  • The Velo League is a new event at‪@GrassrootsTrustVelodrome‬ - an all ages track racing league happening every 5 weeks on Sundays.
Is neat, because it's another way to get value out of weekends in the Waikato. It's also more track riding, and without Junior racing happening on Fridays it will fill that gap (somewhat. maybe not as fun).
C-grade turned out to be quite small but good competition. A good day of racing alongside TASC winter series in the morning • First road race win!! ...
Shout-out to Carter, Eva and the other girl who had a crash in warm-up and couldn't join in. Hope you're back in action soon.

You’ve got the best handle bars in the business there, I had the same pair as a junior and still have them.

Interesting. We do it a little differently in denmark. Track also doesn't seem as big there as here with the amount of riders. Thats maybe why this young bloke also is riding with some older folks but the gearing does seem quite low when i look at the cadence.

Hello Denmark from New Zealand! I wish cycling (and track cycling) was as popular here as it is around where you are. We're lucky to have this indoor track and a small group of keen riders, but yea aside from the school and age group champs we ride in grades with all ages. There's open gearing for this competition but i stick with my 48/15, the junior limit is 7m. I want a 50 tooth actually.

@JonatheDropped hey again. I myself ride as a 2. Year U17 rider and we usually ride with 7.5m (50-14) gearing for our normal events. But 7m (50-15) for nationals. I'm happy that it's popular around here, so we get 20+ riders in each age group basically all the time. Wish ya the best of luck pal 🚴‍♂️💨
