I’m so depressed this show ended... this was one of the coolest shows ever.
Matthew Willis he has a new one with sane premise, dark waters
I think they ended the show just to replace the title from "River monsters" into "Dark waters".they ran out of river related ideas thats why. Imagine having the title "River Monsters" while fishing in the ocean lol.
Jay Cee I definitely think that had something to do with it. There are only so many rivers with huge fish, and most of them are some sort of catfish.
@@kingcobrajfssepaboosterclub yeah. almost all of those river fish are already featured in many episodes that's why they decided to change the format so it won't get repetitive.
I have a stick
"Sometimes small, is deadly" so you're telling me there's hope?!
Yes you can be saved like a old man
man said "Its not the size of the ship it's the motion of the ocean"
Yes you can be small and deadly, especially with STD's
Asian men w aids is rly wat he meant mate
@@nicholisredfern9189 its not about the motion in your ocean, but the spasm in her chasm.
With a name like supal33tkilla, no, there is no hope for you.
I’ve caught many needlefish in my days. In Sweden we call them beak-pike. Fun fact, there bones are actually green.
Do you eat them in Sweden? We have them in South Carolina also.
RedfishCarolina we don’t fish Commercially for them but when you want mackerel but get them as bycatch you sometimes eat them.
Interesting! Do they taste anything like a mackerel? I may need to go rope fishing now. They are common around our docks and boat ramps.
RedfishCarolina they’re not as fat as mackerel and it’s not much meat, but they taste good
*their bones
Gotta respect all his hard work
WCS123 you gotta get paid somehow
WCS123 got to say when they travel along denmark we catch them in huge amounts like on a whole day u can catch close to 60 so his amount of work is kind of silly
Here in nassau I snorkel with these guys in the shallows. I keep distance because theyre not that interesting anyway,
they send him all over the world to go fishing and then they pay him.
Especially since he was able to get permission to fish in Chernobyl.
It's funny how the fish just goes along with the display, Jeremy opens the mouth and the fish keeps it open he closes the mouth fish keeps it closed, great teamwork
paid actor
This guy has been old for over 40 years 😅
Andrew Gerety , Flea from the *Red Hot Chili Peppers* ?
Bruh honestly.... Jeremy, Jerry springer, Maury, dr phil thos mfs been old for as long as i can rember
They are part of the illuminati. They get to live forever but they have to be old forever. Only bad part.
@@charlesjohnson5429 lol nobody gets to live forever
numan safi and looking great
Next up: Catching a bony eared assfish
Just reading that made me spin my dip out
That's a real thing
Wtf it’s a real thing
The bony-eared assfish (Acanthonus armatus) is a bathypelagic species of cusk-eel found in tropicaland sub-tropical oceans at depths of from 1,171 to 4,415 metres (3,842 to 14,485 ft). It has been found as far north as Queen Charlotte Sound off British Columbia's coast.[3] This species grows to a length of 37.5 centimetres (14.8 in) SL. It is the only known member of its genus Acanthonus.
Next up: Massive Spotted Dick caught
Xenentodon cancila, the freshwater garfish, is a species of needlefish found in freshwater and brackish habitats in South and Southeast Asia.(Wikipedia)
Ok thanks.
I’m pretty sure this is a saltwater needle fish we catch them all the time here in Florida and we also call them hound fish
FlackGamingTV you’re 100% right Florida boy born and raised myself it’s definitely a hound fish/needle fish saltwater
@@ThatNoFbody-ch9ky good cut bait
His commentary could make anything unnecessarily tense, a girl trips in the park:
"Could there be a silent killer lurking in the dense concrete? A barbaric and deadly hunter who lurks in the shadows and strikes its prey with lethal and unwavering ferocity before disappearing in the dark shadows on our streets?
Nah man my kid just slipped on an empty Coke can.....weirdo
Jordan Lamb I died laughing 🤣🤣🤣
Jordan Lamb Ancient alien theorist say yes!
