全国で、年末の風物詩「第九」の公演中止が決まる中、ザ・シンフォニーホールでは舞台上も客席もソーシャルディスタンスに配慮した2020年ならではの「第九」を開催。小編成のオーケストラと選抜メンバーによる合唱、そして気鋭の指揮者・三ツ橋敬子と関西に所縁のある4人のソリストがお届けした「静寂と至福の第九」は、ベートーヴェン生誕250周年に際し、「第九」の新たな姿での演奏会となった。

While traditional year-end performances of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 have been cancelled nationwide, a uniquely 2020 version of the Ninth was held at the Symphony Hall, with consideration given to social distancing both on stage and in the audience. With a small orchestra and a chorus of select members, delivered by up-and-coming conductor Keiko Mitsuhashi and four soloists with connections to Kansai, this “Ninth Symphony of Stillness & Bliss” was a concert which gave new shape to Beethoven’s Ninth on the occasion of his 250th birthday.
三ツ橋敬子[指揮]
東京藝術大学及び同大学院を修了。第10回A.ペドロッティ国際指揮者コンクールにて日本人として初めて優勝。2009年Newsweek Japan誌にて「世界が尊敬する日本人100人」に選出。TBS系列ドキュメンタリー番組「情熱大陸」に取り上げられた。
Keiko Mitsuhashi, conductor
Keiko Mitsuhashi graduated from the Tokyo National University of the Arts. Mitsuhashi was the first Japanese winner of the 10th Antonio Pedrotti International Conducting Competition and the first woman who became a prize winner at the 9th Arturo Toscanini International Conducting Competition receiving the second prize along with the Audience Award. In 2009, the Newsweek Japan selected her as one of the “100 Japanese People the World Respects.” Her concerts for children with the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra have been very well appreciated.
日本センチュリー交響楽団
1989年に発足。現在50名のメンバーが在籍。飯森範親が首席指揮者、秋山和慶がミュージックアドバイザーを務める。新しい時代のオーケストラとしての発展を目指し活動している。
Japan Century Symphony Orchestra
Established in 1989. Currently 50 members are enrolled. Norichika Iimori is the principal conductor and Kazuyoshi Akiyama is the music advisor. We are working to develop as an orchestra in a new era.
武久 竜也(バス) Tatsuya Takehisa (Bass)
関西を中心に活躍するバス歌手。エリザベト音楽大学大学院修士課程修了後、ミュンスター音楽大学に留学。関西二期会準会員、堺シティオペラ会員、神戸市混声合唱団団員。
A bass singer primarily active in Kansai. After completing the master’s program at Elisabeth University of Music, he studied abroad at the Münster School of Music. Associate member of Kansai Nikikai, member of the Sakai City Opera, and member of the Kobe City Philharmonic Chorus.
白石 優子(ソプラノ) Yuko Shiraishi (Soprano)
大阪音楽大学卒業。「フィガロの結婚」の伯爵夫人等オペラでの主要な役を演じる他、「第九」や宗教曲のソロを務めるなど幅広く活躍する。関西二期会、堺シティオペラ会員。
Graduated from Osaka College of Music. In addition to playing major roles in operas such as the Countess in The Marriage of Figaro, she has been widely active as a soloist in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 and religious songs. Member of the Sakai City Opera and Kansai Nikikai.
長谷川 明莉(アルト) Akari Hasegawa (Alto)
京都市立音楽高等学校（現 京都市立京都堀川音楽高等学校）卒業。京都市立芸術大学音楽学部声楽科卒業。現在、関西二期会準会員、神戸市混声合唱団団員。
Graduated from Kyoto Municipal Senior High School of Music (currently Kyoto Municipal Kyoto Horikawa Senior High School of Music). Graduated from the Vocal Department, Faculty of Music, Kyoto City University of Arts. Currently an associate member of Kansai Nikikai and a member of the Kobe City Philharmonic Chorus.
小餅谷 哲男(テノール) Tetsuo Komochiya (Tenor)
大阪音楽大学音楽学部声楽科首席卒業、同大学院オペラ研究室修了。ミラノ ヴェルディ音楽院にて研鑽。現在、関西二期会副理事長、同研修所所長、関西歌曲研究会理事、大阪音楽大学講師、桃山学院教育大学教授。
Graduated from the Vocal Department, Faculty of Music, Osaka College of Music, and completed the Opera Research Room program at the college’s Graduate School. Studies at the Milan Conservatory. Currently acting as Vice President of Kansai Nikikai and Director of its Training Institute, Director of the Kansai Song Research Association, Lecturer at the Osaka College of Music, and Professor at Momoyama Gakuin University of Education.
