Nathan Adams is the character that appears as the main protagonist of the Yo-kai Watch anime series and Yo-kai Watch! games. He uses a Yo-kai Watch that was given to him by Whisper the yo-kai after he gets freed from a capsule from the Crank-a-kai. Nathan uses it to find hidden Yo-kai causing everyday problems. In Yo-kai Watch Shadowside, Nathan Adams is an adult, who is married to Katie Forester, and no longer uses the Yo-kai Watch.

true, in yo kai watch if there is some logic in the growth of the characters, an example emi chan, where in the first season she is a girl like nathan, then she is a mother, then her daughter he dies, but before he dies he has a son who is the reincarnation of jibanyan, basically 3 generations passed in series, while pokemon makes ash never grow up

I played every game and watched all the anime this shit was such an underrated franchise even at its peak. The games had such good attention to detail and the 10000000 side quests were sm fun

Yeah it was overrated the game and anime were so good I think if they putted more lore the show could do more it was so wrong the show ended
No joke this was the sh*t for me back in 2013-2018, the games were good and the anime was good. Respect for those who still remember and cherishes this game’s memories like me.

I remember getting this game as soon as it came out in the market. I was 8 at the time and now I'm 16. I was SOOO HOOKED to this game and I still remember crying so hard at the ending.

One of the funniest things about Nate's story is how despite having embarrassed himself in front of Katie so many times, they still end up getting married.
Alot of the names were misread or pronounced wrong like "HIDE"abat, Duke DROOLY and ALICKtocat. Still a great video.

I get the feeling he didn't just lose it but there's something we weren't shown and he had to give it up since there are adults without even yo-kai watches who never lose their ability to see yo-kai, at least in the games, I haven't watched any japan only anime at all or the dubbed anime for years so I might be wrong
@@haydenwhitlatch466 It’s because connections to the Yo-Kai world was destroyed, so Nate and everyone else had their Yo-Kai watches destroyed and their memories erased. Until Whisper gave a human child a new Yo-Kai Watch.
It's not kinda sad, it's REALLY sad. I can't understand the japanese series so I probably will never like the new protagonists. The fact that Nate can't even see Jibanyan and Whisper makes me really sad for some reason. I hope he gets remembered that these two exist just like Jane who was able to see her friend D-Stroy again

I stopped watching yokai watch after a completing season 2 and watching some special episodes because the show was losing its touch but I am really happy to know that my man finally got the girl.

It’s sad how the series fell down, I watched this as a kid and played the games too. I honestly found it not even similar to Pokémon and the Yo Kai back stories were really cool because it connected to real life folklore Yokai watch has been a huge part of my childhood
Oh damn, I loved the Yo-Kai watch games when they came out and I even watched the anime twice, it's so nostalgic seeing this video! It brings back memories of how much fun I had with the games!
I always liked the trope of characters losing their memory of having powers or supernatural friends. To me it feels like it's something interesting that could maybe happen in real life wherein we experienced some supernatural occurrence but it was wiped out of our memories.

I don't know that troupe can work in some cases but I this case I feel like that troupe isn't needed. I like the troupe of kids seeing supernatural things. I feel like nate been with the yo kai for so long that I would make sense to just loose his memory. @@Mornya Even if they’re still up, we probably aren’t getting the fourth game localized. The third game wasn’t popular enough and it wouldn’t be worth it to spend money hiring VAs and localizing the game if the previous game didn’t sell well.

I remember watching Yo-Kai Watch as a kid and now, it still watch it in my spare time! This is such an underrated franchise and personally, it needs more recognition. Its characters and story are well-driven and for me, I still hold it dear to me in heart.

Yo-Kai Watch 2 is my favorite game of all time, to this day, and I haven't played it in years. I even have a model zero toy that's collecting dust, but still works. This is such an underrated franchise and I shall spread the word to have others experience this greatness in hopes that 4 can be localized sooner.

Yo-Kai Watch Used to be my favorite anime, until I stopped watching it. I don’t really know why I stopped, but it was the only anime that I liked. Now that I saw that the lore is more thicker than I previously thought it was, I’m so glad I watched this video.

I got away from the franchise after the 3rd game was released outside of Japan but I got and INTENSE Yo kai watch phase back when I was in middle school, so knowing that Nate can't see yo kais anymore is extremely heartbreaking to me (even though I should have guessed as much since if I remember right it IS established in the lore that as you age , you lose the ability to see yokais)

I haven’t heard about Yo-Kai Watch in years! I’m glad I found this video tho- it brought back when I first got the game in a 2DS which I was obsessed with, I literally ended falling in love with the game along with Pokémon (I used to be a huge fan of Pokémon and Yo-kai watch, I’m still am but I have tone down it) it also remind me when I first encounter the show on Netflix which my first reaction was “YO-KAI WATCH! IMA WATCH RIGHT NOW” and just went right in, I also love the show and it shenanigans lol, surprisingly I still have the game, the first game and the second game which was my favorite, which I forgot the name since there were two versions of them, but I do remember that my favorite part of the second game was hilariously the infinite tunnel I think it was because of its creepy vibe and mystery, but must admit it was at the same pretty much annoying sometimes and it was because of the boss which I never defeated it, I also remember loving this thing where some stranger will just approach you and give this red box which the stranger says “Don’t open it”which for some reason I ended doing twice which ended up being a Yo-Kai encounter which this two-headed pink poodle dog thing that has the face of a human man which in the second time I ended up befriending it and having its Yo-Kai badge and I used him a lot in Yo-Kai battles, overall glad to be reminded of this lovely series and game

The fact Nathan has a bit of pre-movie Timmy Turner where he grows up and forgets his magical friends really blows. You'd think the memories would stay somewhat. Now he's almost a typical dumb Dad in a TV series.
He didn’t forget. The destruction of the Yo-Kai Watch and the seal on Enma severed connections between the Human and Yo-Kai world, so anyone who once knew or could see Yo-Kai had their communications broken and memories erased. Even though the Human and Yo-Kai realm regained connection after the events of Shadowside, Nate still never retrieved his memories though. He lived the rest of his life as a normal person, concluding his life and probably turning into a Yo-Kai again.
