Despite Alex's very questionable views and actions he truly believed in Reunion's goal and meeting his sister again after everything he experienced lead him to make a drastic choice. Alex may have died long ago Skullshatterer on the other lives he won't remain alone for much longer.

I get that gas mask person was her buddy and all, but Amiya did what she had to do even if it was by accident that somewhat worked in her favor (but not the way she wanted). Meaning she clearly did not want that guy dead, but also needed to save the Doc.
Skullshatterer, Alex is his real name, is Misha's biological brother. It explains earlier in the episode that their own father sold Alex out for being infected, and that their mother died trying to stop the Ursus Government from taking Alex away.
shouldn't really get into right and wrong. Skull shatter got behind enemy lines and got himself killed. it was a risk he shouldn't have taken if he wanted to get back home. the risk he took was calculated but man is he bad at math.
Love the background music, and the story they are telling here even though skullshatterer was making some confusing choices but it does make sense with W enforcing him to think that this is the best option with her making the move of "Imma give you some of my own team to help you out" of which are the sarkaz boys that didnt know. For those that dont know arknights its the people with the huge horns that we see in episode 7 with the huge swords.
She has some of the coolest power and if you think that this was interesting, just wait till you see how she can transform in the future, it gets wild! 🔥🔥

Amiya was closer to the Doctor, and SkullShatterer had already been beaten. But he rallied when the Doctor was close and came very close to blind-siding Amiya's overwatch of the Doctor's wellbeing. So much so that her hand was forced and she had to use the means the most likely to prevent SkullShatterer from stabbing the Doctor with his knife, without fail. She was bitter that he'd forced her hand, but it had been a conscious on-the-spot decision. I know it's an adaptation, but I'm not wild that this take on Amiya portrays her doing something she didn't know she was capable of, and then going in denial afterwards. Amiya's staunch moral convictions being interpreted as naivete and not being in full command of what she can do makes her less credible as the Leader of Rhodes Island (and why people are suffering her to lead).
Oh, she knows full well what she can do. The rings are not there for decoration. She is just not used to take the power to a lethal end. My interpretation is that with Doctor at stake, she is willing to semi-consciously pull the trigger. She obviously felt guilty taking a life afterward, but I think she is more or less in a sorry but not sorry mindset.
Didn't amiya start understanding that sacrifices are normal just after Kalt'sit told her? My memory might be flawed but if i recal correctly she had a whole arc dedicated to the fact that she had to accept that war is war and difficult choices must be made. Here she had no time to think of what to do so her reflexes did the work. If so, her killing someone like this was a first no? So it is understandable for her to be in denial. Also i'm pretty sure she knows what she's capable of. That being said i do prefer the in game version but in the end the situation stays the same : she had to do something no matter what before doctor died.
