I was able to make a reasonable version of your VF Raider late in the league, and it was the first build that ever got me through Delirium 30. Absolute banger on all fronts, extremely fun in all content, couldn't have been more satisfied. "Build of the League" is well deserved

I played this Voltaxic CoC Bow Flicker build. Damage was very good, but survivability is ass. Is a glass cannon build, but very enjoyable if somehow you can manage not to die in every other red tier map especially if you are warping around on top of enemies.
While you were making my dream Voltaxic Rift CoC LC build, i was out there trying to make Static Strike CoC LC work lmao (still hit really fucking hard into white maps but i couldnt scale it). I really really hope i get to try out your build this league as i didnt get to last league sadly.
I may be asking for the impossible - but can you make a bleed Earthquake slammer that wrecks things. Cause I really would like to play one, but my builds for it hit like a wet noodle.
So I'm curious, why do you like double strike over dual strike? Many people recommend me dual strike than vaal double, but I personally just love how the swings go 😆 feels like true dual wield... and a bit of d2 barbarian... and the boys squad is just too fun

I started Ethereal knives 2 times, both were a failure, even if the mid-game was okay, I could not bring them to endgame, sometimes I'd even skip rare mobs. Nice to see that Mathil also does NOT recommend starting that
I did ek ignite elementalist in sanctum and it was probably one of my best league starts. Just play wave of conviction until you have the required items for EK to feel good, used WoC until like level 90 ish when I had gloomfang and 100% ele conversion without having to use some shitty unique gloves. I guess it's not technically starting as EK but the goal was to play an EK build and I used next to no regret orbs to do so. Endgame dps was acceptable, main draw for EK is the insane clearspeed, pops entire legions in split seconds.
So wait what's the issue with the dex stacking fissure character? The dex stacking fractured base just doesn't appear early league? Or it's no longer possible at all?
I think he was also using dex stacking relic? And to get the dex stacking axe you need to wait a bit for some to be found and become reasonably priced. And waiting around isn't something you want to do on a starter.
Synthesis implicit rather than a fracture. Implicits are stupid rare now and anything half decent is really expensive. You can get stat stacking as a mod but it's near impossible to craft them without the mod being fractured, and fractured ones are also stupidly expensive and rare. Basically those items don't exist early league. Also the dex stack relic was something like 50% more dps, and relics don't exist anymore
Super fun build showacases as always Mathil, much appreciated. If you guys still out there parroting that the meta is stale and there is no build diversity you're just delusional, really.
i dont get why they didnt keep sandstorm visage in the game. its not OP, it basically only works with a trash weapon nobody uses(yeah, you can use any but most will use it with it), it kinda locks 4 equip slots (head, weapons, amulet). it is a spell build enabler, sure, but its not amazing compared to all the rest.

went as low as 300c 1 week into the league, spiked up to 800c after that but then quickly settled down to 100-200c. Either way that's pretty affordable, not difficult to use another weapon to farm currency with until you have voltaxic. Keep in mind when he says "is it budget/league start" he means can you take some form of the build and adapt it to league start, so in the voltaxic setups hes thinking about using a rare elemental bow for hit based and playing lightning arrow, or any bow with crit + asenath chant for CoC, both of which are definitely league start. He isn't talking about using voltaxic the second you hit maps. You can league start as lightning arrow or coc setups.
@@MyNameIsSalo While I personally agree with you that 200c or even 800c isn't expensive, I'd venture to guess that a lot of mathils viewers won't. you gotta consider that newer players are typically gonna be the ones looking for league starters and paying attention to those ratings even if mathil explicitly states to take it with a grain of salt. They barely know how to make 200c, let alone play something that colors even slightly outside the lines of a given pob. I just think his VR starter viability was off the mark. This league it'll probably be expensive again too since ele bows are looking to be pretty popular.
Gone be funny watching the Reddit tears for ppl who try to start “build of the league” with no synth base and no more relics. Wouldn’t be too hard to craft a shaper wep or whatever it is, but ppl gone be like where the fk is my damage lol

Varunastra GH was a huge surprise. It's amazing to see when the right combination of items come together they can make for something very beautiful.
