This was great, thank you! I've seen you all over Pinterest but had no idea you had your own social media presence. It was comforting, for me, to hear from a supermodel her hair is similar to mine. So often we hear their hair is thick, has body and they almost roll out of bed looking gorgeous. Don't misunderstand, you are gorgeous with your hair natural. Joanne, 63yo.
My hair is similar to yours, very soft, not very thick any more (I'm 63)but with a slight curl. I'm very grateful for your tutorial, thanks so much ☺️ and BTW, your accent is absolutely beautiful 🌹

I finally got a cheap vent brush. What a game changer! Thank you for the tip! I got my hair cut as I thought I was going to lose it with chemo. Then afterwards, they said no! I am loving it! We had a handyman at our house the other day, probably in his 30's, nice young man, and he told me he really liked liked it. I'm 63.

It’s remarkable.. your hair down is cute… but oh my! The finish is dramatic -and stunning!
I’ve been styling my hair like this for months and I got some tips that might make it easier.. but I have a bit of natural wave which helps. Plus i use a tiny bit of volume powder on top to really thicken the look of my fine hair. It is nice to be different and be stopped with compliments at my age (76).. but I love the drama of the style. I’m grateful for the inspiration and information!

I’m on the very cusp of getting my long hair cut short (had the same hair for about a thousand years)… your video here has just clocked up my “let’s do it” percentage from 85 to 95%

I absolutely love this look! I just recently cut my hair to a very short pixie style with extra length at the top. I had spent 8 years growing my natural dark brown hair all the way to my tailbone but a year ago I used this lightening product that is sprayed onto wet hair and worn out into the sun to lighten it. The color came out a beautiful strawberry blonde but with time the breakage in my hair became so bad that I decided to cut it all off and start all over again. I'll never dye my hair again because it really has been quite traumatic for me. I'm going to give this look a try tomorrow. It's very cute. Super nice 🥰

I finally have this hairstyle yay! I actually cut it myself (I have had training). I wouldn’t trust anyone where I live to get this right😳. I too have fine, floppy, soft hair but a fair bit of it. I’ve still got a little bit of growing on top to go though as I have bleach bits on the ends on top that need trimming off but the sides and back are my natural salt and pepper colour. Thanks 🙏🏻 for this tutorial as it has helped 😉

Love this.. I, too, cut my own hair and am using this video as a guide. My hair is white (naturally), and naturally flat. I have found volume hair powder (tiny bit) really helps it stand up. This style is my favorite of all time! Happy to know someone else out there is cutting their own😍

I’d liked it right at the beginning! I am just not willing to do that much work on my hair. I know, my loss.
It takes me under five minutes from start to finish, I do it on auto-pilot these days :)

Thank you for replying! I believe you. I've a question you may be able to answer... I'm going for your look, my hair is very much like yours. My left side is golden, just right like Goldilocks but my right side isn't getting the memo, it's rebellious as BUCK! It goes this way & that way like it's amidextrius or possibly trisexual-it tries anything... anyway the wind blows is fine with it! It refuses to be trained. Hmmm, the hair doesn't fall far from the tree. What do I do?
Shall I just go with it's flow???

Thank you for showing me how to get it to stay up. I've been using the powder for root lift. It's like chalk and makes your hair hard to keep its style.
I hope that I was able to help. I have tried root lift powder and it does tend to make my hair feel very chalky. Mousse or root lift spray works better for me. Good luck!!

After searching for a new hairstyle, with a quiff on Pinterest, I came across you and this led me to this video. I have to say, not only do I love your hairstyle, but also the colour. You're absolutely gorgeous too and so is your accent. I'm assuming you're a model (please forgive me, that I don't know this).

It doesn't like the rain, so I make sure I have an umbrella in wet weather :)
Do you put on conditioner also when washed before adding products
I don't use conditioner because my hair is very soft and floppy and I find that conditioner makes it much harder to style. :)
How do you get your cut
not sure if you will see this message but I don't have instagram but I saw a recent video of yours where you used a small round brush but also a small i.e. narrow what looked like vent brush. I do use a vent brush myself but not as small as that one. Any idea of the make that I could search as I am in GB. Thank you🌺

I have a couple of vent-type brushes that I buy from the pharmacy, no special make. I need to create volume because my hair is so limp, so any brush that allows me to pull the hair up and away from my head, while allowing the air to flow through the brush works. (If you have natural volume in your hair you may not even need this step?) xx
So you did find the Poker Paste I suggested to you long time ago after all ? There really is no difference between this one and the Stiff Paste is there ?
Yes! I really like it, I feel that it might be slighter softer than the Stiff Paste, I think I prefer the Poker Paste actually. It isn't available here in South Africa (unless you order online which costs a small fortune for shipping and import duties and taxes). My hairdresser managed to get her hands on a couple of tubs, but I am not sure what I will do once my tub is finished. (I feel very grumpy that it isn't available here :( ) xx
Can you not get it through your hairdresser then in the future ? That’s what you told me then, that you couldn’t get it in SA. So I was surprised and happy for you you did get your hands on it in the end. Stupid isn’t it ! Why do we girls always want something that isn’t available in our own country ! 🤪. I remember I used to drive to France to get my hands on Urban Decay makeup and lots of other things. Now they have many of these brands in Belgium too, I don’t use them anymore. Pity because I did love my trips to the North of France. It was only short of a 2 hours drive and Lille is a beautiful city. Please reconsider a makeup tutorial. I know you think you’re not an expert but hey who needs those Instadolls. You always look so fresh faced with an adorable flush. So come on girl be brave and do it. You always need a daily challenge you always say, there you have one !

I think that my hairdresser got someone to bring her a couple of tubs into the country in their suitcase, she can't get hold of it easily either, I bought two tubs from her a couple of months ago. (Even though she is a l'Oreal salon, she only uses their products!) I will consider doing a tutorial. (Believe me I have enough challenges going already!!) Thanks for you message xx
Love your tutorials! About how old were you when you first switched to this faux hawk? Were you modeling yet? I am new to this hair style (faux hawk), so I don't have it down yet. It's funny. When I got my faux hawk about 3 weeks ago I intended for it to be temporary as I thought chemo would make me bald. I found out I will not lise it this time, ha! Happy accident! I plan to keep it. I've only had 1 women stare at me and look me up and down several times (I was watching her in my peripheral vision. She faced forward for a moment and and I made sure I was looking straight at her so when she turned around to continue to stare I was looking her straight in eye and I smiled at her. She smiled back, faced forward and never looked at me again. Ha!
My short pixie started to morph upwards about 10 years ago. I started modelling after it was grey and already on its way to being styled up and back. I think that you will find that you get a lot of interest and a lot of compliments. Happy news that you hair will be staying put xx
