- Sold my SSR MS1 setup and opted for a lightweight wheel combo. For the price, I won't find anything that's cost effective and under 18lbs.
18x9.5 +15 255/40R18
Wheel was right under 18lbs in my scale
18x10.0 +38 285/35R18
Wheel was also right under 18lbs.
Check this chart for a list of width and offset that clears Brembo and Akebono

I like it! I have a g37s coupe and I want these rims but going with 19's since I already have the stock 19's. Light weight and affordable 🤙🏽 good video!
Thanks for supporting the video. These wheels for sure are the best weight to cost combination. Rpf1 in 19” look so good. It’ll for sure be killer on a coupe

Very clean. Will be going 18x10 +38 square, 14 q50. Thanks for clearing up fitment for that.

Thx for this video. I will need to get a new wheel for track setup and this is perfect
Hey brother, are your rear fender pulled? you might be able to rock the swaure 9.5" +15. the hub depth is different, and more shallow on the 10" +38. some don't like the difference

Is that a Pontiac in the background?? Super cute. Car looks marvelous with the rpf1z
Beautiful G, I got the X sedan so I decided to run a square setup, I got enkei lusso’s but I’m running a meaty setup with 18x8 with 245/40 I’m plannin on having track fitment on my G. And where did u get the calipers/covers I’ve been wanting some but I’m just not sure where to find them
Hey brother,
I appreciate the support and good word.
The Akebono were stock on my car since I have the sport model. I would either recommend finding a part out to get the whole brake setup off the car or checking out PowerStop for their refurbished brake kit
I know this is a old video. But do you think I'll have any issues running 18s 9.5 10mm offset. On a AWD g35 I put them on the front looks like they stick out a little. I haven't put them all in yet. Im not lowered and it's in factory spec for as camber
You won’t have any issues with the awd system but at stock height and factory spec alignment it will stick out front and rear and look a bit funny.
I would recommend the 18x9.5 +38 RPF1 spec if you are stock height and don’t have the Akebono brakes
17s in any size will not clear diameter-wise along the face. The disks and brakes need minimum 18" wheels. Also any reccomendations for front lights?
Certain drag front runner wheels will clear up front. But that’s very few. Some drag style wheels and a few other wheels in 17” will also clear the rear.
For the front light, you wanting to modify the oem? JohnnyBlaze on IG and FB is a good one to go with.
I went and got the same spec for my g37, I was wondering if I could pull this fitment with just coilovers
Hey,
Thank for checking out my video.
I’m on coilovers also in this video.
Height was about 27” from ground to fender so you can get it the same also
hey how do u think 245/40/18 (front) 265/35/18 (rear) would look on 18x8.5?im also on springs. I just ordered that set up for my rpf1s that im currently running 235/45/18, 245/40/18 on. do you think id run into problems?
RPF1 in a 18x8.5 come in a +30 and +40. The +30 is decent spec. 235/40r18 is an exact match to 265/35r18, but if you are rwd 245/40 can work also.
No problems with rubbing or anything
@@ProjectPanda13 thanks so much for the response bro. the setup u had in this video was super clean.
Can anyone tell me how would a 19x9.5 15 offset would fit all around on a g37 sedan I can see the front would stick out a lil like his, how would the rear look?
The 19x9.5 +15 will stick out a lot more in th back. the sedan can fit wider and more aggressive sizing up front than the rear. Its common that people run a saure 18x9.5 +15 RPF1 setup and do a 265 or 255 tire. This wold require a bit more camber in the rear to get it look right, or you can't be too low.
I specifically picked a 10.0 +38 in the rear to be able to fit more tire.
maybe a stupid question but can this same same setup work with stock brake setup ? or should i wait and get some akebonos ?
It’s a good question. The setup can work with stock base model / journey brakes also.
This setup just allows more room for the Akebono also.
Hey Project Panda. I need a quick consulation. I have a question about the RPF1 wheels. I saw a deal online for those wheels but, the lug pattern is 5x115. Can I use 5x115 on these g37 2012 RWD with some adjustments? Here is the size of the rims: Front: 18x 8.5, and rear is 18x10. I wonder how to fit these on the G. Any hub centric rings do you suggest? I am really appreciated! Thank you.
Hi Duy,
Thanks for dropping in on my video
If the website says 5x115 then it means the rounded up from 5x114.3. From Enkei’s website, RPF1 isn’t made in 5x115. So you are good there.
The 18x8.5 looks to be offered in two offsets, +30 and +40. If the deal has to be this width, go with the +30. It’ll be 10mm more to the outside and look better.
The 18x10 only comes in a +38. It’s the same wheel I am running in the video for the rear.
I do recommend getting hun centric rings also.
Hope this helps.
@@ProjectPanda13Thank you for your insight! Last but not least, does the 8.5 clear the akebono?

Does having less offset makes the rims look for fit better?
Thanks for dropping in on the video.
with regards to offset, every car has a range in wheel offset that makes it fit better. its different for every car, and for every fitment style.
a lower (smaller number, or even negative number) means the outside lip pushed more outward of teh car, towards the fender.
as you move higher in offset number, the wheel is less aggressive and the inside lip moves towards your suspension.
Thanks for all the info. You think 17s rpf1s in the rear would work over Akebonos ?
i am not sure with 17" RPF1. I have been wanting to know about this myself. I'm trying to find someone local to ask if i can do a test fit but haven't found anyone yet.

Yes, since the 2007-2008 G35 sedan shared the same chassis and body style, these wheel specs 18x9.5 +15 and 18x10 +38 will look the same on your car.
Keep in mind the 9.5” +15 will poke a good bit

I have some buddies run square setup with 245/45/18.

Thanks for checking out my video.
With staggered setups, different front and rear widths, you can’t rotate.
That’s the advantage of running square.
@@ProjectPanda13 but my question is that
If front and rear rims have Different offset, can you still do tire rotation??
@@Qkfltpdls777 , oh, yes, as long as it doesn’t interfere with suspension.