IKR some of these guys make everything sound amazing and tense.
omg yes
Fse
He could buy you're family
In 2015 or 2016 I caught one of these by accident when it jumped into my boat! 🚣♂️
I was dangling a blue mop of the side of the boat and it attacked the mop but landed in my boat. I got gloves and threw it back. And yeah they do bite.
same thing
I caught one of those yesterday, was super careful when handling it. Those things kill. My friend was wondering why I was so careful and had to tell him the stories 😂👍🏼
Very cool looking fish. I feel like such an dufis, because last year in Mexico, I came upon a few of them, (first time seeing this kind of fish). Then came across one that was alone and I got super close, it turned around and made eye contact with me. I guess I was teasing the fish a bit, because I kept swimming after it. Now, I will never do that again after reading the stories about them killing people, since they can use their snouts as spears.
Interesting how the needlefish shares the same basic elongated shape as the gar, pike and barracuda.
An excellent shape for any fish that is known as a very fast and aggressive predator.
I caught one of these on a house boat trip on the
Hawksbury river nearly a meter long with a lure and I'm 13
It's called convergent evolution
"Eventually something strikes." Patience makes Jeremy Wade the great fisherman he clearly is.
I'm just amazed that there exists every shape of fish, geometry consists.
I’d love to go fishing with this dude!
The chance of getting stabbed by that fish is low but never zero.
CONGRATULATIONS YOU’VE CAUGHT 1/4 OF THE MEMBERS OF NED AND THE NEEDLE FIS
I wish Jeremy would have said what equipment he used in each episode so I can copy him
Lizardfish Jeremy used a fishing rod to go fishing
And wool or a thick string to catch this specific fisch, but I would tie a hook on, too, just in case something else bites
That’s probably why he doesn’t
hes using a daiwa saltiga reel
yeah
Wow !! Good job with the needlefish Jeremy . ❤️👍
Roughly 10 years ago whilst snorkelling in the South Pacific my wife & I rounded a large outcrop where a rock face met the waters edge & came face to face with a species of this fish. Comfortably a metre long, it opened its jaws as wide as it could to demonstrate it felt threatened, we promptly wet ourselves with fear & gave it all the room it needed, & then it shot off into the open water. All these years I've never known what it was until stumbling across this video in my recommendeds on CZcams. Thanks River Monsters!
This was a good positive fishing video. Thanks Jeremy!
you are legend.. thank you for providing such a great information with all...
Needlefish look like baby baracudas
I thought they look more like gar
It’s mixed
Baracudas look totally different. More like a Garfish
I like rocks
It looks more like a needle nose gar not to be mixed with the alligator gar thats somethig else
This is still one of my favorite series
Needlefish in the thumbnail looks so frickin done
I once caught a 43 inch long needlefish that weighed 12 pounds, top water lure with amazing acrobatics, took around 10 minutes to bring it in and release it. One of the most incredible fights for a small fish. I later found out it would have been close to a record.
Excellent videos Jeremy I had one of those in a fish tank years back when I was a kid very predatory fish I live on the east coast in Massachusetts I caught a walleye here which is very rare in a pond that was Stocked by my friend's dad Take care 👍
such a stunning looking fish those needlefish. i remember wen jeremy going to fiji and fishing with one local with a kite and spider webs for them
Title: “Can Jeremy catch a needlefish?”
*holds one in the thumbnail*
logic+
I used to catch these down in Jamaica
😍😍😍😍终于更新啦!!
we need to start coming up with more legends and myths abt fish so he can keep making this show
I See all eposides of River monster ,well done
Hamed Pirshichani where bro
Sweet fishing 😁👍
A simple, gently and physically non-invasive Style of fishing :) refreshing to see
Can you discover a megaladon.
Megalodon don’t exist anymore stupid fool. If they did, over half the fish, whale, dolphin, shark and seal population would be gone
Beautiful colors on that fish.
The other day, I was impressed by the needlefish I caught for the first time. The taste of the body was light. Above all, I was excited by the very cool silhouette 👍👍👍
Interestingly enough, the fact he mentioned the possibility of jewellery provoking the needlefish into attacking is similar to how most barracuda attacks occur too.
i like how the title says ,
" can jeremy catch a needlefish ? "
and the thumbnail says it all 🤣 .
Very beautiful fish.
