I've been trying to get a coworker to watch this show, he says he will only watch the documentary and I said the show is so much better. I asked him today if I can show him just one scene and he said yeah. I can't decide which scene so I'm just going to show him this. I've already gotten 3 coworkers hooked on it, I must get another.

I watched band of brothers for the first time 2 weeks ago. I was amazed when i found out it came out in 2001. Still one of the best war dramas i have even seen

I've seen this show 23 times now but this tribute is SO well done it makes me cry.
I am in my 4th year of college and I wanted to have a bit of a break from academic pressure and slowly pull myself together from succumbing to depression. I've always wanted to watch Band of Brothers and finally had a chance to lay myself down to bed and take a break. It just made me divert my loneliness from academics to this series😭Crying for days now

What a beautiful moment to have lived threw that. During a moment of resilience, hope, love, and hero’s. Sacrificing everything. For hope of a better future.
Ever before or since have I witnessed such an indescribable experience as this series I watched it inn it’s entirety on DVD, and it’s impact will be felt forever this series is like no other and I believe that another series of this calibre of this level will never be witnessed again.
To everyone involved in making Band of Brothers I thank you!
To the real men the heroes who served in the War I salute you!

I love this video so much and the title is perfect! I am unashamed of our troops and proud to say my granddad fought in WWII. He was a ground crewman for the Enola Gay and changed her spark plugs the day of Hiroshima. I am unashamed to dress like these men every Halloween for college parties because their cause was just. I am unashamed to support our military because of what they give for our freedom.

I had family that fought in that war. The current crop would never dare call them relics of the past but they have no problem calling their offspring such. These men fought for THEIR next generation. Nobody else. Those that criticise that generation for the privilege they were surrounded by can't understand that it was bestowed upon them by these warriors. It was for them they fought. Nobody else.

Dont get me wrong, he immediately got the right man for the job with Speirs anyway but it would have been interesting to see what would have happend if he would have gone himself. I know it also didnt happen like that in RL so pointless to do it in the show but yeah.

Altho in [Band of Brothers] They got a lot of facts wrong and the most outrages are the ones where they lie about the death in show wehre the real soldier still lived on in RL but for dramatic pourpose they lied in the show that he died. According to his own astonish since when he saw the show he was suprised to be listed as dead

I'm sure it would only show the good times if it was. We all know war is hell.
The heroic music during the last battlescenes is very inappropriate; because killing men is nothing heroic at all. Doesn´t matter on which side you fought, important is you´re alive now, and can do something for a new, and better world in the future.
It’s courage and the exhibition of masculinity that is responsible for fighting for what is right which is itself heroic. Yes, killing your enemy because you could and can IS heroic.
