- Season 20 brought us some insane new abilities, but did you know that it made Rampart the BEST Legend in Apex... at Reloading?? Yeah, it's OP. I'm showing off just how fast Rampart can reload now and testing if she is a strong legend in season 20, or if she's still... one of the worst? I drop 4k damage though so she can't be that bad, lol

I actually very rarely use shiela. setting up only when enemy is in view, and to back off and heal/rez teammates. She's an all in one, support, anchor and machine gun. Im glad people dont like her, so she doesn't get nerfed.
yeah, she keeps on getting buffed instead, but if they continue she might become popular and then they'll nerf her to the ground.

As someone that has mained Rampart since she came out, I would say amped cover is the most useful part of her kit.

Rampart main here with over 25tho kills. Sheila gives free kills and your walls keep you from getting killed. There is alot more too what you can do with rampart then people realize. I use to drop endlessly at big stacks from worlds edge before the moved it and I cannot tell you the amount of times I was in there solo with over 5 squads and came out last man standing without crazy movement I might add and on console. Play the players setting up 3 sheilds in consecutive order allowing you to step back after each one snaps has allowed me to wipe more full squads at the same time then Sheila ever did. Especially if they know your sheild is broke they keep pushing and you can bank on that. With the new perks this makes things even better and if I can tell you one hint, saving your third perk pick until end game or until you find another team but not before. This allows you to have the opportunity for a sneak attack with Sheila and sqaud wipe or if you hold zone you place her and go for fast reloads. Very pivotal choices

I would very much be down for a how to rampart guide with your humor! I tried to dabble in her last week cuz I like lmgs and she benefits those, but when i try to use Shelia I get hosed like a valk and some sake.
The reason why you didn't get much value from Amped Reloads is because that perk is more suited for defensive playstyles. I found them most useful when holding down angles with sniper rifles and LMGs, which you probably never use if you're eager to get close and personal.
As a Rampart main with 12k kills I can tell you for sure you will never use that quick reload
Long range, you either 2-shot that enemy with your 106 body shot dmg sentinel or that guy run away, the moment you have to reload you already failed.
Mid-Close range, people aren't dumb, they heal and reload after peeking your wall, that means no matter how fast you reload as long as they don't peek, it is pointless
Also the barrier part usually breaks after 1~2 poke fight, losing the reload buff.
Also just use Sheila.

Tbh it does take a while to get good woth wall placements and picking them back up. But even then shiela is better - which makes sense since its an ult

I have played Rampart since b4 the Mobile shield update and i love her walls. i was telling gaming merchant the reload perk was awesome but he really didnt seem to like it that much at the time
I like playing Rampart, not just for Sheila. But because her amp walls can be very helpful as cover in an open area, even if they are broken quickly, you can still maybe pull off a revive or some heals. Her passive for enhanced handling on LMGs is really nice, alongside the extra ammo capacity. I think the entirety of Rampart is really good. But that's just imo.

Btw are you aware you can pust the swap fire mode button to put sheila on cooldown earlier meaning more Sheila
Ive been maining Rampart since she came out in S6. Before Sheila become mobile, she was a bit weak, but usefull if you know what you're doing. Now that Sheila is mobile, she can be VERY agressive
Ramparts amped cover is a really important part of her kit. Her lack of movement is solved by the amped cover and as a controller legend lets her defend any spot. Not only it has more health than Conduit's tactical, it gives you DAMAGE BUFF (it's really op with charged sentinel). Rampart wins all sniper and door fights. I main her because I just like her I guess? I was maining Wattson at first because she gave free shields but Rampart has literally 3 of them. I think Rampart has potential to be played in ALGS, and she actually was used in comps by Disguised. I really wonder what would Rampart be if her turret was automatic.
Conclusion:
Rampart is a controller legend that can do massive amounts of damage using her amped cover and take absolutely no damage and secure knocks easily and take down evac towers with her ultimate.
I play rampart, but I rarely use Sheila. I mostly use her amp walls.
They removed the faster reloading from big maude guns ages ago, or am i wrong?

As a Rampart main I sometimes use Sheila
She can fast reload LMGs which are powerfull if you know how to shoot them, you can stack your walls if you have no cover to revive somebody etc
I also thought she was shitty but after watching gaming Merchant and playing and learning her she turned out to be a fun legend to play and even op sometimes

I will say that I am a rampart main that used to over use sheila, but she still a good legend if you can master her tactical. I have multiple 10 kill games from using rampart, and I love her for the good defense and offense.
yeah I would use shiela more if I played on controller because crazy aim assist + no recoil = insane instakills on people in the open
What do you mean no recoil? Aim assist does not get rid of recoil😮 unless you mean strafing while shooting.

Ramparts been my main since season 8. Her passive kind of sucks but her walls have always been useful.
well as a rampart main i happy to hear people hate rampart, because when i play some of my team wont use it :D
My only problem is Shiela is pretty hard to track with on MnK because of the muzzle flash you cant really see what youre aiming at, but controller players on rampart don't have that problem because aim assist does most of the tracking anyway 😭

In full honesty, I am a rampart main, and she isn't too bad of a legend. Yes, I understand it is quite annoying to fight multiple of them at every corner since this event, but she can be useful like Gibby and Newcastle
I have 11k kills with Rampart, and I don't really play Sheila a lot.😅
You can really notice when you play against a good or bad Rampart player is her positioning because most of the new Rampart players always camp. And to find a good Rampart in-game is like never..😅
The best ability she has that no legend has is her ability to create cover from nothing. It's better than Sheila imo.
