I just arrived at the hotel, I've heard penacony is really good and deppressing, and it's written by the same dude who wrote the himeko arc and final lesson in honkai impact, if that's true? Oh boy.. this is gonna get sad real quick... (God I cry every single time I watch final lesson, fxck it's so good 😭)

@@idontspeakjapanese6289 My headcanon is that Acheron is not aware of her alter ego most of the time. She said holding her sword makes things clearer so I think that's when she remembers what she's done. So the calm, polite and aloof but friendly Acheron we first meet must be the "normal" her. I think the alter ego is just a split personality that sometimes takes over and makes Acheron forget - remember, when we first met Acheron, she talked about having a bad memory.

if you play HSR just take it easy and don't rush because there's so much to do even in early game
and stay away from the redditors, twitter users, and drama. We already have enough coverage of that.
The timing of this one was impeccable, it would have been so sad if the latest animated short didn't make it to this video cause it's amazing

If you start playing HSR, don't worry about the limited time events! The ones with storylines are permanent (you do miss out of some limited time rewards, but it doesn't affect the story at all!) Just play at your own pace :)
This is the first time I watched Sparkle and Acheron's trailers. I'm coming back to start Penacony, once and for all. Nuff said.
Good timing on doing these, the animated short that came out today is insane!
You always join the games at the most opportune times lol. First, you joined Genshin when it was in its first anniversary and now Star Rail.
HSR is entering it's 1st anniversary soon, they will essentially give out 30 pulls in the next patch. With the Honeymoon Period for new players, you are basically guaranteed a 5 star in 2.1, the beginner banner also gives a 5 star after 50 pulls which you'll get after a few days.
Penacony is a world that exists entirely as a shared dream. That's why all the promotional material feels like a fever dream, because it is.
after Jingliu's trailer you went back to look if she was the lady from the first short (she is!), but both of the characters in that short were ALSO in the start of Imbibitor Lunae's animated short as his past-life's friends

The annihilation gang is group we saw a few trailers ago. The one where the boss was the guy with the horned skull for a head.
This is so recent it's new for us as well.
When we saw the trailer we assumed that they will be the main villains of this arc. But apparently she already killed the boss? We don't know anything 😅

I don't know how I never realized how jarring the switch up between the loufu/belobog arc and the penacony arc is. In game and if you're up to date we all know we're going to the planet of dreams and festivities but like from his perspective we're fighting gods and mechs and stuff and then we're fighting tvs with legs and trash cans.

You really seemed to like Jing Yuan, so I would recommend starting playing within the week, because his banner is running right now and likely won't be back for a while.
Yeah first banner was in 1.1 and didn’t get a rerun until 2.0 so probably going to have to wait until at least 3.1 for him to come back around
Shame but he won't because the 28th is after Jing Yuan is gone. And DeeBee really likes Sparkle too and she's on the banner right now as well.
Naah bruh, don't make him suffer building this character. It's way easier to play with any other 5* lightning.

They literally created a new rose called argenti just for this character. The hsr devs are kinda insane. You should look it up. It's crazy pretty.

Oh my god you're in for a treat.... Experiencing Star Rail on the Acheron banner drop!!! Excited for you, I hope you have fun!! I certainly love playing it even on a busy week since it doesn't really feel like a game I should grind on a daily to be able to catch up. (They only have WEEKLY quest grind)
Just started playing the game and I must admit it's super fun.
You had great timing with this though keep a look out, the devs promised us two more acheron videos. They should be out within a week.

And just as fast as you've caught up, they drop another bombshell of an animation. Acheron got a Myriad Celestia trailer after Rondo Across Countless Kalpas. And it might be even more confusing, too!

You don't really have to do any cut. As Hoyoverse doesn't actually send out copyright strikes to anyone. So far from the time that they have had their games out. like Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin and so on... No one has gotten copyrighted as of yet.

Don't be suprised if u don't understood all of it since the Myriad Celestia trailers are meant for world building and u need at least have played some of the game to get a feel for it.
As for the Keeping up with Star Rail videos, here's a suggestion, why not take a look at the main site's character section and select a few who u'd think would be cool to play and make a list from that.
Keep in mind that 4 star characters might not have a video about them though most have at this point aside from the ones that the game launched with.

I think the choice to omit the explanation trailers was a good one, since it's a gacha, you'll probably never ever get to own and use some of the characters, so learning about them doesn't seem like a high priority. 👍
But I'd still watch a future reaction video on them.

my personal theory for Acheron is that she is the emanator for nihility. 2 reasons are, you see IX in the animated short and that Duke Inferno was no match for her that she didn't care to remember killing him
Well Duke Inferno was no match for most emanators in the first place, mix in the fact that we're talking about a Raiden Mei here
(Seriously though all Meis end up being canonically broken. One awakened as the Origin, another sliced a mountain in half just to kill a sea serpent, and Acheron clearly has ties to a similar fate as Earth where they failed to save Izumo while Earth was saved by Kiana, Mei and Bronya)
He probably stepped on a landmine and got a quick 1000 slices from her katana. Seeing what happened to Ifrit, his children probably ran like hell.... no pun intended of course
Edit: It'd be cool now that Ifrit is dead, that his children filled with rage finally gain the gaze of Nanook to go on a warpath. That'd be a sweet storyline

It's a super lore heavy show that I can see you getting really invested in!
The Penacony stuff is so weird because most of Penacony's story is set inside a collective dreamscape, where constraints of reality don't always apply. Things can happen that wouldn't be possible anywhere else. The dev team took full advantage of it, making puzzles that rely on forced perspective and optical illusions

There was one more animated short featuring Clockie that you skipped over. You did the first one which was the penacony travel promotional video. But there is a second one titled "welcome to dreamville"

Also please do the rest of the keeping up with Star Rail. I love them so much with all the little jokes they put in with owlbert. And it introduces you to the 4* characters since they unfortunately don't get much spotlight in the rest of the trailers.

You really have to watch all Honkai impact 3rd animations, the newer ones are really good my favorites are "Because of you" and "Thus spoke apocalypse" as well as the ones you missed last time like "Lament of the fallen"

@@Vonmoonlight yeah I’ve seen most of them and I play the game in English. Even though I like jp voice acting in anime, the English VAs in star rail embodied the characters so well that I was captivated by their voice acting.

the ipc trailer is basically just an intro to the whole company of the IPC itself. is like an ad to market their branding and it felt like some recruitment drive

yeah there is fair amount of mini games... Treasure to find and tons of NPC quests in that Penacony area.
You're gonna enjoy Star Rail, it's an incredible game and very easy to get into. Gameplay is casual too, and you'll have enough time to enjoy what it has to offer.
I think you should rewatch certain animated shorts & myriad celestia trailers after finishing certain arcs within the game would be cool.
I love how Argenti's Ultimate is different depending on how much energy he has (I love pairing him with the Auspicious Star blessing in SU lmao)

The Clockie Penacony introduction DEFINITELY took some of it's inspiration from 1950s cartoons including Mickey Mouse yep.
I knew you said you’re gonna start on Thursday march 28th, but if login now and progress your way to get the event feature you’ll get 10 pulls and another 10 over seven days by logging in. However, if you progress to get the event tab that’ll take away from the stream watching you interact to the game for the first time you play through. you could record it? Just wanted to give you a heads up for the twenty pull. But if you’re not able to login for 2.0 you should be fine. 2.1 update is literally around the corner and they’ll give away twenty pulls over 7 days and the other 10 on anniversary.
In a few days, Acheron will receive a character demo, so be ready for that one. I'm pretty sure that one is gonna be a doozy 😂
