    Thanks for putting together this series. I love how you’re always being creative with the capabilities and limitations of the Force. I always leave with more ideas for ways to use this incredible machine.

    Nice work. Some food for thought. I'll be playing with all these methods to while away the time. A+++++

    Sick man! That sounds excellent. Quick question. Just got a force second hand. The damn thing shuts down every time I turn it on right away. Is it the battery not being charged up or is the thing bricked? The power source is the correct ampage and wattage too.
    90w 4.(something)A. I Can’t find anything online as far as troubleshooting.

    • @nicethings
      @nicethings  Před 2 lety

      Cheers, is the PSU the original one? It's not just wattage, it's the voltage 19v or something. Check to confirm, if not you'll have to get one that runs the correct current and voltage.

    • @colindavis2113
      @colindavis2113 Před 2 lety

      @@nicethings yep it’s a 19v power source as well.

      Figured it out. The damn male piece is the completely wrong size so it’s not taking. Plugged in the correct one today and it booted up fine. Wankers sending me the wrong shiz 😑

    So Akai Force has actual a Pitch timeStretch Algorythm but just for drumtracks and not for timestretch on Audiotracks?

    • @nicethings
      @nicethings  Před 2 lety +2

      It’s there on both, but slightly different ways. That said, STRETCH has some additional tricks in the bag, which I’ll try get into in another video.

    I’ve been reading on the Forums the amount of problems with this machine with upgrade - from what they say new upgrade makes the machine do unstable it’s now almost unusable. Please could you tell me your opinion. Thank you

    • @nicethings
      @nicethings  Před 2 lety +3

      Some folks say they’re having issues I’ve never seen on the new update, but I’m slowly getting the feeling they’re doing wonky stuff like; saving Audio to the internal space, disk-streaming on low-speed SD Cards, and other things the Force OS wasn’t built to cope with. As far as I’m aware, there’s nothing even close to this device, in one self-contained box made by any other music product company. Objectively, it’s as close as you can get to laptop DAW power without using a laptop and DAW

    On ne peut pas activer la fonction loop ?

    • @nicethings
      @nicethings  Před 2 lety +1

      Sorry, my French is not good. But you can loop, it’s just not that straight forward and easy to do as a standard DJ app.

    I’m in limbo with my force as it keeps crashing and saying it’s recovering from an internal error… think it’s somewhat buggered…miffed as I didn’t even use it that much. 🙄😭

    • @nicethings
      @nicethings  Před 2 lety

      Sorry to hear about that. Best ideas - install 3.06, then 3.10, and if no change, do it again but reset preferences. I’m assuming you’re not saving to the Akai Force drive and are using SD or SSD/HDD.

      @@nicethings yeah an sd card.. I tried a different as card but still happened.. done the updates and also factory reset… I’ve been in touch with akai and they sent through some things to do hopefully that’ll work or it’s a new mother board and at that sorta price may as well scrap it

    • @nicethings
      @nicethings  Před 2 lety

      It’s strange as few folks have had issues I’ve never had on any official release after 3.04, if you disk-streaming from a SD card, that could probably cause errors (not that you said you are?). That said, I’ve only used an SSD (and twice a usb stick on 3.04, when it wouldn’t save).

    dj-ing with the force is really no option. If you differ from original bpm just a few, the track will sound like crap. Can't be taken seriously.

    • @nicethings
      @nicethings  Před 2 lety +2

      It all depends on what you’re doing, but you can definitely DJ with the Force. These guides are not for someone buying the Force specifically for DJing, that would be a terrible idea (VDJ 2021 + DJ-505 is DJ magic!), it just to show it’s another tool in this box of tricks.