I love watching ur vids
What a cool job this man has..
amazing TV show of all time 😊
And to think I tried to catch these fish in Cancun, boy it would've been a painful vacation experience.
I LOVE THIS SHOW VERY MUCH...
We haven't think of that! They can be really dangerous.
Realwobbler I catch them every year since I’m 5 years old. I know many fishermen who catch them either. I never heard that anyone got hurt.
+Yoo Loo Yes, we caught them too and they weren't dangerous in this situation. But if they are chased by other predatory fish, they start jumping out of the water to escape. If it happens that someone swims nearby, they can hit and injure him/ her.
@@yooloo7153 they are dangerous in the south Pacific. They may be a different species of needlefish and when provoked they are like arrows when they jump. I've cought them too in Florida.
I love this show..
You're so awesome jaramy do more videos
Jeremy can catch all kinds of cool fish!
With the eye there it looks like a pair of pliers with teeth
It's soooo cool looking. Are it's fine clear???!!!! Omg what a gorgeous creature. It's eyes r like liquid silver
Beautiful fish!
I was looking off a friends dock last week and saw little baby needlefish slithering across the top of the water, was pretty cool.
I've caught so many needlefish. Should have come to Green Cove Springs, Florida during shrimping season you would have caught a bunch
1:09 Brilliant, genius idea!
Does he still do videos? If so than that’s amazing!
Bring this show back please
Wade your a great angler
Used to catch them with live bait and a bubble flloat
Great fun
Catch those quite often especially when shrimping
Most sustainable energy: Jeremy Wade.
God bless you man and all of you ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Such a beautiful fish
They grow up to 1.4 meters in Australia and they're also called long toms
Ha, I caught one of these today out wade fishing in SE Texas
Jeremy when are you going to investigate great whites in the UK? Lots more sightings now
i have caught a bigger one than that. they are really hard to be hooked. i used small treble with small diced fish as bait fishing from a bridge. its really fun trying to hook them.
I saw one of these needle fish while snorkeling in cuba
Come to thailand . I see hundreds of them every day
This show helped me discover the Goliath Tigerfish. I have 2 of these scary river monsters.
Fun fact that rope lure he uses is also used for gar
I just ate this while ago it taste mild and fine +1 with crispy fried.
Very good as bait for coral trout.
You're thbest Jeremy 🤙
The rope thing works on gar too, also you can micro fish for them too with small hooks and meat
LOL. My grandfather is a taxidermist and he specializes in fish. He had one of these on the wall in their living room when I was growing up and I always thought it looked like a scary monster🤣🤣
Very nice
Bring river monsters back qwq
nice!!💪💪💪
Rope trick works for gar fish in swamps by my house as well.
When I was a kid we would catch these for bait. A lot of fun to catch them, gotta use a super small hook
try the green one they love it more!
Wow!!! 😍😘to Jeremy !
In Java, that fish we call Tracas Fish...
Whoa! Legit just finished watching Richard Gene the Fishing Machine's video on Gar fishing with that exact string method.
Had the chance to swim with this fish in Mexico, stunning colours throughout the water when its swimming
This still going?
You're the best person
Best luck
I caught a 27" needle fish when I was like 7. I used part of a lady fish I just caught. It was a fight for me because of how small I was. As soon as threw in the line, the needle fish hit it
I’m in the Bahamas and I caught one with my cast net
Just caught one here in south tx with cast net
Tried to catch them today in norway quite hard actually
For me this case is finally clause🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
They're in Australia to and they love prawns on the surface
Me: reads title
Me: looks at thumbnail
Me: .....yes!
Ive catch needle fishing right here in Mims Fl out of the Indian river.
Its a shame this show is gone. Just like man vs wild there is only so many places you can go.
I just saw one of these at my local beach in Massachusetts in ankle deep water were I take my four yr old to play!! I was like wow what a strange looking creepy fish and I goggle searched it by describing it and Atlantic needle fish popped up. I had no idea these things were in our waters or that they got so close to shore.
I was pulling these things out easily in thailand ..... Rod and reel with hook and some small fish as bait ...
WOW!
Needle fish are crazy!
Look at those jaws!
I would not like to get hit by it!
