- This video is the culmination of the efforts of all living members of Sacred Warrior, past and present. In these troubling times, we want to lift your spirits with the knowledge that Christ is in control and is the only hope for salvation. He is THE Solid Rock that we stand on, and His is the ONE name under Heaven by which we must be saved!
Please share far and wide, it is our prayer that this song will be an encouragement to those who already know Christ, and a beacon of light and hope for those who are hopeless and seeking!

I somehow missed Sacred Warrior back in my 80's Christian metal days, but after coming back to Christ last year, I dove back into the scene to not only happily find out that Stryper got back together, but then to discover this whole world of Christian metal that I missed over the years. Gotta admit... I teared up a little at the little honorific to Rick Macias.
I had never even heard of this band, I am a prog rock and alt metal fan. I know the old hymn, and this version is just unbelievably amazing. I listened to it countless times during COVID year, and even more after the capitol insurrection. Just absolutely astounding anthem for chaotic times.
I'm not a big metal fan but occasionally I come across a song that I like. To say that I like this is an understatement. This is incredible. I love that even though the music is metal the integrity of the original hymn is intact.

Cried the first time I ever heard it. I am still tearing up with each replay. Such steadfast faith, such dedication to their craft, such a gift to each of us!
When I was in college, Tony Velazquez was touring with another band and visited our town and stayed with my room mate and me. Long story short, when the rest of the band went out, Tony stayed behind and spent the night hanging out with four nerdy college students when he didn't have to. He could not have been a nicer, more gentle and humble person - even when he noticed that I didn't have any Sacred Warrior CDs in my collection! :) What I remember most was the smile that never left his face and it's nice to see that it's still there! Great song, guys, and God bless!

Sacred warrior represents our heavenly father and gracious ,patient , Creator taking back what is rightfully his as he does one step at a time towards the end of time, towards the mimics demise. But for the ages he has gone about stealing everything he can ,even the representative the rainbow , Music as one of his favorite tools. even warping the truth into a lie. Yes all music gives glory to God especially rock music and metal but Satan the snake took this to use for his glory and to bring about the deaths and destruction of millions of lives. I can say in my lifetime especially my teen years I was face-to-face with this truth.

So I'm I folk hymn singer, and not into metal at all and even I can see this is freaking amazing.
Phenomenal!!! All of the vocalists sound AMAZING as do all of the instrumentalists.
Precisely this day Sunday I woke up from a dream where I was singing this beautiful hymn. So I looked it up and I came across the hymn in the traditional way. But afterwards I wanted to see if I would find it in a "rock" version and CZcams referred me to this video of SACRED WARRIOR....so I pressed play and began to read and and later the song began...my eyes were wide open. Guys....BROTHERS....you guys blew it out of this world. I love hymns as I grew up on them and they have been a part of my musical growth and training grounds but to come and find this version of yours....I must say this version and arrangement does justice to this song as JESUS IS AND MUST BE THE ROCK ON WHICH SHOULD STAND as He is our ONLY TRUE HOPE. This is WITHOUT QUESTION . . . the most heartfelt and most meaningful version of this song I have ever heard! I am so blessed to have been able to see Sacred Warrior in concert at least once at the Kings Place in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, when I was just a teenager . . . I will be 49 years old next week. It has been at least 32 years that this band has been effective at ministering to my heart. I am so grateful for this ministry. Thank you for standing strong for Jesus during all of these years. You have no way of knowing this, but I was a preacher's kid who needed to be encouraged in my walk of faith. Your band has been a constant in my life . . . and helped me not go the way of Roger Martinez of Vengeance . . . On that note, keep praying that God will bring him back to repentance. My heart is so broken over his godless transformation; he is remarkably another person who kept me focusing during my youth on the faith of Jesus Christ . . . I am sorry to see him fall so far into blasphemy. I can only respond with empathy and a call to others to pray for his return to his formerly self-proclaimed faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus can soften hardened hearts; I am praying for Roger today. But I digress, thanks to Sacred Warrior for this powerful rendition. You should think about recording a full album of hymn favorites with the same power and amazing presentation. Thanks again!!!

The three vocals were epic! It was really great to see Eli again too. It's great to see a healthy Joe and Tony on the keys and drums too! Thank you for all the collaboration and hard work it must've taken to pull this off. With busy lives and schedules I know it wasn't easy.
