleman “Nerdy Suge Knight” 😂
Did this man just call him "Nerdy Suge Night"🤣🤣🤣
These 2 are the best! ✌️💙
"Nerdy Suge Knight"
@2:24
I couldn't stop laughing
Teaching police how to fight might help . Training more than year .. psychological evaluations .., idk 🤷🏾♂️
@Michael Lochlann you Steve Wilkos said one time he was a cop for years and rarely pulled his gun or shot it . Because he was in the army and knew how to disarm a person and he could fight . That really gave me perspective on Police training in America . He also said police training is terrible ... it’s really a easy fix . Nobody wants to do it .
@@Del_116 well if there’s a massive protest on stricter police trainings/psychological evaluations rather than “defund/abolish police, maybe the problem would not be as difficult to cope with. They don’t even realize they’re not fixing the problem, but making the problem worse. More police gone/retired means increased crime rates.
@@henrylai9593 Defund the police mean stop military style training for cops and more funding for schools and community stuff . Like the police athletic league used to be in my neighborhood for after school . But they don’t do that anymore just fund prisons . That what it means .. you don’t understand that then idk 🤷🏾♂️.
They get psych evals.
@@oldcatlover not really .. my cousin a cop in nyc . He said the evaluation is easy to fake . The don’t give proper evaluations .
“Someone who gets shot next month.” Should not have made me laugh like it did. 😂
I am in the hospital after a pericardectamy. Hearing "Nerdy Shug Nite" made the doctor come running because I was not getting enough oxygen from laughing so hard that it physically hurt me and prevented me from breathing.
Kudos on the funniest line I have heard all year from anywhere
I know it’s a character, but Klemper triggered me
Then he won
Me too.
#BlameKlemper
“I got them” 😂😂😅😅😂😂😂
I know a retired cop who went to 'Sensitivity Training 7 times. It didn't help a single bit.
I love that Jordan Klepper mentions "without earrings" baiting out the fact he has bias[wants to appear to] and the guy is so flumoxed he doesn't point it out :)
These two should be in a movie together. Just their interactions have to be hilarious.
3:00 nothing beats the guys face in the background here 😂😂😂
"You've never heard of Black Twitter?" 🤣☠️ Obviously, Bias Training needs to step up their game!
‘ Nerdy sugar knight’ 😂😂😂😂😂
I feel guilty laughing
"Nerdy Sug Knight" I sharted myself 🤣
Comedic genius, the writing, and acting is pro level.
I'm pretty sure they are professionals. Taking risks asking tRumpsters risky questions in earlier skits. I love the humor.
Looks real to me
4:19. Whoever put L. Richie there is a GENIUS !!!!
😂😂Fr.
Nerdy Suge Knight took me out man!! ☠️☠️
Ope... he said "Hunker and Bunker down"... lol total Wisconsinite. 🤣
Love these clips. So much truth is spoken!!!
In Germany, becoming a police officer requires 3.5 years of study at the academy (more like a university). We have 3 tiers of high schools, depending on your performance during middle school. Only graduates from the highest tier "Gymnasium" (yes, like the gym), are eligible for application, should their GPA permit it.
You spend 6 months out of those 3.5 years on active ride-alongs to gather some experience.
I think US cops would use a lot less force if they were taught 3.5 years of conflict de-escalation.
LUV these guys! I laughed til I cried ...then I just cried. Than'x for bringin it home boy'z.
These 2 are gold together!🤣🤣🤣🤣
There's nuance about this. 🙃
I really enjoy the segments where these two are together. Gives me Michael Che and Colin Jost vibes
I think they're funnier myself!
“The community is the police and the police is the community.” ✊
Really ????????
You believe that...jjjjjlmao . Have to be white!!!
🤯
I think if people can, they will always abuse they're power of authority. Give a person a little power and they will abuse it. Remember youtube heros?
Not all people , we need to limit what they can and what they can not do with laws like any other free country
What personality type WANTS to be a cop?
You even see it in management at a s*** job, they act as if they're given some sort of divine authority
@@AZOffRoadster As Trevor Noah put it, "Law enforcement; the answer to 'What does a school bully do for a career?'"
Not always true. As a lifeguard it was my privilege and responsibility to keep people safe by enforcing the rules. My word was final and I took great pride in being fair and consistent.
it's so weird seeing them in the same room without masks
Why they call him Nerdy Suge Night?!😂
I like Chief Koval not because his training that he started 6 years ago ended up not holding up 6 months ago but rather because he’s at least trying to amend the issue. Many other chiefs deny it exists and hide their head in the sand.
"Nerdy Suge Knight" 😂😂😂
Always a great comedic team.
These two are freaking a dream team. 2 of my favorite people on tv.
These two are great example how color shouldn’t matter and how people can be great together regardless of color or race.
Whether you’re white or black, we are all humans from the same origin.
That was hilarious.... why am I in the backseat🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Are _all_ cops biased? Every single _one?_ No. But the overwhelming _majority?_ Yes. So it _absolutely_ makes sense for law-enforcement personnel to go to work, every day, aware of this fact about themselves.
I'd argue that not only are ALL cops biased, but EVERY human being is biased, cop or not. Biases are not always about race and are often unconscious, but they're pretty much inevitable. However, acting on them is not. When biases are as harmful as the ones many police have about people of color, it becomes important to recognize they exist and strive not to act on them.
04:18 - “Hello? Is it me you’re looking for?”
They definitely need their own show. I'll watch😅
But police often see themselves as on one side against the community hence their thin blue lines and Punisher patches.
ok, can we just pause at 4:18, in the cubicle of a madison, wi cop with a poster up of 1982 lionel richie's face, titled "Hello?", with the caption under it saying "is it me you're looking for?".
is that hanging in a police station hilarious, or racist, or both?
😂
Why the he’ll I’m I in the back seat? I am deceased 😁
"Call Black Twitter!" Actually, this was interesting.
The "Stop crying" got me

“Somebody who’d get shot next month” 😂😂😂
